| im cool today i was called "awesome~"
heh heh heh....
i was skateboarding on campus weaving through cracks and people and just looking mighty fine as the wind flows through my hair. as i was skating i saw a little boy kid ahead of me facing my direction. he just stood there in awe looking at me as i was skating towards him.
as i zoomed by him he said "aahh..aawweessooommeee~~~" in a under his breath kind of tone. as i passed by him i heard it and i had a fat smile on my face. hahah then i couldnt stop laughing.
i guess im pretty awesome, at least for one kid. i dunno why, but thats good enough for me to make my day! | | |

this is a rather unusual entry of mine...please understand. but i REALLY needed this week. something to take my mind of everything and just focus on things that i havent in a while or have never even dreamed of. thank you pastor edwin and brian song, if you happen to come across my blog, God has awesomely blessed me through you through food.
haha, have you guys ever had a situation where you wanted a coin toss to decided between a or b but the coin landed exactly on the edge(not the face)??? well, believe it or not, it happened to us!

| common bond do you guys know the song john mayer - sucker? the first line of the first verse can sum up this xanga entry, if you do, then you can stop reading, but if not then please! so this hit me during that sudden heat wave of madness a week ago or so. it was amazingly hot and you know what, we were ALL united because of that. "daang its soo hot!" "yeah man i agree~, dude whats your name?" "cool bro lets be friends!"....straight up. you can look at a stranger during a weather like that and share that common bond as you both are enjoying a cold drink or fanning yourself with your hand acknowledging the hot and humid weather around you. but of course not...when the temperature is juuust right... dontcha agree? another example was with my sb folks as we were moving in this past week and a good number of us were left homeless because our lease didnt start until a few days after and summer school had already started. so a bunch of us were bumming around, finding places to chill and even sleep. i realized that common bond of homelessness was quite amusing and entertaining, and i felt much better being homeless and all, knowing that i wasnt alone.
i guess this reflection can be seen through the eyes of a christian. common hardships unite people? hmm...i think its more like, THE HARDSHIP unites people, and that particular hardship which is common in all of "us" is the one that Jesus had already accomplished. we ALL have that common bond we can share. Jesus Christ crucified. But for some reason this particular one is harder to be united with...why? cause we suck as people, always forgetting the importance, and the depth of Jesus Christ.
remember.

| life IS simple"rather than living for temporal things that are visible, we should always be living for eternal things that are invisible, and living for heaven causes us to live for that which is truly important. Its been well said, there are only two things going out of this world: the Word of God and the souls of men, and thats where we need to invest our life, into reaching people with the Gospel, so that they might be on the path that is headed to heaven, and it will have heaven ever in front of us, it SIMPLIFIES our life right now and causes us to live for what is most important." - Steve Lawson (resolved 08)
