ONE WORD FOR YOU ALL...SMOKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!  I think this just about topped all my weddings of all time so far.  All images are for and copy righted for Scott Robert Photography.  I was able to shoot another wedding with the amazing Scott Robert.  Amazing is right...just look at so many of these shots.  I loved way too many of them and so I posted all of them that I processed haha. Just when you thought your wedding was amazing think again hahaha.  Just Kidding...but this wedding was all fun from the moment we arrived.  James and Grace thanks so much for being so awesome to work with.  You two are very special people I can see though all the people who gathered at your wedding day.  This wedding was by far was so unique from most or all wedding I have been to.  Grace is a school teacher and she invited all her little kids to a childrens reception following her wedding so that they could all see her.  So cute.  How many people do you know have done that?  I doubt you know of anyone.  Needless to say there were a loooot of people at this wedding.  Both James and Grace are talented dancers and they sure made that known on their wedding day with their dance team.  Dancing runs in their family blood I tell you.  The brides father was a great dancer too and might I add a pretty decent singer.  We had a spectacular time but boy was it hot.  I practically melted the whole day.  =)  Man I love bay area weddings haha.  Ok thanks for tuning in.  Stay tuned for images from other weddings so far this year.  =)  I hope you all enjoy this set as much as I did.

    Cheers,
    Steve

I like this one a lot!

Couldn't resist a cute photo haha

The chicken suit is a must! =)

    3rd times a charm...good job David!  =)

Well we were off at it again.  About a month or so ago I did an engagement session for David & Maxine but didn't have a chance to finish the shoot because they had to be at a wedding the day we scheduled their engagement shoot.  Anyways, we picked up right where we left off in good Ole' Town Sacramento.  Probably one of my favorite locations to photograph in the Sacramento area.  I love the down town area there and there are certainly endless places to shoot if you look hard enough!  =)  Anyways, I know David and Maxine have been anxiously awaiting for these photos so here you go you love birds!  =)  We had such a great time and they were so kind to treat me to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack.  Gotta love crab nachos and fish and chips.  Thanks you guys.  I really enjoyed this shoot a lot and it was very different in style from the first part of the shoot we did a while back.  The only draw back was probably the heat but never the less I never let weather stand in the way of a great photo opportunity!

I got a bunch of images to show you all from a wedding I did with Scott Robert, a wedding from this past weekend and a shoot I was on with Christina!  =)  Thanks everyone for tunning into my blog and for all your care and support on my journey as a photographer! Blessing upon you all and may the Lord bless you and keep you.  O...and stay cool this week if you're from sunny California....it's going to be a scorcher this week.

    Thanks for reading.

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Photo Rummaging

Hey everyone, I have tons of photos I am working right now so I don't have anything new just yet to post up.  I was rummaging through my photos from Paris 2007 and just really remenising the time I was there with some of the most wonderful people I have the priveledge of knowing.  I really miss this place and if anyone of you have a chance to go to Paris, its a absolute must see for anyone.  A great opportunity for photographers would be to attend Scott Robert's Workshop in Paris this month.  I know a few people who are going to that and I can't tell you how much fun you will have.  It's impossible not to have fun...I mean come on...its freakin PARIS! =)  These are my favorite models for three reasons...(1) They are awesome and fun to be around, (2) They have more stamina for any other models I've been around (shooting alllll day with them and no complaints) and (3) did I mention they are hawt? haha   Luckily I got to see Sherry in NYC this year woohoo! =)

On another positive note, I don't have to be in the office today woohoo and tomorrow I have a wedding.  Woot woot!  I hope you all have a sweet action and safe 4th of July. Aites...I'm signing out I have family and friends I need to be joining around the pool and BBQ!  Peace out!

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Battle of the Bay

What's the difference between these two images?

Last Friday I had a chance to go to the Giants vs. A's game.  A's go on to rock the Giants 5 to 1.  Go A's.  Giants scored on a ER stealing home plate.  Anyways, one of the few things I enjoy in life is a good fashion ball game.  It's been literally years since I have seen a baseball game and it brings me back to the days I played baseball in high school.  I really miss the sport.  Closet thing I can get my self connected to a bat, glove and ball is adult softball leagues.  Those are hecka fun.  Anyways, the best thing about AT&T park are their garlic fries haha.  Throw in some chicken stripes and a ice cold Budweiser and your good to go.  If you notice the difference between these two photos just PM me the answer haha.  It's pretty obvious but you could over look it.  1st photo taken during the 2nd inning.  Last photo taken in the bottom of the 9th.  =)

There is simply nothing like doing photography at the Big Apple.  That's exactly what we all did.  Funky, fresh, fun, inspiring all with twists of exciting randomness! =)  Last week I was in NYC for Scott Robert's photography workshop and boy did we have a ton of fun.  I think we pretty much photographed most of our days from late morning till pretty much midnight and beyond.  Tired, exhausted would occasionally remind us in our physical state but when you put a bunch of inspirational photographers together under the wing of Scott Robert...tiredness doesn't stand a chance.  If you are new to photography or a serious about taking your career to the NEXT LEVEL to create rave about your work attend one of this workshops this year if not next year.  You will learn so much you might not even be able to take it all in at once. =)  You will learn fundamentals that will enrich your skill set as a photographer.  What could be better than traveling to great places, taking pictures and having one hell of a time all at the same time?  If you thought too long then you owe it to yourself to check out one of Scott's workshops and see for yourself.

Without further ado here are crap load of photos I wanted to share from the workshop!  =)  Inspiration, creativity is contagious people...when you lash on to it go with it.  Sometimes if not most of the time it doesn't make sense but sometimes the results can blow you away =)  I only have a handful of photos from so many locations but wait till you see the rest of the folks photos too =).  I'll be back to NYC soon again folks!

Anyways, hope you're all have a fabulous weekend.  My sister is graduating from college tomorrow so I am so excited and proud of her!  She's going to become an amazing fashion designer one day and shes going to hire me to do all the fashion shoots ;)  We're going to take over the world muahahhaah.  In the mean time, well enjoy this moment and make sure you get yo daddy a nice father's day card and tell him how much you appreciate and love him.  =)  Chao!

    Thanks for tunning in.

    Cheers,
    Stephen

    Serena | Photo Shoot

Hey folks...I sure am pumpin em out this week.  Without further ado...here is Serena!  Isn't she absolutely gorgeous?  This was a awesome shoot and we were definitely chasing the light once we figured out what outfit she wanted to wear =)  Thanks so much for sticking it out on that windy windy day!  =)  You rock Serena!  Dawin & David thanks for tagging along on the shoot, hope you gentlemen had fun too!  =)  I'm working on some pics from NYC so stay tuned for those as well.

    Misc. Blurps:

So recently I bought a Tokina 100mm F/2.8 for some macro fun only to find it doesn't have AF.  You'd figure I'd know that before I bought it but in this case, nope.  Well anyways, I'm returning it for another lens =)

Today gas for $4.78/gal for me.  I have to fill up premium.  Where is our economy going?  I think a lot of Americans need to get our heads out of our bottoms and start being a part of the solution rather than the problem.  Gas and fossil fuel is ancient.  Lets face it, its dinosaur fuel and we've been depended on it since the industrial revolution.  Technological progress in over 200 years and still on gasoline and oil...not very impressive technological growth you'd say?  We need to start looking at alternative fuel sources to supply energy as we are doing now because out well being economically is at stake.  Oil is the the heart of this nations economic power.  It fuels everything from out homes, transportation, industries, factories you name it.  It's really simple when you look at it.  It's simply the law of supply and demand.  Supply is cut back while demand (being us) need it.  Same thing goes for the whole uproar in spiked prices for rice.  Supply is cut off on exporting rice thus prices go up while demand remains the same if not more.  The government spends billions on research and development for alternative fuel sources while a joe shomoe figures it out in the garage.  It'll happen folks haha, it has in the past.  So I guess my question is what will it take American's to really alter their life styles?  When gas is $7 a gallon?  For me honestly, right now buying a more fuel efficient car isn't a wise economic choice because I wont really be saving much in the long run.  Yes gas is reasonably higher but how high does it have to go before we and the automotive industry start moving forward.  The balls in their court and honestly I doubt and don't think its necessary for the government to step into the oil industry to regulate fuel cost.  Shoot if I had the solution I'd shove oil right up Iraq's caboose and say adios to oil and gasoline baby!  I have no problems with that.  Since I don't have the solution that's not going to happen but I'd like to be a part of it.  Maybe you have the answers were all looking for.  For once we are feeling the pinch the rest of the world has felt on fuel cost.  We bite our tongue today on the matter but in the next year or so you might not have a tongue anymore the way oil prices are going haha.

I went to buy groceries the other day and noticed after paying for groceries, going home preparing dinner, eating and then cleaning up.  Cooking is still not cost efficient for me in terms of money and time.  Since time is something I simply don't have enough of I find my willingness to pay for prepared food more likely than having to spend the same amount of money if not more and then taking the time to prepare the meal and clean up after it.  I got home from work the other day at 5:45pm and finished cooking, eating and cleaning by 8:30.  Now if I was cooking guest or other people then cooking might be the cheaper route! =)  The great part is summer is here now and I love to BBQ.  Who wants to do BBQs?  Count me in!  =)  Hope you are all having a great week.

    Thanks for reading.

    Cheers,
    Steve
