| Still Alive...Hello Friends, Well I am almost half way through this semester and I haven't updated since Christmas...hmmm...let me see if I can give a rundown of what I have been up to the past month and a half.
I have been doing clinicals in the psychiatric ward so that has had its own set of interesting challenges...i won't lie I'm not a fan of psych nursing but the experience has been very valuable...it has taught me a lot about how to work with people very different from myself and how to learn to understand where people are coming from...this field is so different from anything else i have ever done cause we hardly did any technical skills...it was just all talking.
Also I have an interesting possible opportunity for the summer...it would involve me living in Ohio for between 8 or 10 weeks...there are several hospitals that have nursing externship programs where you work one on one with an RN as a student nurse full time. So pretty much super clinicals but the thing is...I would get paid 10.75 an hour. I am applying for all three and we will see what happens.
Nic and I are going on almost 6 months...kind of crazy! He is feeling much better...we finally got a hold of some antibiotics that killed the bacteria causing his ulcers so he is pretty much back to his normal upbeat self! We even ate Chipotle for our Valentine's date!
Spring break is only 11 days away!! Whoo hoo! However, I have much to much to get done before that point in time!
Kk back to work! ~Galloway~

| Christmas BreakWell I am in the middle of my Christmas break now...it has been pretty good so far I started the break off by going out to West Virginia to visit Nic and his family...it was a grand time...I enjoyed getting to know them better and getting to spend sometime relaxing with Nic and not having to worry about school stuff. Then I rode a train all the way from West Virginia to Wisconsin and it was forever long but I made it. I've spent my time at home with my family and done some reconnecting with a few friends...time with Dawn at the coffee shop and time with Dan and Leah here and there. I've also had a Psychology class that I have had to work on but it hasn't been too bad...it will be done soon! Christmas day was great except for that football game...I still can't believe we lost to the Eagles...gosh...well Feiler maybe we will still beat you in the playoffs...but I am not going to talk about that too much...pride cometh before the fall and all that! Nic is coming on the 1st, on the same train that i came in on, so my family has been going nuts trying to clean the house...i've kind of gotten to a point where I don't really care if its clean or not but oh well. My family is excited to actually meet him and it will be fun to have my siblings interact with him and get to know him as more than just that boyfriend of Sarah's. Kk time for me to head to bed! Good night all! | | |
| The semester is finally winding down...Today is our last Tuesday of regular classes...although for me it isn't a Tuesday of regular classes because normally I would go to clinical today but we are just meeting on campus so we aren't even doing much today. Yesterday I handed in my big case study project! So gald to have that done and out of the way. And after this evening all of my written homework for the semester will be done, so I can start studying for all the tests that I have the end of this week and my two finals.
...hmmm what interesting things have I been up to besides homework! Campus Christmas with the girls and Nic and Eathan Anna's suprise party was fun! Nic and I went and looked at Christmas lights in Springfield Feiler got me hooked on the show House ...that is about it...okay I need to start getting ready for the day
Have a great week everyone and try to stress too much...it all always gets done...somehow! ~Galloway~

| i havnt posted in a whileokay well sarah hasnt posted in a while, but this isnt sarah this is her boyfriend nic. she is sitting over there doing homework. she has a big exam tomorrow for maternity and she is gonna pass it hardcore. . . anyways. its been a good last couple of weeks since she posted last. it snowed one day and that is always fun. and she has been doing maternity clincals and stuff, she has had alot of cool experiences with that, so if u are into that sort of thing then u should ask her in person cause some of the stuff isnt good to put on a xanga site, just to protect the weak stomached people out there. also she is going back to wisconsin this weekend for the first time this semester, she is pretty excited about it. she is gonna get to see her family, and friends and stuff. so yeah. it will be a weekend full of starbucks and turkey. and that is intensly great. sad story though, in WV the closest starbucks is 45 minutes away. its worse than being here at cedarville. so if u drink coffee with sarah this weekend remember her boyfriend in WV that has no starbucks, if u get a peppermint mocha (the taste of christmas) then that would be really good. i kinda want one, but the campus coffee shop doesnt do them so well they are usually kind of weak. but thats is fine. anyways so yeah that is what is cool coming up in her life. and now for a random story from earlier this semester. . .
she loves coffee, if u know her, u know that, and well. . . this one time she got coffee from chucks and she went to drink it. well she had been drinking it and then she got toward the end of it. and well she continued to drink it which makes sense and then well she takes that fatal drink and all the sudden we here "baahlahahahahahahennehssah" and we are all like what and with a very grimaced face she just points at the coffee and is like blaahahal and then is like i need a drink. . . it was funny. . . anyways the moral of the story, dont drink chucks coffee ever. . .
have a grand thanksgiving, from both sarah and i!
