The love of Jesus is so deep. Like the ocean, even if you were to swim in the depths for your whole life, you would never reach the end.

Now...how do you convince those who only know a stream, or possibly have never known water at all, that they need the ocean?

And how is it possible to bring the ocean to the desert?

Jesus, rain in the desert. Be like water that cannot be contained. Spill out, even when I don't feel full of you. Be my words, and my food. Be my thoughts and my actions. Be in my hands and my face...so whether I recognize it or not, an oasis is growing that is impossible to miss...even in the desert.

You are Amazing God

3God came from Teman,
and the Holy One from Mount Paran.
His splendor covered the heavens,
and the earth was full of his praise. Selah
4His brightness was like the light;
rays flashed from his hand;
and there he veiled his power.
5Before him went pestilence,
and plague followed at his heels.*
6He stood and measured the earth;
he looked and shook the nations;
then the eternal mountains were scattered;
the everlasting hills sank low.
His were the everlasting ways...

You split the earth with rivers.
10The mountains saw you and writhed;
the raging waters swept on;
the deep gave forth its voice;
it lifted its hands on high.
11The sun and moon stood still in their place
at the light of your arrows as they sped,
at the flash of your glittering spear...

Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
18yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
19God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer's;
he makes me tread on my high places.

He rejoices over me with singing...

It's true...and it makes my heart so excited.

I am sorry for the long space in postings...it is definately no longer Christmas, though my time at home was wonderful.

I am back in Texas with many changes.

I'm enrolled in beauty school...getting my cosmotology licence and learning to love prostitutes, tax collectors and sinners...literally.

These people are definately different from anyone I have ever had interaction with before. They desperately need Jesus.

I am learning to love...again and always. It is beautiful.

"Neither skill nor knowledge is needed to go to God...all that is necessary is a heart dedicated entirely and solely to Him out of love for Him above all others." - Brother Lawrence

I am learning to be dedicated to living His heart...by delighting in knowing Him.

More later, but before I go... I got my nose peirced. :)

Christmas is coming!!!

And I'm going home!!!

In the midst of hours and hours at the piano and lots of tired, frustrated shoppers wanting to buy giftcards at the mall, there is joy and excitment in my heart because in just two short weeks...

I will pack lots of presents...and some clothes too

And an empty suitcase in case I meet Santa en-route

And I will joyfully make my way to the plane

That will carry me, laughing all the way

To Portland, Oregon...the place in my dreams

And the family whose faces I long to see

And we will laugh, and cry and probably dance

Maybe play in the snow, there's still a chance

I cannot wait to see you, my family so dear

Just 14 short days and I will be there!
