NewsAhem. Announcement! I officially will not be participating in NCFCA speech or debate in this coming school year. I know I had a ton of pieces picked out and all, but my schedule is getting too crowded. Below are some of the reasons I'm not doing it: 1. All my classes leave me with little time for extra-cirricular activities. -Arabic -History -Literature -Writing -Geometry -Chemistry -Biology 2. My youth group meetings are on Thursdays and debate tournaments make it impossible for me to attend them and sorry, but youth group is more important than hanging out reciting pieces of lit. 3. I will be going into training to be an EMT in February and those classes will take up a lot of time where I will need to make up for school later. 4. My youth group's creative team meets on wednesdays when Vector's meetings would also occur. 5. No offense, but I really started getting tired of hanging out with the same debaters I've been hanging out with for the um like 3/4th year now. All the retarted senses of humor started bugging me. Perverted jokes started ticking me off, and over all, hanging out with NCFCAers hasn't made me a better person. I'm trying to undo a lot of bad habits I've gotten the past 2 years. I'm really not trying to offend you guys, it's just that I have different priorities and speech and debate aren't exactly playing into God's plan for my life right now. Yeah, I may never see a ton of u guys again, but y'know, that's ok with me. |
