The Morning After

I am really sore today.  Yesterday was one of those days when I was really excited to go to the gym, really excited to get an intense workout, and then really excited to play soccer.  Today, I can't lift my arms, excellent.  My legs are sore too because I thought it would be a good idea to do some squats after soccer.  Today, I plan to lift weights again, but I'll leave my poor arms alone.

Burn Notice comes back tonight.  I have two more episodes left to watch from season one, so I'm waiting for Dan to finish running and give me a call.  Other than that, I'm not up to much.  Hopefully life will get more exciting in the next few weeks as I give blood, meet with my roommates to pick out paint colors, and my birthday trip comes up.

Food

I love cooking.  I like trying new recipes and cooking old favorites.  This morning I made pancakes and put crushed and diced strawberries on top.  It was good, not great but still satisfying.  Yesterday I did the grocery shopping for my family and bought some good ingredients which I will have to turn into delicious meals this week.  For instance, tonight I'm going to make some sort of a salmon bake (on a side note, Wow! salmon is expensive) and I bought a pork loin for later this week.

People underestimate the value of "simple" foods.  A plate of fruits and cheeses can be just as satisfying as a complicated alfredo sauce (which looks simple on your plate but can be VERY difficult to make).  Simple foods are often better, tastier, and satisfy longer yet  they are treated as just snacks or ingredients of a "real" meal.  As part of a rebellion I plan to eat a peanut butter banana sandwich for lunch today.  Very nice.

I'm also going running in Lebanon Hills today, as I planned to do yesterday except all of my sports bras were in the wash at the same time when I wanted to go.

Deleted

Yeah, I was really awkward in high school (and I make no claims that I am now less so).  So I made all my previous posts private so that I still have them, but no one else has access.  It's I like I get to burn all the embarrassing pictures of my childhood.

Anyways, blogging is awesome and myspace is for rapists so I think xanga should make a comeback.

Yes.  That is all, going running soon.
