Focus group result (1) 4/4/2007 (Henry, wise, FC)

Interpretation:

-         SU= power and authority

-         Students keep in touch with us through mass mail

-         SU as a representative of students

-         SU serves students

-         SU represents students opinion

-         SU= unity and union

 

 

Roles of SU in campus life:

-         Role of providing welfare and benefits

-         Coop stores and canteen

-         Photocopy service

-         Role of assisting students

-         Lack interactions with students

-         Unclear image/ identity

-         Lack of image consistency (e.g photocopy center having 2 kinds of decoration)

-         Students don understand what SU is doing (lack of transparency)

-         Inadequate activities for students

 

Role of Cedars:

-         providing more customized service

-         mainly focus on career

-         not that kind of 'welfare' compared with SU

-         providing rather practical service (e.g career)

-         not much personal development activities for student

Expectation to SU

Criteria to evaluate SU by students (how do they define 'good' SU)

-         ability to help student

-         interactivity (directly talk to students and collect feedback)

Interpretation of the above result:

-         students think of those really 'material'  service and benefit, which reflects they perceive SU as ' a student representative which provides benefit to them'(好功利,但我們理解)。

-         students didn realize we have got a free fax service, showing the promotion is not enough

-         Some suggestions can be further discuss the possibility of implementation, like lending umbrella and selling magazines and newspaper in coop, as they have been mentioned twice at the brainstorming session

-           Students demand for transparency, but they don't have an idea of what they want to know from us. (他們要求透明度, 但他們根本不知道自己想知道什麼)

Visual identity designing team :

- 主要工作:根據我方提供的網站設計藍圖組建成完整的網頁,網站功能主要包括網上申請系統(帶接受申請後電郵自動回覆功能、投票功能)、相冊系統、文檔上傳功能(短片、文件等等)、論壇系統(帶投票功能)、網上日曆系統(顯示每日活動並帶點入申請功能)、博客系統(帶上傳功能)、簡易更新系統等等。(非全部)

WISE: 我諗我地需要多一樣野,係PR fuction team,專門諗d program或者function係用黎同同學『聯絡感情』既,好似carnival可以歸入去呢一team。另外,如果I-day低調處理的話,咁開學第一日就一定要搞d野黎吸引freshmen既注意。
