1. I resolve to quit sucking (i.e., refrain from freak-outs).
FAILURE! I probably freaked out more this year than almost any other.
2. I resolve to manage my time better.
SUCCESS. Better. Not good, but better.
3. I resolve to GET A JOB.
SUCCESS!
4. I resolve to read more. A lot more. All the fucking time. I will carry books with me everywhere. Or at least a book.
SUCCESS. I did do some reading for pleasure this year. I read Running With Scissors and the Feminine Mystique. ...OK, I had more than two books in mind when I wrote this, but I was busy working my ass off and going through the hell that was Intro to Critical Reading & Writing.
5. I resolve to do something about my unused, dust-gathering desktop.
FAILURE. Today I dusted it off, but it's already 2007...maybe later I'll hook it up.
6. I resolve to eat less fast food.
FAILURE!!!
I'm really not good at this whole New Year's resolution thing.
1. I resolve to get back into playing music.
2. I resolve to read a LOT more. Like, at least one book per month.
3. I resolve to do a better job keeping track of my finances.
4. I resolve to seriously contemplate the (currently dormant) spiritual/religious aspect of my life.
5. I resolve to worry less and try to just be happy when there's nothing really wrong (this is by far the hardest one).
6. I resolve to fix my Norman residential situation by whatever means necessary.
7. I resolve to control the crazy drinking habits I plan to develop.
8. I resolve to be honest.
