Hey everyone I am trying to decide what I want to post about and when I want to post. I am thinking about 3 times a week, one for spiritual stuff thats going on that week, one for current world news happenings, and teh last one for whatever thought happens to be running through my head. What do you all think?
Word peeps! This is the first official cut towards my new hairstyle. Just some pictures. She didnt do a really good job on it so i will probably get it cut again in a few weeks. But for now this is what i have to work with. The photos are in the photostrip. Check'em out.
It would seem that today's society is placing an ever increasing focus on love and romance. Each year there seems to be new magazines that emerge with the premise of helping people "fall in love." In almost every major womans magazine there is a section that "helps" desperate women to either think they are in love or desperately feel the need to be in love. The problem with falling in love is simple. Its never a good thing. Period. End of the subject. No ifs, ands, or buts. Get my point? Now some of you may think that is a little harsh, but I would like to pose one simple question to all people reading this (and that isn't many). When has anyone ever "fallen" into anything good? I have fallen into holes many times and I don't consider that to be a good thing. I have fallen into bad times and for some reason I cant seem to ever consider that a joyous occasion...
Moving on to the point of this add second posting. I was glancing through my little sister's Seventeen magazine, glancing because I was trying not to throw up, when i happened upon a certain page entitled "Is it Love -- or Just a Crush?" Needless to say I skipped over this section at first, but my curiosity eventually got the better of me. As I began to browse this article I realized what a waste of time it was to both me and the young people reading this trash. As you may or may not know the demographic for Seventeen is primarily 13-19 year old girls. "Is it Love..." had one section that caught my attention, "I knew I was in love when..." There are three different comments there, each more ridiculous than the last. I will be merciful and spare you the horrid details of each comment. Thank me later.
This article served as a slap in face concerning our culture. This is where our youth seek out knowledge about life-changing events. From shallow and superficial magazines. Is this the type of "love" you find yourself in? Just stop and think about that for today.
Well guys i guess this is my first post. I decided to see what this was all about because it seemed that everyone kept going ON AND ON about XANGA. SOOOOO i decided to see whats up with it and if you all are as dumb as you sound (and look *cough* jk). If you are lucky i might decide to post again.
