| Sooooooo, been almost a year since I last updated. Well not quite, but
long enough. I think I'm gonna give this Xanga thing one more shot.
I'll probably stop updating after a few entries, but till then......
Spring break was so much fun. New York was as awesome as ever. I really
liked Boston, or at least what I saw of it. Best thing was meeting up
with high school friends. It was like old times, especially the night
at the bar.
Back to Stanford now, I only had one 50 min class today. But I'm
leaving for Chicago tonight for a MUN trip. Don't really feel
like travelling again but it should be fun.

| Fucking Greece are the champions of Europe. WHAT THE FUCK? <sigh> Gone are the days of beautiful football (the Portugal brand of fluid passing football). Looks like all you have to do is defend with 8 men, leave 2 forward and get lucky goals of corner kicks. Man, this is not football. Too bad that a team as good as Portugal couldn't win the tournament.
Smoked my first cigarette today in 3 days. It felt good. But it also shows that I can slowly stop it. Its gonna be a phasing out process hehe, a few now and then. Maybe I'll just become a social smoker but that's really hard. Its either smoke regularly or don't smoke at all. Well, I'll see.
I'm in Bombay now. Its a great city though its been raining for a couple of days now. Leaving tomorrow for Cairo via Nairobi, so won't be updating for a while.

| Been a while since I updated. Still haven't gotten internet connection at home so I've been lazy to update. But anyways, there's nothing much to say. Life is ok here. It was nice to be back in Yangon even though it was the same shit all over again - MG, DC, etc. But then again, after a hiatus of 5 months, I must say it was kinda nice.
I've been in Calcutta for about a week now. Back to the stifling heat and humidity, the pollution and dust, the horrible traffic, the throngs of humanity on the streets irrespective of the time of day. Still, its nice to be back home and Calcutta is as much if not more home to me as Yangon is. Been eating and sleeping mainly. Started working out yesterday, though considering how long my workout endeavours normally last, it might not mean much, heh. Not too many friends here; met up with a couple of old friends, but they're going back to college soon.
Still, this summer still promises much. Just got my yellow fever vaccine in preparation for the Kenya trip. The Africa trip should be awesome. My dad bought a 300 zoom telephoto lens and I will be trying my hand at wildlife photography in the Kenyan savannas in a few weeks from now. I'm really looking forward to the trip. In fact, I'll be on the road for more than month. I'm going to Bangalore right after the Kenya-Egypt trip to visit my uncle, and then to Delhi to visit Puneet and some Stanford friends.
Ok, time to go work out again. Let's hope that lasts. Oh, and I might be giving up smoking. For almost a week now, I've been smoking one or two a day.
| This is the life. Finished with my first year at college, albeit not at all with flying colours (academically i mean.) But that's a different story. The feeling of being done was euphoric. I had my last final on saturday. Went out for good Lebanese dinner and sheesha that night. Came back and started marathon packing.
Sunday was spent mostly packing and finishing other formalities before checking out. Sunday night I reached LA.
I really like LA. From what my parents had said, I wasn't expecting much, but then again my parents lived in downtown and so naturally once it got night, they couldn't do much. But I had it much easier since Melody showed me around LA. It was a fun 4 days. Lots of good food. Every meal was of some different cuisine. Cruising around town, watching movies, going to the beach, good food - good times. It was also really nice to meet up with Eun Sung. Hadn't seen him for a year. We stayed up both nights that he came to stay over at Melody's place.
That's that. And now I'm sitting in Bangkok airport, bored and jaded from the 17 hour flight from LA. Gonna go get some sleep soon and catch the flight to Yangon in the morning. I've realized that not sleeping the night before a long flight is the best. This is the second time I did it, and like the last time, I was able to sleep through most of the flight. The flight was made less boring since Varun, a friend of mine was also on the same flight. Also saw Cold Mountain and 50 First Dates on the flight. The first was not that great, the second I really liked.
Ok, I'm off now to my hotel room to get a good night's sleep. Yangon, Calcutta, family and friends beckon. Peace out everyone.
| Done with my first final. That was pretty ok. It was something called IHUM, which is this bullshit introduction to humanities course. Now comes the real ass raping. Math coming up this evening. Gonna hit the library soon to study for it. And then I have physics tomorrow.
Just booked my flight for LA. I'm reaching Sunday nite. I'm reaching Yangon on the 13th morning. Will only be staying there for 3-4 days though before going to Calcutta. Who's in Yangon right now? Are PPT, JS still there?
Damn, all this talk of flights and all, making me restless. Feel like boarding one right away instead of taking two more finals, haha. And then there's also the infintely annoying job of packing that needs to be done. But I guess by then, I'll be so happy to be done with finals, that it won't be so bad.
Aite, I'm off now. Hope to see some of you in Yangon.
