| Big ChangesSo it's been a long time since I posted, and I don't even know who still uses/reads Xanga posts, but here's a brief update on life:
The really big news is that beginning in June, Ben and I will be full time missionaries at a camp down here in FL--the same one where we've lived the last two summers and where Ben has worked for 12 summers. We're in the process of raising support and getting things ready to move. Our condo is for sale (anyone want a Florida condo?), but no real bites yet. The market just isn't great right now, so I'll have to continue working until the condo sells. Ben and I are really excited to see how God is leading us out to camp and we can't wait to get out there.
I love Florida during the springtime, and the pace of life has slowed down enough for me to enjoy it. I've been able to spend some time at the beach and at a Tigers spring training baseball game. Ben and I would really love to make it down to Ft. Myers to a Red Sox spring game, but our spring break is later this year and the regular season will have already started. I really am looking forward to spring break though. We're going to spend some time working on our house out at camp, and it's also our anniversary and Ben's birthday week. We'll try to do something special to celebrate both.
That's really all I have to say for right now. Things are just going on as usual.

| The Good, The Bad, and the UglyThe Good: The Red Sox won three in a row to win the American League Championship Series and now they're going to the World Series. I think Pedroia should have been MVP, but Beckett is good too.
The Bad: Ohio State is #1 in the BCS and AP rankings. I hate Ohio State.
The Ugly: Notre Dame football. I still love them and I will forever be a Fighting Irish fan, but this season is just terrible. I mean, seriously terrible. I knew October was going to be a rough month, but I'm hoping that November gets better. We have the Academies and Duke. Hopefully we'll win those three games. I especially want to see them beat Duke since I'm flying up to Indiana for that game. Every team has bad years now and then, and this is Notre Dame's bad year. I just wish it weren't quite SO bad.

| Something Random for a ThursdayHere are a couple of completely random comments for today. I know it's been a while since I've updated and so many things are going on, but here's what I'm thinking about right now.
First of all, if you live in Florida, you understand what I'm talking about when I say that little creatures tend to find their way into your house or car or office or wherever. On Tuesday (my 26th birthday, by the way), I walked into my office and was greeted by a HUGE wolf spider above my door. If you aren't familiar with this evil spider, they're big (mine was about 4" in diameter), they're brown, they're fuzzy, they're mean and they jump at people. And they're fast. Fortunately, a student (and football player) walked in behind me. Of course I'm thinking, "Whew...this big strong Southern boy can kill the spider so I don't have to." I gave him my shoe, he swatted and he missed. My spider runs off. So from 8 AM to about 2:30 PM, I was afraid to walk in my office for fear that I would get attacked. Finally around 2:30 PM, the spider became closely acquainted with my shoe.
Today, I walked into my office and was greeted by an adorable little gecko. Geckos are little and fast and their whole body wiggles when they run. Significantly cuter and less dangerous than the wolf spider, but still not really welcome in my office. And I can't smash it with a shoe because that would just be mean. So I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of it. Normally I would call Ben and have one of his little boy students come catch it. They seem to like chasing lizards around a teacher's office. Today's problem is that it's on my wall right up by the ceiling and out of reach. I think I'm just going to try to ignore it and hope that it's not going to run up my leg when I'm not paying attention.
So yeah...that's about it for now. Random, I know.

| ok, so it's been a while...It's been quite a while since I've updated, but lots of stuff has been happening. Here's a really brief recap of what's been going on in my life.
The most recent news is that I just returned home from a 10-day missions trip to Hungary. Ben and I got home on Friday night and I am back at work on this beautiful Monday morning. Yes, I'm still jetlagged. Yes, I have a TON of stuff to catch up on. I've been working on the laundry, but it's not even close to being done yet.
The trip was amazing, and I have lots of photos. I'll post some pics with a more detailed explanation of the trip, but it was great. We worked at the Word of Life camp in Hungary and I taught an advanced English class of 6-7 students. Of my 7 kids (ranging in ages from 12-17), I know that four made salvation decisions during our week there. God did awesome things through and in our group. Ben and I were two of the chaperones on the trip, and there were a total of 21 of us in the group. We spent the first few days touring Budapest (a beautiful city!) and the rest of the week at the camp. More to come on that.
This is also the last week that Ben and I will be serving out at Camp Gilead, so we'll be moving back home this weekend. It's been a great summer there and definitely not our last. Ben will start football practice right away next Monday (he's the school's athletic trainer) and then school starts August 20. The summer really did fly by!
Over the July 4th week, I was able to go home to Indiana to see family. It was a quick trip, but so much fun. I got to see lots of family and old friends. I'll post a couple of pictures from that week too.
Well, I have so much more that I could write, but I just got to work and have lots to catch up on here. I'll post pictures soon...hopefully by Wednesday or Thursday.

| New pictures of GusGus is just over 5 weeks old, so only a couple more weeks until we can bring him home. The breeder sent me more pictures, and I'm pretty sure he's the most adorable puppy ever.
In this photo, Gus is on the right. His little brother (Chiquito) is on the left. As you can tell, we're getting the fatty. :)
Isn't he cute?
