photographers...you guys really got to sign up for this (or some of his other workshops in 2008). if you think the cost is prohibitive, check out the testimonies me and many of his former students have written. your money won't be better spent anywhere else...

I second Junshien's opinion.  This is the most return you'll get for your money.  Knowledge from Scott is worth so much more than any equipment you can buy.  I'm so tempted to go to this one! hmmmm....

Even if we have to secretly book rooms on that same exact cruise ship and then *crash* your workshop, Av8tqr and I *must* be there!

Look, I was the one who was pushing the Cruise idea a month or so ago. WHY is this cruise so far away? Why not have one from the Los Angeles area in California and cruise into Mexico??? We would have more time and less expense if it was leaving from a California port. We could shoot in Old San Diego for the day then board the ship and sail at night to Mexico.

To pay for a long expensive flight to Florida and the cruise costs, its getting so far out of reach of those who, like myself would really like to attend one of these but cant because of the cost.

Come on Scott, there is so much beauty around us right here in California, why not start at home and let more people have the experience?????

Borelfoto, I did a lot of research, the cruise in Miami only costs you less than $300 more (a flight to Miami versus a trip down to LA) but the imagery will be much more stunning. Did you see the links to the Mayan ruins???? I can imagine the imagery already!! Besides, what's $300 to a guy like you! ))

When I hold a Los Angeles 4 day workshop, It will cost more than this cruise- hotel rates around here are at least $150 a night for a decent hotel, if not $200 per night and that does not include all your meals!

Scott, thank you for your response. You know the funny thing is even after reading your story in the past and who you've become to this very day I was planning on asking you some of these realistic questions in person too. hehe =) You are totally right about the website stuff too...I looking into that very very soon! I like blu domain and bigfolio templates for websites! =) That is my next thing on the list after these weddings next month! =) Thank you for blessing me with all your words and so much more! I cant wait till next month, it shall be fun! A lot of what you said I have been totally thinking about. I keep asking myself if someone were to read my life story would anyone want to read it? and no great story is without conflict and your so right about people calling it quits when it doesnt work out after a year or so but I honest to God almost feel like I was meant for this. Its a bumpy road ahead but Im all up for it. You know sometimes I feel so obligated to get a steady job because I graduated from college and should have some sort of "secure" job as they say. My parents support me 110% but at the same time they encourage me that I can do both. Hold a steady job while doing wedding photography too. The last thing I want to come across as my wedding photography as my side job for a little extra money. If I want to be pro I think dedicating myself to that being my focus is important if I am to make it in this industry. So many people who have DSLRs and do a little here and there and the photos come out ok where average people cant always tell the difference sometimes (quoting Kenny here hehe) This is sort of long, I hope to talk more with you later on hehe! September baby! woot! do bigfolio users have flexiblity with updating their site whenevers like blu domain? ok ill save these questions for later haha.

Hi Scott:

Wish you all the best with your workshops. They sound great. All your work is wonderful.

Unfortunately these new workshops are too long and expensive for me at this time.

Will you be doing any 2 and 1 day workshops anymore?

I had signed up for your workshop in NY, but sadly it was cancelled.

All the best

Anna

Scott:

Who said I was going to stay at a hotel in LA? I thought we all camp out in a big tent in front of your place! Ha!

I would love to have you do a seminar over a weekend in Hollywood, Beverly Hills area, with all the cool locations, streets, Rolls Royces, Hollywood Blvd etc. get a few actors as models and shoot them all over the place. We could meet up on Friday night for a dinner and go over the all day Saturday shoot then view and critique with a Sunday brunch. Do you have a Embassy Suites near you? Also, did you know that you can rent out an area at Universal Studios for students really cheap. On our last visit we saw college students shooting and also shooting video on some of their back lots! Talk about a cool location. At Universal you could be in Rome one second and New York the next.

MMM...the universal studios idea sounds fun! i have seen that before, and it's always fun going to the studios and watching them film! if i was more daring i'd jump out of the moving tram and try to get a closer pic or autograph, but realized i would have been tackled by security anyways =(

my wife use to work for entertainment companies so i would get to walk through backlots all the time, sony, disney, warner bros- it was very cool. If people are gonna come to LA, they might as well get the Hollywood treatment!!!

Now thats the Ticket!  Ben Hur, Hello Dolly, The Terminator, Back To the Future and now Scott Robert and a live shoot at one of the most famous TV and Movie Studios in the world...Universal!

A private tram and tour guide takes us throughtout the backlots for a day with several models and actors for a live photo shoot, now dosent this sound like fun? A once in a lifetime photo shoot that knowone has ever done!!! Think about a sponsor, one who works with Universal and also sells to photographers.
