I'm happy to the sun

So I just realized it's been more than a month since I posted... but now I am. =)

So my family and I are leaving on friday for two weeks! We're going up to Washington to visit friends and family, and then to Oregon to Cannon Beach, a christian conference. We've been going to Cannon Beach for the last 11 years... so many great memories made there. I'm really looking forward to Seattle...my older bro and I are planning on meeting up with some old friends there for a day. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to share.

Anyway... I was reading a book my little brother (5) has... "Poems and Prayers for the Very Young".. my goodness, kids books used to be so amazing! This one was no exception... I have to share one of the poems. It made me happy. =)

I told the sun that I was glad,

I'm sure I don't know why;

Somehow the pleasant way he had

Of shining in the sky,

Just put a notion in my head

That wouldn't it be fun

If, walking on the hill, I said

"I'm happy" to the sun.
