Happy Birthday Me!

A little recap of what i did two weeks ago during labor day long weekend.  It was a great little vacation.  Aaron came up so we played tennis.  I believe it's the first time in... a year?  man, i need vacation again.
We ate a lot.  i felt like the amount of food i consumed that weekend was the same as the whole week i ate previously.  oh well.  We went to my favorite Pastis, and that was divine.  We also tried Todai, and had a feast there.  We went to the beach and i had my dose of Russian experience - killed two restaurants in a day.  We had a Natasha encounter and that was hilarious.  The second one we went to was not as good.  They are just so weird!

On labor day, i went to my long-anticipated US open.  Saw all my eastern European girls played and saw my favorite Russian players won. Couldn't get better than that! It was so freaking hot and blazing sunny there i was like a roateserrie chicken. -_-

I also went to the women's final on the following saturday night with Hope.  Didn't know the final ambience was so festive and so great. Our boy/girl night out topped off with some interesting revelation of our little mystery solved.  It's just so heart warming. haha.  We were wondering if our new friend, Venus, would eventually send us our pictures?  afterall, i was the one who brought her there.  We shall see.
What followed after the night match was almost fairy-tale like.  It was great. haha

I had this whole week off - just because i had too many days i needed to take some, and it's my birthday weekend. I slept a lot and i think I am caught up now.  Not that i did anything special, but i organized my life a little bit.  I started my portfolio work again and here comes another round. Let's see where this leads.
i think i did a lot without being too ambitions and stressing myself out. riiight...

And I am turning big 2-6 today, ohh crraap..  another year.
Just a "cotume party" dinner group gathering with my gang tonight. haha  Mechanical bull?  we'll see.

I'm climbing.

So im finally set up and had my very own office today!  All these years I finally have my own office, not too shabby, right!  At least they gave me something for now.  It's quite different, now i am totally out of the loop in the latest happenings and gossips, no more chit-chat, bitching/grunting, and no more throwback music hours with the crew. Most of all, no more of that great window view looking out to Times Square.-_-  My new office is right in the middle of the building, but it's one of the best offices.  Now i am all alone and get all the privacy.  I get to call in my assitant and CAD designers to have meetings and reviews, feelling all the more important.  I think i will like it!

They are smart tho. Now i am strapped in, but I am still looking for opportunities! ha!

The intern season started again.  It was just THREE years ago i was an intern.  I was so dumb and clueless.  Time flies!

-Yet Another Cloak-

So, adding on to my Cloak collection, slowly but surely...
I got this hot piece last week.  A Glazed cotton hooded blouson @ Cloak.  It was on sale, kinda.  I couldn't resit after i tried it on.  ooops.  Can't wait till the fall to wear it out!

And while I was shopping at Jeffrey on 14th street yesterday, I saw Daria!! - the current hot face in the fashion world.  That made my day!

Im so glad Paris Hilton went back to jail. haha. Lock that bitch up, throw away the key!  She needs to stay in there for a while. haha

That's all for now.

Moscow was GREAT!

I'VE MADE IT!  I've fulfilled my dream and gone to Moscow!  It was so great, i had the best time of my life!

The Kremlin and the Red Square were so impressive!  i learned so much about Russian history i have a new respect for the Russians and just the city itself.  oh, people were so good looking i was checking people out left and right! hehehe.
i was by myself the whole time, but i met some Russian people along the streets too.  They are freindly people!  They barely spoke English, i was having such big trouble communicating in the beginning.  But by the second or the third day i learned how to read their cyrillic alphabet so that got better.  I was going around the whole city by the Metro no problem.
I pretty much toured the whole city in every single direction and i saw so much.  There were so many interesting and funny experiences that just made it so worthwhile and unforgettable.  It was such a great trip!!

Here's the album:  There are a lot, but if you are interested:

Getting Ready!

Another expedition!  Getting ready to go to Moscow in 10 days!!  My very own Russian trip is so close, i can almost taste it. haha.

On my own this time, 5 nights, 6 days, a true expedition this time. -o-  Flying direct on Aeroflot, staying at 2 different places.  A hostel (bleeah!) in the city center, and then treating myself to a hotel for the last night.  Getting a taste of two accomodations.

Visiting Moscow only, will leave St. Petersburg for next time.  Yet very excited to see the real Kremlin and St. Basil.  Russian Vodka, Shapkas etc.!!  (Russian models too?)

This trip will be a milestone.  I will have to enter a completely new life when i get back.  Need to get my act together and start searching for a new job, due to circumstances (blleeahk!).  Things are just not working out.

Hope i can get back in one piece and need not to go to Siberia!  Very anxious, but im sure this will be eye-opening and phenomenal even after my central-euro short tour!

p.s.: Oh by the way, Splash was great on saturday! hehe
