WOW! You know what's incredible? I haven't been on this stupid thing since a year ago today! Isn't that crazy? But, who really readys these things anymore anyway? So, to all the people still reading xangas --- happy new year! Since January 18, 2007, things have been differnt -- duh, right? Now, I am a college student and am attending Sinclair Community College for dental hygiene. That's right... I'm going to school to learn how to clean teeth -- I have to say though, I'm pretty stoked about it! So, if you still read these things, give me a shout out and let me know how your new year has been so far and what's changed from last year til now.

Surprise Visitors

On Monday, which was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I had three very special guests/visitors at work. I was very glad and happy and.... surprised to see them. Their little boy has grown up so fast... man do I wish seeing them every Sunday!!! I love you guys... and you'd BETTER come visit me more often

The last time I wrote on here, I was asking for prayer for a job. Well... prayer works huh? I am now employed at the Family Christian Stores in Dayton across the street from Toys R Us. And let me tell you what, it is by far the best job one can have.. not only do I get discounts, but, the enviroment is incredible... (considering it's a CHRISTIAN store) But anyways, everyone is really nice and understanding... and surprisingly enough, even the customers are understanding that I'm "in training". That's my name, has been for a couple of weeks. On my name badge it says, "in training". I've actually had a customer call me that.. but that's ok, it kind of brightened my day up a little. Thanks to all who prayed for me... and Happy Thanksgiving if I'm not on here again when it gets closer to turkey day.

New Success

Many of you know.. that I have been jobless.... but, I have two interviews (for the same place). I think that they both went well. Actually, I know that they both went well because on Monday I got a call from the place, and I ended up getting the job! I'm working at the Family Christian Store across the street from Toys R Us. I won't be starting until either next week or the week following. So, please be praying for me as I start this new job! Also, my sister Terri is due... next month. She is having a little girl. Her name is Cheyanne King! I'm getting really excited for this baby! Please, also be praying for her and her husband Eric. Thanks guys! Love to all, and God bless!

Yesterday was my first day of school.. and let me tell you what.. if that wasn't the worst day of my life.. then I don't know what is.... it was absolutely terrible... everything went wrong.. and ... I'm dreading government really bad..... it's gonna be hard.... but there was one good thing that happend.... we have class officers... and I was voted PRESIDENT! Woohoo! So, I am president of the Senior class! It's gonna be a big responsibility.. but I'm up for it! And, if you could pray for me... and for my family.. that would be greatly appreciated. I'm kind of looking for a job.. kind of not... having a little extra money would be nice... Till next time,

Wow it's been a long time since I've been on here! Oh well! Myspace has taken over my life.... School is starting on Monday and I'm really really really excited about it! Also... this weekend, we're having what's called a "Discipleship Now Conference" at my church for our youth group... I am really really looking forward to it! Then on Sunday, we are having a youth led service on Sunday night... I'm looking forward to that as well. So, we have this new Youth Intern right now.. we're voting.. Sunday night? I think.. to vote him in to be our "full-time" Youth Minister... and let me tell you.. he's amazing! He's incredibly godly, encouraging, and caring! He's not too much older than I am... which is kind of a good thing.. so that he can relate to us better.. and the things that we're going through as teenagers... he's been through not to long ago! I'm really excited to see what God has instore for our Youth Group and for Matt... our Youth Minister! God bless you all! And, I hope you enjoy these last couple of days of Summer!

So, I foud my glow in the dark socks on Friday! I was really excited! Happy Resurrection Day! Today, one of the things that Pastor Steve said is that Buddha... and Muhammad.... and all of the other "gods" are dead and are still in the tomb... but the amazing thing is... is that our Lord, our Saviour Jesus Christ was in the tomb but... no more my friend! Up from the grave He arose! That is absolutely amazing! I serve a risen Saviour! Yes, Jen you were right... I do have a date for prom... it's a blind date..... but, he saw a picture of me (I will get to see a pic of him on Tues) and said that I was beautiful.. so, mayeb it'll work out YEC was good..... The speaker was funnier than the comedian was. The speaker just happened to be the dean of Liberty University (where I want to go to college) He was SOOOO hilarious!!! Big Daddy Weave was so cool! I actually knew their songs! The guitarist named Jeremy was EXTREMELY cute! He looked like Nick Lachey! (no joke!) Tree 63 was good as well.... of course, I was shopping when they were singing, but you know! They drove all the way from Buffalo because their plane was canceled.... they live in South America! That was so sweet of them to do that for us! That shows how dedicated they are! Ok, now time for the JOD.

So... YEC is coming up this weekend! Totally excited about that! I was going to wear my glow in the dark "Jesus is Light" t-shirt and my glow in the dark socks. Except one thing: I lost my glow in the dark socks I'm so sad..... I can't believe it.... i lost my only pair of glow in the dark socks! I didn't even get to wear them once! Not once!!! Not only was I having a bad sock day... but my girlfriend Abeer and I had plans today to go prom shopping... and it turns out that a guy that I work with called off. He called off because, "he was working on his car and hurt his eye." How do you work on a car and hurt your eye?! This guy calls off at least once everyother week. He tends to get "sick" alot! Anywho back to prom...... prom is next weekend on the 22nd.... (CTC's prom) and I have a ...... guess guess.... what do I have? I shall post what I have and some more details about prom in another post.

As for the J.O.D = I don't have my book with me right now.... so next post.... I owe twice the amount of jokes!

Woohoo! I was Jason's xanga of the day! *Woot* Thanks J!!! I went to work today.... and it was bad.... my boss Steve pulled me aside to have a conversation regarding my 6th month evaluation thingie that he did. Anyways, to make this short, let's just say that I have had better reviews. So.. to get to the point.... basically he says that I'm not good enough... not trying hard enough for this job.... kind of bullcrap though.... how can you lose 30 pounds and not be trying hard enough?? Hum........ anyways...... so I'm not trying hard enough for this job... this is what he said to me... the other coordinators and I have dicussed your options.... we thought of one... to switch over to Kettering hospital and work over there with people your own age. Huh.... work somewhere that is 45 minutes away and be late to work everyday?? I don't think so.... of course that's not what I said to him but anyways.... he said, "welp, you better start looking in the wanted ads." So, basically, if I don't "straighten up" and "work harder" then I will be fired.... I don't want to be fired... it's an amazing job for a 17 year old..... How do I know what to listen for and how to know what God is telling me to do? It's so ocnfusing...... I don't understand.... I need words of wisdom.... and encouragement... and definately prayers that I don't lose my wonderful job! Well, that's enough gloom and venting for one day.. now for the best part of my xangas:
