Hi everyone!!!

Its been a while since I last updated my website but ever since I left Raffles Hotel to run my mom's fashion boutique, I've been traveling a heck of a lot from Chiangmai > New York > Dubai > Africa > Hong Kong > Taiwan > Hong Kong and tomorrow night going to Paris > Nice > and then back to New York from 18 to 24 September!

So if anyone is going to be in New York then, contact Jen Liu (my personal sidekick) who never fails to do an awesome job rounding up my CMU frenz when I'm there! hee hee

I will be there on Saturday 17 September 2005 arriving 6pm. Won't have much time to spend with y'all as I will be attending to business from 20 to 22 Sept and possibly Fri 23rd too. Leaving Saturday 24 Sept at 11pm.

If I don't meet all you then, there is always my trip again to NY from Oct 27 to Nov 2, and in Chicago from Nov 3 to 5. Halloween BABY!!!!

Ok so not wishing Takbau happy birthday on the day itself made me realised that I will most definitely be missing out on wishing the rest of you Happy Birthdays in time ....AND the chance to celebrate it with ya. So.....as I've commented on his site, I am saying it again for those who missed it....I hope being all the way in Spore counts for some "forgive me" points...plus I'm bad with birthdays and my girls can vouch for that ;p NOT that it means u'all mean any less to me. Its just that for me, I'm glad everyday and not just only on ur birthdays, that ur parents gave birth to each and everyone of you!!! Especially to all my peeps I had the privilege of becoming friends with at CMU....to which without all of you, my experience there would not have been what it was...truly memorable.

With the risk of sounding impersonal but with the hope that you acknowledge my sincere effort of not wanting to miss your birthdays...please fill in your name in the appropriate blanks when appropriate.

A year has passed since I've started working...well a lil over a year...and so much has happened!!! Went to Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Cambridge, U.K. in November....which was of coz needless to say a real great time for Quek and I. ¢¾

We took up Salsa I and then Salsa II and we're now learning Social Dance (Rock & Roll, Cha Cha and Salsa).

I had Pneumonia early this year where I was hospitalised for over a week and stayed away from work for over a month!!! But people at work were really nice sending me stuff toys, basket of fruits and cards. My GM even called me on my cell to tell me to take as long as I want off work

Was back to work after Chinese New Year and promoted in the beginning of March to ¢¼ Assistant Manager of Marketing Communications ¢¼

I'm mainly in charge of handling the F&B promotions at Raffles Hotel which has given me a lot of exposure and opportunities to write the copy, design the collaterals and handle the media coverage by drafting press releases and meeting them Heck of a lot huh considering that we have more than 18 restaurants and bars with promotions taking place concurrently.

Well now counting down to the day Quek leaves for Archi grad school, not looking forward to it but it was bound to come anyways... He got accepted to Columbia at NY and UPenn but I think he should be going to NY...so all you New Yorkers over there...better look out for my boy a'ite!

So my freedom ends 23rd Feb. I join the rest of the working world at 8freakin30 in the morning. Basically I'll be a Marketing Executive with Raffles Hotel's Marketing Communications Department. Raffles Hotel Singapore is unique in the sense that is has lots of restaurants, its own Shopping Arcade (with boutiques like Gucci and Tiffany's) and basically its a historical icon of Singapore. Apart from enjoying 50% at any of their restaurants, I get employee room rates at their hotels both home and other countries Hmmm what else...I'll be working on the F&B (Food&Beverage) accounts first like dealing with press coverage and promoting their restaurants and wine collection. Check out one of their events they hold annually...

The picture above on the left is the Famous Long Bar where the fans above are just so resort like and people are welcome to throw their peanut shells on the floor to add to its charming laidback feel. And the one on the right is the in-house theatre where local plays and musicals are staged.

What is so weird is that I used Raffles' Hotel picture for one of my Publishing on WWW class project about places to visit when in Singapore and now... I'm going to be working for them

Valentine's Day Weekend was a blast. My dad gave us VIP MTV Asia Awards and post party tickets!!! woo hoo! Mariah went on stage to receive an award, Michelle Branch and Vaness were the hosts...Black Eyed Peas and Simple Plan performed...erm...what else....basically it was fun. I saw the chick from Black Eyed Peas at the Post party. Quek spotted Utt (MTV VJ) and I got to take a pic with him. Utt was sooo sweet, he wished me a Happy Vday and shook my hand!!!

Ok so 2003 HAS definitely been a great year. My last semester at school when I suffered senioritis by taking bold decisions like deciding to go on a road trip with my Thelma u know who u r!!!, skipping classes (which I don't often do for those who know me), going drinking on a school night heh, spring break on the West Coast with ma gurls' and experiencin' a little somethin with my Thelma again! and basically having a whole load of fun with booth, Lunar Gala, multiple BBQs at 450 and the list goes on.

I also did what I intended to do which was to do a whole lotta travelling like to Mexico with family, LondonFrance & Spain trip (which was absolutely exhausting because it was non-stop hopping from places to places), Back to NY on a bz trip with mom and catching up with my CMU peeps!, Sydney with Quekie, Shanghai with Godpa and mom and the recent HongKong trip with my cousins!!!

My Business Mandarin and Japanese classes are going well along with my guitar lessons. Part time work with a Marketing Consulting firm was a bit too hectic so had to cut down on my guitar.

As for this year...I'm still deciding whether to go ahead with my Language immersion program in Shanghai. I have two interviews this week one of which is pretty much up to me if I wanna take up the job. Sigh...still undecided about whether to pursue a great experience and exposure to the China market by studying in Shanghai or to remain in my comfort zone and work in Singapore.

Will have to see how this week goes and if I like what the job entails...in any case...I miss you guys! So come visit me be it Shanghai or Singapore

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Make sure that u leave time to do the things you want because we ain't getting any younger ;-p hee hee

BTW, my new year eve's party was a hit! Over a 100 people turned up! Its called "Full Circle" because here in Singapore, we kids go through the same things hence we invited people from my Elder sister's , brother and younger sister's age group to come mingle and count down together.

Hiyeee! Thought I'd let you guys know that even though I don't update my site often enough, I still read all your entries because I love to find out whats going on in ur lives over at the other end

I miss you all and I'm grateful for all of you faithful xanga lovers for religiously keeping me up to date with your life. Without AIM, Xanga and Friendster....I don't think it would have been easy to keep in touch with my CMU peeps!

As for me, I'm still taking my Business Mandarin and Jap language classes in the mornings. I've stopped my guitar lessons because of my hectic part time work schedule with a Marketing Consulting company. I just came back from Hong Kong where I bought loads of stuff at Mongkok and Causeway Bay. So if anyone is planning to go there, best bet is to head to Mongkok (not sure if the spelling is right). Nightlife is naturally at its best at LanKwaiFong. We went to Dragon i (supposedly the "in" club) but it was mostly old farts. My sis saw Karen Mok on the way there though...heh.

My plans to go to Shanghai for the Chinese immersion language program is still in the green zone and the term starts in February to July. SOOooooo if anyone wants to come visit me, let me know
