join us for a day of community service and outreach to the community,
ending the evening with an awesome time of worship and prayer.

Time: 2pm-5pm Holiday Service Project (optional, see below for details)
6pm-9pm Worship and Prayer

Community Service Project: Shoebox Blessings
This
year we would like our BAYLA churches and students to take part in
serving the community by doing a fun project. BAYLA has a goal to
prepare 100 shoeboxes that are filled with: socks, canned foods,
toiletries, special messages, etc. Then we would like to go out to the
community to serve those who need a special gift this holiday season.
We want to give our students an opportunity to showcase their
creativity, heart for the needy, and experience a chance to share the
gospel. This event is open to everyone, if you have not prepared a
service event yet, we strongly urge you to bring your students that day
to reflect on the needs of others and the heart of God, by taking time
to humble themselves and give of their time and their hearts.
Things we will need:
1) SHOEBOXES
2) WRAPPING PAPER & RIBBONS
3) NEW/USED SOCKS, not holey
4) CANNED/PACKAGED FOODS, able to open by hand w/o tools
A. Fruit cocktail
B. Vienna sausages
C. Tuna
D. Pasta
5) TOILETRIES, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc
6) CARDS/TRACKS/MESSAGES
WE
NEED YOUR HELP! We need your donations of the items #1-#5. Whether or
not you will be able to attend the community service time or the
worship, we would like your help in meeting our goal to prepare 100
SHOEBOXES!!! Please let us know what items you will be able to
donate/provide. If you cannot make the event AT ALL, we will make an
effort to pick up those items you have collected.
Please let BAYLA know by November 30th
if you will be able to attend the service project and/or the worship,
also if you will bring in items to donate that day or need us to pick
up your donation in advance. Either way let us know what you will be
bringing.
