NEW LOOK and CONTEST 4!

Come see the NEW LOOK OF SCRIBEFARM!!!!
A WRITER'S FORUM AND RESOURCE NETWORK

Scribefarm Contest 4

Introduction: Welcome to the fourth installment of our Scribefarm Contest Series. We are pleased to continue to bring contests to our members, and know what we will get wonderful entries. The past three contests have all been very challenging to judge, and have always come down to a final vote. This month, we are focusing on those members that write prose. We will feature a poetry only contest in the month of May. Details for the contest will be given below; however, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the site administrator at scribefarm AT gmail DOT com, or by means of personal message.

Quick Info:
Deadline: May 4, 2008 by Midnight CST
Entries per user: One (1)
Style of Entry: Fiction only
Type of Contest: Themed based on Image
Word Limit: 2500

Contest Rules:

1) First and foremost, like our other contests, you must be a member of either Scribefarm.com or Fictionpost.com to participate. However, unlike previous contests, if you are a member of both Scribefarm and Fictionpost, we prefer you submit your piece as a Scribefarm member (and, if you win, you will be honored as so!)

2) This is a fiction contest. No poetry entries will be considered. Our next poetry-only contest will be hosted in May.

3) The fiction piece MUST be a representation, in part or whole, of the image provided. This is a themed contest. ALL entries must be a representation of the image, be it metaphor, or direct correlation. Entries that have no resemblance, reference, or images pulled from the theme will not be considered as valid entries.

4) Each member may enter one (1) submission. Members of both Scribefarm and Fiction post may submit only one (1) entry despite dual membership. Entries MUST be emailed to scribefarm AT gmail DOT com by May 4, 2008, by midnight, CST (GMT -6). The entry email must have the USER NAME, SITE NAME, and TITLE printed in the email, and document. Please submit in MS Word. If you do not have MS Word, please send a WORD PAD, or NOTEPAD document. If none of these are available, please contact the site administrator.

5) The entry MUST be original work. This means that not only does it have be work produced by you, and only you, it must not be a piece previously composed. No stories that have been posted on the boards up to this date will be considered as valid entries. Entries may not exceed 2500 words.

6) Scribefarm membership is free. The members and staff all work on their own time. Due to this fact, no cash prize can be offered to the winner. However, their piece will be showcased, a global announcement will be on the index page of the boards for one week, and their submission will be added to the Scribefarm database for future publication in the Scribefarm Contest Winner Publication.
