| | Still life project
This was a source based still life. The second project in my painting class. I used a loose reference for my painting. I wanted to depict a surreal atmosphere. The bottles frame the piece, as if looking into a scene, and the other pottery seems to be floating on water, while they're laid into sand.
That was my original intention, though I'm not sure if I succeeded as well as I could. The rendering is average and the use of water is somewhat blurred and loose.
The colours are bright and help give the definition of stark contrasts of warms and cools.
