| A new weekI'm home. SGMSA was AWESOME!!! We had 101 students in attendance. A record for a new school's first year! Everyday was filled with music! Singing, sight reading, conducting, song writing, ear training, music theory, fellowship, meals, walking, activities, devotions, etc. filled our days allowing little free time for mischief. On top of all the required classes students were allowed to take private lessons in song writing, piano, guitar, and voice, too. Here's a picture from the balcony of the chapel we used for group singing. We also had our recital here on Friday morning. But the closing ceremony was held in the adjacent auditorium. The closing ceremony was broadcast LIVE on the radio and internet!! I posted a video of the quartet I was part of singing at the closing ceremony on youtube. I have two videos from the recital I will be posting there soon and a few others from the two weeks in Chattanooga which will go up, too.
I had more fun than I had imagined possible! God used my being there for meeting new friends, learning more musically/vocally, and showing me He is ALWAYS paying attention to us, though sometimes we lose faith by our lack of evidence and trust. I'm still singing the songs I learned while there... |
