Here we live in the ambiguity of Christianity and Modern
Secularism.

Well, that’s at least where I live. Here in the good ol’
2,500 populated city of Martinsville
IL. Where the grand station is a gas station and the characteristics of
socializing are very dogmatic. Everyone has to say, “Howdy.” It is as if you
enjoy talking to some of the most self conceited people that you have ever met.
Could there be anything worse than this typical Midwest
stereotype?

With my own tone of thinking and contemplation I would have
to say that there is something more annoying. It relates to all of the living
generations in the Midwest. Whether you are
from the GI Generation, Baby Boomers, and even my own Millennial Generation
there is something sad to say. All of these generations are either corrupted
within their Neoplatonic Christianity, self egocentricism, or both (usually
both).

This uneducated society is dismissing the reality of what
“earth” really is. We cannot tell her what to do, but all of our actions will,
and do, affect her. We only care enough to harm her with our own infections of
pollution. We tend to forget that our lives can only be lived within her
living. I cannot say that all of this is happening because of people’s own
forgetfulness or because of their uneducated status. People are forgetting to
care about earth because they do not care about the next generation.
Grandparents do not care about our parents, parents do not care about us, and
too often we do not care about our future children.

We only care to live within our own Dogmatics of ignorance
and platonic thinking of flying away to heaven. Whether you are a Christian or
not you merely need to open up your eyes to perceive the necessity of caring
for this earth.

For Christians:
I’m sorry, but we’re not going to fly away anywhere. The
presumption of an unending spiritual heaven is probably one of the most
unbiblical dogmatics of Christianity. You most likely will need to remove your
own platonic ideology and pursuit within the text.
God is going to renew this earth, and the first command that
he gave us was to take care of it. It was a commandment before the fall and it
is a role that He is expecting us to participate in. So yes! Get out of your
recliner, stop condemning other people (aka, homosexuals), and live as a
follower of God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Live a real life
that exalts the Divine.

For Postmodern Secularists:
Overall I must say that you are doing a great job, a lot
better than those Platonic Christians. With your mentality you understand that
the only essence for living is on this earth. When I look at you in Europe I am astounded. With your panentheistic mentality
you are doing a great job. The only thing that we’ll need to do now is remove
the self pride from the secularists in the Midwest.

Pictures!
I thought it would be interesting to see how much trash my
parents fit into the trashcan. I was curious to see how much of it would be
recyclable. I came to the realization that in only a few days there was A LOT
in the trash can that could be recycled. There was so much that I just decided
to take it out. Out of the two trashcans (in only a few days) I was able to
take out almost everything. Yes, with everything being recyclable and not
polluting the world that I live in, that my children will live in, and etc.

Note: Before you put something into the recycling box you
are suppose to rinse it. That is why it is in the sink drying.

This is only part of it. Mostly only the plastic. Not paper, cardboard, thin plastic, etc.

We have a bin for stuff like this behind the garage. Obviously no one has really been using it.

Who Kills History?

Why Kill History?

Why Repaint History?

Why Redefine History?

"History," Gk (h)istoría (ἱστορία) learning or knowing by inquiry,
history; deriv. of (h)ístōr one who knows or sees

As I close my eyes and look back into the history of time I am only able to
depict, in my mind, what I wish to reexamine. Within my mind I visualize the
reality of the past with my own form of painting a story. I slowly brush a dark
painting. It comes from a painting that I have seen before, and the painting
has been repainted with the story that someone else has painted.

She spoke to me in modesty. She uttered before she expressed the words
throughout her mouth. It seems as if she had a slight sorrow from what she was
not a part of. Yet... she didn’t hold back what she wished to say. She was
willing to tell me about the painting that was painted within her heart. She was
ready to say something. The one, being I, was the one that she could not stop
answering to. With knowing that I had a question she was ready to answer... she
was ready to answer to a question from where she would feel guilt, sorry, and
an element of despair.

There was a story that had been painted and repainted many
times. Though, there parts that she had still not forgotten. She continued to
know sections of the story that we painted inside of her over 60 years ago.

For too long she had been holding it back. In the time of history no one asked
he the same question that I asked. No one would have needed to ask the
question. Everyone that lived in her time of history could no deny the truth of
reality. For her... she was not telling me a history tail. She would come out
to depict reality within my scrutinized mind.

On that night, she was the (h)ístōr that relived her life. I sat down in awe
with curiosity. She was telling me a story that I would never forget. It would
be a story that anyone with commonsense could not ignore. She was redefining
the (h)istoría (ἱστορία) that will always be alive within my heart.

So, this story that
she told me. This story, that she told, brought a glimpse of tears that slowly
flowed amongst her cheeks, and agony that crumbled the pride within her heart,
and a regret she would always feel. She might have been little child when all
of that happened… but it was a vivid truth within her life.

This story that Oma
(grandmother) told me was a story that has been forgotten by to many. Yet, I
have not forgotten it, and I never will. The only one that is forgetting it is
you. You forget a story that has redefined the lives of cultures, societies,
and history. It is a story that the ignorant, complacent, dogmatic, irrational,
and ungodly are forgetting. They dismiss this story because they only seek to
dismiss the reality of a truth. The story that I was told about became
something more than a tail of history. This death, this murder, this torment of
11 million people is something that should never be forgotten.

It is time to have
an intolerance for the one’s that ignore truth, the one’s that are complacent
in their recliners, the dogmatism of the first Vatican, the irrationality in
our schools of education, the ungodly Islamic radicals, and so many more…

I would not doubt
to think that you live in one of those narrow-minded complacencies. Instead of
being complacent to complacency… maybe it’s time to do something, or to just
simply know about something.

This is the only
thing that is happening. Memorials are being destroyed in Europe,
teachers (there is one right here at the Lincoln IL Elementary School) are no
longer teaching the truth of history, etc…

Historically,
currently and forever… the story of truth will always be true. The trueness
from my German grandmother and the truth within the texts will never change!

The painting is
always a painting

The story is always
a story

…but history lives
within reality of our lives.

The tail of the
Holocaust should pass away.

'Get it all on record now - get the
films - get the witnesses - because
somewhere down the track of history some bastard will get up and say that this
never happened'

            - Dwight David Eisenhower (WWII US General)

It is a song that we need to sing today. Not because of the community that is around us, but because of our own hardened hearts. We are forgetting to love our Lord with the society and nature that is around us. We never try to glorify our LORD (YHWH) in humbleness and lowliness. Instead, we exalt ourselves and by accusing others within our own loftiness.

We accuse to justify ourselves. While we smile at our accusations and pat ourselves on our backs, it is our loving Lord that weeps in tears. He is not weeping because of the homosexuals, adulterers, or scandalous harlots. He is crying because He sees his Church living within pride and arrogance. It is the Church that we should call ‘Gomer.’

The Church, no longer, accuses itself as being the whore, but it accuses everyone else as being so. Yes, it has dismissed the Word of God. The Church has forgotten all of the logical, empirical, faithful, and transcendental truths. Yes, it is only living for itself.

Look at the arrogance of your accusations. Why is it that we are forgetting to examine ourselves? It is the Church that is killing God, and I believe that Nietzsche was accurate in his writings. The mass of the American population is not Christian. We have to remember that there is something called ‘nominal.’ These nominal Christians create the mass of our population. Too many Americans are a part of Christendom and that is what we need to destroy. That is what we need to be radical against!

Instead of unifying within the nominal (Christian Right, Westernized Christianity), we need to separate ourselves from them. Not a separation of hate, but a separation of our own expressive love. We can only glorify God and exalt His name within His attribute of attributes… love! That is something that “Focus on the Family” seems to neglect. “Focus of the Family” (from Westernized Christianity) loves only within the measure of phileo. Why do you neglect the indefinite and immeasurable agape? Agape is a love that dismisses accusations, and it is only by that love that God has and is redeeming us.

2. Reality

Why is the Church leaving earth?

We can learn something good from the Green Party. It is the Neo-Orthodox Church that respects them and I would have to agree. Yes! I am a follow of Christ and I relate myself with the Green Party! Why?

I am dismissing certain aspects of influences from St. Augustine, St. Ambrose, St. Victorious, and etc. The ‘Christianity’ that is living in the US is not Christian! Yes, these people are Neoplatonic-Christians (aka: Westernized Christians). They are living within the influences of dualism. The spiritual world is separated from the bodies that we live in. Christians, with Gnostic influence, are the ones that are dismissing the importance of Environmentalism. This earth will be renewed and before the fall we were called to care for it. Why do you accuse the Green Party? Why is it that these people of Panentheism (from Hegelianism, Spinoza, Pantheism, etc.) care more about this world than we do? If we claim that there is a God, why is it that we do not care for what He has called us to do?

So where is “Focus of the Family?” Not on earth, not within reality! To me it looks like you do not know what the 21st century is. The Christianity that I have seen in the “Focus of the Family” is the Christianity of dogmatism, Gnosticism, Neoplatonism, Existentialism, the Christian Right, etc. Where is the true Radical Church that is radical within itself (the bride) and the Divinity (the groom)? Where is the radicalism of the agape love, servitude and duty? To me it looks like you sit in complacency. Yet, instead of reviewing your own complacency, you sit back and accuse…

Note: You arguments are not logically, empirically, faithfully, or transcendentally based. (Trinity Broadcasting Network: For some reason they seem to forget that they're speaking for the 'Trinity.')

I bet i can find 1,000,000 Christians

response: What Utopian world are you living in??? I sure as hell would never find that many in the United States.

I Daily Carry My Cross

response: Mine is too heavy to carry...

ABORTION SUCKS!

response: Wow, too bad that did not changed my life... blah blah... just another (as usual) unintellectual apologetic for the Christian Faith!

Mike Huckabee for President 2008!

response: If you're a Westernized Christian, I can see why you would say that... but please... oh please... just try to be a Christian, a Christian with some reason! Just as Westernized Christian President Bush has been destroying Christianity, so would Huckabee..

I thought I would stop with 10 for two reasons. There are too many more to find, I'm too lazy... and all of this seems to be irrelevant with good thinking. Second, I thought I would stop with 10 so the average Christian could unconcisely conclude this entry with a smile on their face...

Radical or Traditional

We think that we know…

We are pretty sure that we know…

We can affirm that we know a relative truth!

This is the truth, ‘Goodbye to traditions!’ Is that enough? NO!
But to act upon that is what we have been called to do. We must set ourselves
apart from the traditions of the ol’ folks and we must separate ourselves from
the decaying truth of suburban tradition. It’s time to live in something
greater than the suburban Christendom. We remove ourselves from the Christian
Right, and we dismiss the fairy tails that circles around us. It is time for us
to learn something from the “unreligious.”

Is that a fright for you?

We hope not. If it is something that fears you, it is
because you call them unreligious. Maybe we should reword what was written, “It
is time for to learn something from the people that you call unreligious!”
Everyone is religious and we need to step out of our bubble.

We live in the Christendom bubble of accusation. You sit
back in complacency and bicker! That’s all that you ever seem to do. You gossip
about the whore in the town… and you forget that that is what you are to
Christ. You bicker about cuss words that kids say… and in reality it is
irrelevant (and you haven’t read the bible, aka KJV)! You complain about a
person wearing a hat in the church… oops, where the hell is that text from?

There is more to bicker about that than the little things.
Maybe… yes maybe, the reason that you biker about the little things is because
you are too afraid of the big things. I must admit… Today some students thought
of Relativity, Quantum Paradox, and Deconstruction. All which makes us question
the relevance of where the Christian faith comes from. So where is your answer?
Help us!!! Oh, what is your wise word Professor/parent/ol’ folk/weekly
Christian/etc…?

Your answer is, “Children, please remove your hats!”

Is that all you know? We dismiss your tradition… No, we do
not exactly dismiss the tradition of the hat but your tradition confined by
Christendom. As for us… it is time to be radical. Do we know where we are
going? No, but at least we are going somewhere! We are going somewhere further
than the argument of a hat.

It's early and I'm wide awake! Crap, I woke up at three and I have been lying
in bed for quite a while. While I was laying there I was thinking... yes, the
usual of Travis. I thought of so many different things, but I believe that I will
only share one. You know, instead of writing an essay with too many irrelevant
details…

Proposition: The living of life should be simple, but not
the life itself.

Wann ist Einfachheit
gut?

I’m glad that you asked! Einfachheit (simplicity) is gut
(good) for many reasons. That is, good on the bases of rationality. We need to
simplify our rationality and the objective life that lives around us. Maybe
that is why God said, “Blessed are the poor and meek for they shall inherit the
Kingdom of God.”
A good simplicity is when we can dismiss the authority of
materialism.

Pslam 19.7

The law of the LORD is
perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the LORD is sure,
making wise the simple;

Wann ist Einfachheit
schlecht?

I think that I like this question even better! Einfachheit
is schlecht (bad) for just as many reasons as it is good. It seems as if we can
never ‘sit in the middle of things.’ We always have to take one extreme or the
other. We have the mentality of either this or either that. We always overlook
the paradoxical unity of either/or!

Simplicity is bad when we begin to live lives
individualistically and for ourselves alone. This would be the second half of
the proposition… There is too much simplicity in our world that relates with a
self satisfying individualism. We begin to set ourselves apart from everyone
and we ignore the reality around us. It becomes to be a self destructing life
of complacency. Das ist warum es ist schlecht. ja!

Proverbs 1.20-22

Wisdom calls aloud outside;
She raises her voice in the open squares.
She cries out in the chief concourses,[a]
At the openings of the gates in the city
She speaks her words:
“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their
scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.

The living of life should be simple, but not the life that
you must express. Live your life with loving the smallest things around you.
The beauty of simplicity acknowledges our frieden auf Erden (freedom of
earth/ground peace), and by cherished complexity the frieden auf Erden ist
unter Menschen (freedom of earth is under mankind).

It is time to sit back and enjoy nature… yet at the same
time… it is time to stand up, step forward, and care for the people around
us.

To be or not to be, that is the question?

That is an easy question for me to answer! I know what I
want to be and I know what I do not want to be called. The term ‘Christian’ has annoyed me the most,
and yes, I am going back to Derrida! It’s time to deconstruct the term.

Being called a Christian has only made me ask what I really
am. ‘I am?’ Yes, what I am? I have
probably lost most of my faithfulness in LCCS.
I hear no firm grounds of apologetics! All I hear are old Scholastic
comments from people like Anselm or Peter.
Such as,

If
God is truthful then God does not lie

All
     is God-breathed

Therefore
     Scripture is truthful

Well… if we want to use deductive logic, then why not say
this?

If
the teacher love Jesus, then Travis will get an A

The
     teacher loves Jesus

Therefore
     Travis gets an A!

But wait… Why did I not get an A in that class? Does the
teacher not love Jesus? No, I think that he does. Yes, he is an actual humble
and lowly Christian. All of these deductive and categorical arguments cannot
assure something as an absolute truth. Not
only is there a problem there, but just look at the disagreements between so
many papyri, uncials, and miniscules.
The Alexandrian text-type is %15 different than the Textus Receptus.

Do the average ‘Christians’ care about this?

No, and it annoys me.
It annoys me so much that I am not a ‘Christian.’ At the moment I cannot
make apologetics for myself… not for what I assume to believe, and not for the
people that call themselves Christians.
I say that because of… yes, so many things, too many things. Not just because there are too many
contradictions in theological matters at school but even everyday lives that
are lived in LCCS. It annoys me to see
how friends and children from the faculty get a higher status… yep, the one’s
leading/helping chapel, focus, etc…

Here is just a couple (from many) examples: I say that
because of the ‘relative’ from the President. Did that person get in big trouble?
NO! I say that because of a certain professor’s son. Can he break the University’s covenant? YES!
What about his son’s friends? HELL YES! So why is there a covenant? DUH, it’s
not for the higher social class (befriending the faculty), it’s for you and me!

So that’s what makes me sick about the term of ‘Christian.’
Even some of the best leading people are contradicting (turning around)
Christianity. So here I am being turned around everywhere. I’m being turned
around from what I wanted to be assured about. There is only the dismissal of
today’s apologetics and today’s actions.

So where are you? Wait, do you care? To be or not to be,
that is the question?

Feel free deconstruct! Ah, how it feels so good sometimes!

Does our existence precede essence?

When I look into the United States today I can see a Dasein, a Dasein that has corrupted our common foundations of rationality. We can see it in the ignorance of the Westernized Christianity, and even more, from the emerging Neo-Orthodoxy. It is because of people like Karl Barth and John Caputo, that our society wishes to find truth in emotions. Oh, yes, our world lives in self-interpretation, as if our thoughts were born as blank slates (tabula rasa, John Lock). Instead, I believe that we need to step away from our presumed assumptions of living in an autonomous free-will.

We have placed too much of our hope in a subjective matter. With doing so, we have brought decay to our own rationality. It is as if we are only living in our id, and we are dismissing all conscience. How is it that we could possibly progress into anything?

First we need to dismiss the ideas defining substance for ourselves. Substance is something that exists by itself and it is the essential part of a thing, our lives. Substance must precede our own assumptions and emotional pleasures. It is with pre-acknowledging substance, that we can begin to steer truth within our minds. With doing so we will no longer define our lives with emotions. Instead, we will be open to dismiss an untruth and emerge into a reality.

Secondly we have to recognize that we are not the definers of the world. Instead of being "open to oneself," we have to be open to the world around us.

Thirdly we need to dismiss the delusion of emotions. To step apart from our 'sola' subjective thinking, and a self relative truth. The prime of trust is what is actual, and what is actual is objectively present. Too often we place hope and truth in our own emotions and presuppositions. Ex: The highschool girld says, "I love Jesus, and Jesus loves me." How is it that someone can assume that another loves them? Does one have to love you because you love the other? Why is there only a focus on eros (emotional love), and the misconception of what agape (love, the duty) is? Because of the subjective thinking, people emotionally assure themselves and emotionally dismiss the elements of rationality.

I believe that the average... no, more than average... the far more than common Christian... even Christian's in Christian Universities, cannot build apologetics for what they believe. Everything that they trust in is only an emotional misconception. The average person does not want to question life, and the reality around it. Too many people are living in their own slavery and ignorance. Sorry, but man cannot define himself... that is, if he wishes to find truth. Yet, then again... our world does live in ignorance. So maybe no one cares... go on and live in your dream!

Circumfession!

It is time to surpass the things that ‘we want’ to imagine,
the thing that ‘we want’ to assume… To dismiss the things that we want to
assume as true! We can no longer imagine a truth that we want to see. We have to
deconstruct what we want and reexamine the things that we have ignored. Maybe
then we can learn something.

Look at how St.
Paul had once written the same thing… I write nothing
original! There is nothing new under the sun… St. Paul was ready to deconstruct and that is
what he did! He redefined the things around him and he replaced tradition with
truth, a confessional truth.

The shift of understanding: Circumcision to Circumfession!

I think that we can learn something from Derrida. There was once the law for the circumcision of
the flesh. Yet, it was St. Paul
that redefined it! Paul is the one who had reformulated our own formulations. There
is no longer a true purpose for the circumcision of the flesh… but everyday we circumcise
our hearts! We Circumfess (Rm 2.25-29)!

Our circumfession is an incision within, and it leads us around
the sphere of truth. We cannot quite reach the center, but there is a tugging
at our hearts. We test it everyday. We test to see if truth is tugging at our
hearts. We step forward with a willingness to know what is and what is not. It
is only by our circumcised heart that we can humbly confess that we search…
that we search for something true.

What is your circumfession?

Road of Integrity...

Integrity... To my surprise I have found no other road to integrity than the road of the Christian faith. The premises of morality can only be found in fundamentals of an inerrant truth; an absolute truth. I step apart from philosophers like Spinoza and I look forward to a bases of morality. Rationally I cannot submit to the ideas of 'not so good' and 'good.' I understand truth as revealing an ultimate 'evil' vs 'good.' Unlike Derrida, Hegel, or Marx, I do not believe that morals can be defined by a thesis and antithesis becoming a synthesis.

'Mere Christianity'

The road to integrity
    1. Between man and man
    2. Inside each man
    3. Between man and the Power that made him

Proposition #1

Between man and man there is an 'evil' and 'good.' This integrity is not based around emotions but the sensibility of acknowledgment. One man cares for another man as he wishes to be cared for himself. 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' If a man lives in integrity he does not pridefully diminish the loving elements of another man.

Men of integrity do not humiliate other people. They care for the principles of everyone around them.

Proposition #2

Inside each man there is conflict. It all depends on how we combat it. 'The more you delight in yourself and the less you delight in the praise, the worse you are becoming.' A man of integrity does not live in pride but cares (first and foremost) for the Divine One and the neighbors around him. He lives in humility and cannot even comprehend that he is humble. 'If you think you are humble and not conceited, it means you are very conceited indeed!'

Men of integrity do not take pride of their (self-assumed) integrity.

Proposition #3

Too often men, by self indulgence, deny the sovereignty of a divine God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). The God of the Christian faith is not a puppet. His omniscience and omnipotence cannot be redefined by man's finite being. Integrity can only become a reality when there is a submission to God's sovereignty. The submission to God precedes the road to truth. It precedes the road to integrity.

Men are finite, but for the road to integrity a man submits to the infinite Power.

Appendix

While the road of integrity can only be comprehended by first applying it to our neighbor, it is in reality a road that begins with the submission to God's sovereignty. It is a paradoxical presupposition of faith and it is not until then that is can be formulated within our own rationality.
