Bringing Hip-hop to the SquirrelsWe promised an update on our "individual grooves." We've heard it said that "the six foot squirrels have done the improbable." Well they're now out to do the impossible. A band that plays multiple genres of music is rare, but the many different personalities and tastes of the band make it possible to play a wide variety of music. Like Hip-Hop for example... Steve has always been known for his flying-fingers guitar styling and Ducky's mad skills on the drums has always put him a step above all the rest of the drummers in this world, but lately this Dynamic Duo have been bustin up the hip-hop scene. Steve says "yea we both share a love for rhymes and such and Ducky is mean on the turn tables and I can rock the mic so we went to our record company and asked if they'd listen to us rap. They listened to us and really liked it, so it all kinda worked out". But thats not all they got going for them, Rolling Stones Magazine claims "They have a sound not like that of any other hip-hop group out there". Ducky said in an interview with the New York Times "Steve and I never thought we would be so good. It all just started as a little hobby thing, i'd break out the keyboard and turn table and steve justed freestyled, but hey if they like it then the squirrels will rap!" Good Morning America interviewed the two last thursday and asked when can they expect an album. The two said "Although we are good at this, our dedication is to our band and we don't want to put out an album unless we're all on it, but we'll probably put an extra track or two on the next Six Foot Squirrels album." When asked for a demo, the two didn't even bother getting their instruments. Ducky slammed out a bellydrum beat while Steve chimed in with a "C'mon baby, cut me slack/You know this life's another nut to crack." They asked that further lyrics not be revealed. There has also been buzz about The Six Foot Squirrels possibly making an appearance on American Idol Finally but they won't comment on it. In other news the Squirrels have said nothing about the possible concert in Bethlehem and recently when asked about the Great Stage at French Creek, The Emo said they were "really unsure of what they we're going to sing" And Mr. Personality said "No comment". Currently the Squirrels are promoting their Save The Sea Monkeys fundraiser. All money raised will go to help the sea monkeys of the coast of South Africa. Now to answer some of the compelling questions going around, YES ben does have a teddy bear named Flow, You Do Dream when you look into Steve's eyes and NO Ducky doesn't eat glue!
