Natalie Imbruglia and Daniel Johns have been married in a private ceremony today.

The couple, whom were engaged earlier this year, were surrounded by family and close friends in a secluded tropical location in Australia. They were united in what guests described as a "beautifully moving, non traditional, spiritual ceremony."

Natalie and Daniel on their wedding dayThe bride, was dressed in a stunning silk chiffon v-necked gown, with a hand draped layered handkerchief hem. Natalie worked closely with Beverly Hills designer, Monique Lhuillier. Natalie wore an exquisite neckpiece which she co-designed with LA based designer Kaviar and Kind. Shoes by Jimmy Choo Couture completed the outfit. Natalie was attended by her 5 year old niece Ella, looking like a "fairy princess" in a dress designed by London designer Suzanne Burgess. Daniel wore a vintage pale blue suit.

Following the ceremony, guests joined Natalie and Daniel for a wedding breakfast where guests feasted on a banquet of locally grown produce, in a room filled with cascades of fresh daises.

Guests were entertained by a live, orchestral soundscape which was composed especially for the event. Internationally renowned DJ, Paul Mac completed the entertainment.

Natalie and Daniel have released an image to commemorate their union. The image is now available for sale with proceeds going toward a favoured charity of the couple. Interested media should contact Leigh Taylor @ SugarLove Pictures - leigh@sugarlovepictures.com

New role for Johns spurs talk of split - Newcastle Herald
SILVERCHAIR management has denied claims that the band has split as a collaboration between frontman Daniel Johns and electronic artist Paul Mac has stepped up a gear.

The new group, the dissociatives, was announced this week via silverchairs web page chairpage.com. Writing and recording sessions for the new group have been held in London,Sydney and Newcastle in recent months, as Silverchair has been in hatius after its recent national tour.

Throwing himself into music since recovering from a bout of near-crippling reactive arthritis, Johns has co-produced the debut EP from Missy Higgins, who is with the same label and management as the Newcastle band.

He has recently appeared on the debut EP of Sydney act the presets, playing guitar on three tracks and co-writing one of the tracks.
"Daniels involvement in these sessions was therefore simply a case of having some fun in the studio with some friends", manager John Watson said on the site.

Mr Watson declined to comment yesterday saying it would "add fuel to fire".
Silverchairs future has been questioned on several occasions , which has led to managements posting on chairpage.com saying the musicians were merely taking a chance to pusue their own interests.

A quote from music writer and band biographer Jeff Apter in melbourne's SUN HERALD yesterday- "there has terrible, potentially band splitting trouble behind the scenes" -came as news to the silverchair camp.

Johns fiancee Natalie Imbruglia, bass player Chris Joannou and girlfriend Sarah McCleod were reported to have dinner in a newcastle restaurant on tuesday, indicating no ill feelings between them

Daniel Johns and Paul Mac have officially announced the birth of their new band - The Dissociatives.

The pair spent about two months together this year, with writing and recording stints in London, Sydney and Newcastle.

The first fruit of these sessions will be revealed when the debut single from The Dissociatives – a song called "Somewhere Down The Barrel" - premieres on Australian radio in February 2004. This will be followed by the Australian release of their self-titled, self-produced, album around April.

Daniel and Paul have also announced that they plan to bring some other like-minded musicians on board for a series of tour dates later next year.

The first seeds of The Dissociatives were sown back in 1997 after Paul remixed Silverchair’s song, "Freak". At the time Daniel and his bandmates were enjoying their second multi-platinum album and Paul had already racked up a decade in the vanguard of Australian dance music. In 1998, Paul was asked to add "noises" to Silverchair’s third disc, "Neon Ballroom". Not long after that, he and Daniel began dabbling together in their home studios (the ‘accidental’ results were eventually released as the online EP "I Can’t Believe It’s Not Rock"). Paul was also an integral part of Silverchair’s acclaimed "Diorama" album – performing piano on six songs and guesting with the band during their ARIA Awards performance last year.

The pair’s decision to form The Dissociatives grew out of all these experiences and the fast friendship that formed as a result.

Both Daniel and Paul definitely see their new band as "more than just a side project". They recently shot a video for "Somewhere Down The Barrel" and they are both focusing completely on releasing their album and touring next year.

While they plan to work separately on other projects in late 2004 and 2005, they hope to eventually make more albums as The Dissociatives.

"Somewhere Down The Barrel" and "The Dissociatives" will be released in Australia and South East Asia by Eleven: a music company through Virgin/EMI. Overseas release plans are yet to be finalized.
