| chemical rxnsARGGGGHHHH!!! i hate new skin! it's the clear liquid bandage stuff that stings megatons when you put it on a wound. i accidentally threw it in my makeup bag when it wasn't completely closed. i came home and my dad was complaining about a nail polish remover type smell. here's what i found in my makeup bag:

the new skin gunk apparently REACTS with some types of plastic. I have a blue tube of Coverstick, which is where the liquid picked up the blue color. My hands are sticky and blue. and so is the sink. The bumps and stuff you see in the plastic is not the new skin; i wiped most of it off and what you see is deformed plastic.

in short, there was a nasty, smelly, sticky mess in my bathroom and i had to throw away a few items (the now empty new skin, my coverstick, and the makeup bag). i still have traces of blue on my hands and my dad is mad at me for the smell. wahhhhhhh
| if you can't find free time, make free timeyesterday, instead of studying for my ME 373 midterm, i had all sorts of fun sticking pictures into www.myheritage.com and finding out which celebrities my friends and i look like. so. here are the results!
The beautiful girls of Adult Friday School? Diane Duff, Kimmie Hamasaki, Jackie Chow, and Hannah Bullock. I'm sure no one is surprised that I got the dude.

Matt Kuffel's real name is Matt Welling, the lesser known younger brother of Tom. Invite me to the next family reunion Matt!

My mom is way prettier than this match makes her out to be...

Ok, one last matchup for you. i didn't think this one would work, but to my pleasant surprise it did! Keroppi and Charles Taylor (not to be confused with Chuck Taylor) are two peas in a pod.

today i made green tea ice cream with my ice cream maker! it is sooooo good. when i was buying ingredients at QFC, the store was pretty much empty and the workers were making sexual noises into the intercom. as i was leaving, i saw a customer complaining about it. he said, "who is making those inappropriate noises?! maybe that's why your store is so empty." but this guy's logic is all backwards! it's because the store is empty that the workers are at liberty to make the noises! anyways, my ice cream is fantastic, toodles.
| head 2 headi don't know why this entry is called head 2 head because i haven't seen dance 360 in ages. i'm just thinking of it because i had to correct someone who thought the chant was "tag him in" when it's actually "tag yo' man!" at least that's what i think it is since everyone is gangster on that show.
can you believe it's been two months since my last update? i just knew this blogging thing wouldn't work out. ok well here's what's in recent news: danny kwak's cd is FINISHED and looking beautiful. in case you didn't know, i played some violin for him...his artist name is yesan damen and you can find him at www.myspace.com/yesandamen. the track with most of my playing isn't on the site though, so you'll just have to go buy it bubs!
what else...my knitting projects have slowed to a complete stop because i just have no time! but trust me there's nothing i'd like better than to watch some good tv and knit away. ooh i suscribed to this cool magazine called knit.1 and it is targeted for hip young people! heheh, the last issue was the men's issue and it has a nice centerfold...well anyways there are some sweet ideas for projects. as for my current project which i hope will become a sweater, i'm thinking i might need to scrap it because it's just too ambitious for me. mistakes become very apparent. also i have no clue on what to do when i get to the sleeves and collar and stuff. i also used cheapo yarn. so basically it sucks.
does anyone want to let me make them over and you buy everything? i'm obsessed with TLC's "What Not to Wear". the people look so great after their fashion intervention and they have a huge confidence boost. i am totally feeling the author of this craigslist post http://seattle.craigslist.org/about/best/sea/133661272.html because i see these types of geeks every day. the geek she's talking about probably rides my bus once in a while! guys, ladies pay attention to detail all the time so it wouldn't hurt to display yourself nicely. need proof? just ask me what you wore in the past week (assuming i saw you) and be amazed. seriously, the memory is photographic.
| today i watched "it takes a thief" on the discovery channel with such a gross sinking feeling. first of all, i'm glad that our thieves didn't go all out looting at our place, but they really could have in under an hour. secondly, it shows that these guys are smart and want to make fun of the people they're stealing from.
so yeah...2 burglaries in 3 years...time to move out. i'm back in renton with my parents and while i could have tried to find another apartment closer to school, this just makes the most sense financially. everything is happening so fast and there's no time to think. one day i had my computers for entertainment, education, work, information finding, the next day i don't. it's not the end of the world by any means...we all lived fine and well without computers just a decade ago. one night we are watching tv without a care in the world, the next night we are constantly glancing at our kicked-in door and are worried someone is peeping in through the windows. for some reason though, i feel very hardened about this one. not nearly as afraid or angry as i was with the burglary last November. i just felt empty this time. thinking that those same people have been scoping out our place, reading our movements. the cops said they'd probably be back, why didn't we listen?! we seriously underestimated the motivations of a druggie. i am thankful that i don't lead a life of such desperation. i wasn't afraid to stay there. to be honest, i wanted to catch the thieves in the act sooo badly. i wanted to put booby traps everywhere, even though they could sue us if they got hurt. i have a heart of retaliation (forgive me dear Jesus, on your birthday too!).
in other news, i have a ton to be thankful for...like the fact that i had to send my brand new camera back to casio to get fixed, so the thieves couldn't get their grubby mitts on it! also, i own an iaudio and not an ipod, so they probably didn't know what to do with that....oh yeah and my beloved bike is still there, yay! in fact i went on a bike ride on saturday with a boeing buddy of mine and it was a lot of fun. rider's up! we were matching in blue tops and black bottoms, we unknowingly created our own racing team and were acknowledged by passersby. ha, he lives in greenlake and called me at 2 to say he was leaving his house and would be at mine in 30 mins...i'm thinking ummm ok shouldn't it be like a 15 minute drive? i had no idea he was cycling the whole way! so that day he probably went 20 miles and i went about 10. anwyays, fun stuff...if anyone wants to cycle with me let me know.
| Getting out of my bicycling slump. I was pretty bad last week...I only rode on Friday, and i didn't even go to school! I just rode kinda halfway to school then rode back home. However I have still ridden at the very least once every week. I am determined to continue bicycling even though there is no certain boy to impress or chat with anymore. Another will come.
I rode today with indignance. Almost hit that same roadkill rat again...someone should really clean him up, it's been a month now! I rode around school AFTER passing period, so dodging people should have been cake. Unfortunately, I did clip a girl with my handlebars. I really don't know what happened....I totally saw her and thought "don't hit her jack" and next thing I know I'm about to hit her and I say "I'm sorry!" before the impact and that caused her to turn around and get tangled up in my bike and I fell off onto my knees and then on my chest (my backpack adds weight). It was so bizarre, like a really slow fall. It didn't even hurt but I was so embarrassed that it happened. The girl was sympathetic and picked up my bike for me and said "it's okay, i've hit people too". i could only reply with a "sorry about that".
went to the bike shop because i did a sloppy installation job on my fenders and a nut/bolt was grinding in my gears. i mean this baby was mangled up! i tried to tighten the nut so it wouldn't stick out so much, but you can't screw something when the threads are all bent and crimped. bike shop dude whipped out a grinder thing complete with a face shield. i said "whoa, no messin around huh" and he said the Gregg's Greenlake Cycle term for it is "NFA." Sparks flew, and my bolt was nicely trimmed. so exciting.
Last night I read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in about an hour. Thanks Josh! It was a cool book, I am looking forward to the movie and reading the rest of the books. I find it so sweet that Lewis wrote it for his goddaughter and put her as a main character. Lucy the Valiant! huzzah!
