| have you heard of the new google map street view? it lets you see the streets of major cities. i was looking at san francisco, and of course first thing i check out is my house. yay....that's exciting. but wait! there's a man walking up my block. hmm...his posture looks familiar. zoom in...it's my dad! he made it on google maps! we got such a good laugh out of it the whole night long. if you want a good laugh too, look on 17th ave!

| i have this real bad habit of not doing anything! when i come home from work, i just love blopping down on the couch and watching tv. i've been reading this book that is real good, and i often times have the urge to read more of it so i can finish it, but then i get lazy and always always opt for my friend, mr. television. so during my break time at work i always try to eat fast and read some (besides, almost all my co-workers speak chinese to each other, and i have no idea what they are saying...geez!). ahhhh.....i'm a bum!

| today at work, i experienced my first poop clean up! luckily, it wasn't so bad. just a kid using too much toilet paper, and it over flowing. the poor kid felt real bad and started cleaning it up himself before he told a teacher about it. when i saw him, he was standing there looking real guilty with some toilet paper covered in poo, not really knowing what to do next. so i took over for him.
i love the children i work with. sometimes i think they are devil children, even when they are sleeping. but then other times they can say or do the most innocent or funny of things.
today, one girl comes up to me before circle time and says "teacher kara, i love you, but will you sit next to me." how could i deny that!?!!? also, being greeted everyday at your job with hugs and kids running up to you, it's a real touch the heart moment! gotta love it!!!!

| my grandma is hilarious!!! at least with this particular case.... on mother's day, she gets a present...chanel perfume. she was so excited, and couldn't wait to try it on. as she was trying to open it, she kept saying "channel 5!!" channel 5!!!" first we all laugh thinking she gets that people make jokes about it, mis-pronouncing it since the spelling is so close to channel, and was mocking them. pretty good grandma. you get the joke! but she kept saying it and saying it. we soon realize she DOESN"T get the joke, and really think it's called channel 5! how could we take away her excitement of her gift by correcting her?!?! so we just kept letting her go on calling it that, and got a good laugh every time!
