Here goes a poem by Eric Salinas from judson XC and track...this poem is so awesome it sends chills down ur spine.........

Heart pounding as you step to the line. you hear the breathes of 200 runners wanting the taste of sweet victory. Gun sounds! mucles Contract! now Your off! The tension of 200 compounded runners surroundes you as  you find yourself stuck in the middle....what should u do? Give up and watch your dream come crashing down or fight and overcome this undesirable tension. YOUR THROUGH! you've overcome it, to bad its not over...you've got a comfortable postion now only 8 more runners left and 1 more mile separates from your dream....UH OH!!!! whats that u feel? PAIN!! good things never come easy my boy! You long to give up, but ur dream and the nature of ur competiveness doesnt let you....AHH!! you scream in agony and push through an endless WALL!! legs turn to jello, chest concaves, lungs burn, your flying now!........1 runner, 2 runners,3 runners, 1 runner......now your almost there only one left my boy.....Now the question is should u settle for 2nd best or fight for the rest.. THE CHOICE IS YOURS!! you close your eyes to see a road leading to that moment where u become whole......YOUR DOING IT!! you open your eyes to see the ribbon that you longed to cross.....YOU"VE DONE IT!!! Body aches with pain and exhaustion, no room for celebration; now you look back to the trail and ask yourself WAS IT WORTH IT!! You see the look on your teams faces as they receive that district medal and right then and there everything comes into perspective. it wasnt your dream you were only fighting for. it was a dream founded by your team....You merely treated it as yours as an unselfish person would do....YOU'Re DISTRICT CHAMPS!!!! and HELL was it worth it!

now you go my boy, have fun!

because your just beginning a race of a
