Alanna is here!!! Yup, all the way from New Zealand!!! She is here and hanging out for a bit so if you want to hear a cute kiwi accent....... well look us up! this is her first winter and first snow experience. also, she saw her first squirrel (which is the most exciting bit so far).

the delicious smells of family are around the corner and most of my city friends are going 'home' for the holiday. im not sure why they still call it home but i cling to the hope that its because home is where your mom is. either way, i too will join the marching of feet to the suburbs and outer areas of the city. i however, will be leaving my home in the city to go spend time with the family for thanksgiving. thats right. i call chicago home. im not an elitist, im just proud to live here. so check this website out and see how great your home is.
http://www.walkscore.com/ it will tell you how decent your locale is and i must say its pretty accurate. my apartment scored a solid C. i guess it doesnt rate for coolness otherwise im sure i'd have at least a B+.

here's a decent way to make a photo more interesting.
