Why Vote for Mike Huckabee

Why Vote for Mike Huckabee?

It's time to clear up the lies about Mike Huckabee. I am tired of the constant bashing of someone who could be the next great President of this country. This election is being driven by corruption and lies. If you're not convinced, keep reading.

Can Mike Huckabee actually beat the Democrats?

Not only would Governor Huckabee beat whoever the Democratic Candidate is, he would beat them by one of the biggest margins in American History. This may sound crazy, but the fact is that liberal pundits are smarter than we think they are. Right now, Scott Rasmussen has Mike Huckabee ahead of Hilary Clinton.

Mike Huckabee 45%

Hilary Clinton 42%

Scott Rasmussen also has Hilary ahead of Mitt Romney.

Mitt Romney 41%

Hilary Clinton 47%

Is it possible that the liberal pundits actually would love Mitt Romney to win this primary because it would be a sure victory for them? Now you asking yourself, but why does every liberal pundit I hear say Huckabee is an automatic loss for Republicans? The answer is the ignorance and disconnect of people like Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, and Rush Limbaugh. The liberals are banking on the fact that these conservative pundits will buy into their insane reverse psychology.

Liberals know that Mike Huckabee would be a slam dunk victory for Republicans. These are the numbers before most independents and undecided voters have looked into Mike Huckabee. Also, Mike Huckabee against any democrat would drive out more evangelicals to vote than in any other election in American History. This Christian Conservative would lead this country with honor and dignity and liberals are scared as hell.

Look at the facts. Huckabee is second nationwide in both poll percentage and delegates. He definitely can win, and if he wins the primary the general election would be such a huge victory that the Democratic Party would be torn apart. Think about it and look at the facts.

Is Mike Huckabee really a man of character?

Of course he is a man of character; in fact, he is the only clear option. When Governor Huckabee rose in the polls he was hit hard, but his character was never questioned. Even in Mitt Romney's biggest attack ad began with "Two good men." Huckabee was Governor for ten years and no one can find a single lie. That is incredible. No flip flopping and no "I didn't inhale." He is for real, believe it. Maybe you can credit it to his humble beginnings and his faith. Who knows? What I do know is that he is good man. When his wife had cancer he was there every step of the way because he is a good and decent husband, father, and would be president. I can't say it enough; he is a man of true character.

OK, he is pretty weak on illegal immigration though isn't he?

On the contrary, with Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter out of this race his is actually rated highest on illegal immigration. Numbers USA did a study rating each of the presidential candidates past record of dealing with illegal immigration. Tom Tancredo was the mark at 100%. Coming in above all of the other viable candidates was Mike Huckabee at 74%.

You might say, but didn't he give scholarships to illegal immigrants. The answer is yes. He allowed the children of illegal immigrants to be eligible for the same scholarships as everyone else. There were qualifications though. They had to have very good grades and had to be working on becoming an American Citizen. In our country the Federal Government has done such a poor job of defending our border that the burden is placed on the state. You will see policies such as this in every state because the Governor has to account for these people. A governor can not deport. Ask Mitt Romney and his sanctuary cities, and sanctuary mansion.

Mike Huckabee currently has the endorsement of Jim Gilchrist, the founder of the Minute Men, and is very well respected by Duncan Hunter who has yet to endorse. There is a reason for this. Mike Huckabee is without question, the strongest viable candidate on Illegal immigration. Yes, he is a man of compassion, but he is also a man of laws and respect for those laws.

So why do they call him "Tax Hike Mike"?

Yes, there was a point when Mike Huckabee raised taxes in the state of Arkansas. Why, because 80% is the citizens wanted him to. It had to be done. When he came into office the roads and the schools of the state were truly in a pathetic state. Something had to be done. Now, Arkansas leads the nation in education and roads. So yes he has raised taxes, BUT!!! Arkansas remains in the bottom four of state income taxes. This is the case because Mike Huckabee also cut taxes 94 times, not to mention the surplus he left office with after inheriting a huge deficit. How many Governors can say that is this era of over spending?

Are you starting to see a trend here? Look at what is being attacked. If this is all they can find

than thank God for Governor Huckabee. Open your eyes and look at the record!

I know Mike Huckabee is pro-life, but so are the other candidates right?

Governor Huckabee is the only candidate for a Human Life Amendment to the constitution. Did you here what I said? Mike Huckabee is the only candidate for a Human Life Amendment to the constitution. He is the only candidate to actually pass legislation to protect the life of the unborn. I'll say it again. He is the only candidate to actually pass legislation to protect the life of the unborn.

Mitt Romney's epiphany ended in a fifty dollar co pay for an abortion paid by the state of Massachusetts.

John McCain, Fred Thomson, Rudy Giuliani, and Mitt Romney are all against a Human Life Amendment.

The job of a president is to protect its citizens. I think future citizens are pretty important also.

We need a President who will stop the genocide happening in our own country.

It is important to me that our next President has experience. Does Mike Huckabee have experience?

Governor Huckabee has more Executive experience than any candidate running for president, Democrat or Republican. He was Governor for ten years.

Here is his Record:

# Won re-election twice as Governor of Arkansas

# Kept the tax burden of Arkansas residents among the lowest in our country

# Left office with a record budget surplus, after inheriting a deficit

# Grew the Arkansas economy at a rate higher than the national average

# He passed welfare reform measures that helped reduce welfare rolls by almost 50 percent.

# For the first time in state history there was a major, broad-based tax cut.

# He passed education reforms that encourage character education in schools, expand the availability of college scholarships, provide for the creation of charter schools and establish a new approach to workforce education.

# His new initiative "Smart Start" emphasizes reading and math for students from kindergarten through the fourth grade. "Smart Step" is a similar program for those in the fifth through eighth grades.

# He passed the "Property Taxpayers' Bill of Rights."

# He passed legislation that simplifies auto registration, previously a time-consuming mess.

# He completed the largest road construction project in Arkansas history. Truckers magazine which had labeled the roads in AR as one of the worst before now acknowledges AR roads of being the most improved.

# He saw to it that all of the tobacco settlement money was devoted to improving the health of Arkansans.

# Effectively handled the influx of 75,000 Katrina evacuees and received nationwide recognition for his efforts.

Please do not allow the conservative disconnect to destroy this county. Vote for Mike Huckabee.

God Bless!

Closing time,
Open all the doors and let you out into the world,
Closing time,
Turn all of the lights on over every boy and every girl,
Closing time,
One last call for alcohol,
So finish your whisky or beer,
Closing time,
You don’t have to go home but u can’t stay here,

I know who I want to take me home
Take me home

Closing time,
Time for you to go out to the places you will be from,
Closing time,
This room won’t be open till your brothers and yours sisters come,
So gather all your jackets,
Move it to the exits,
I hope you have found a friend,
Closing time,
Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end,
Yeah

My time here is almost over. Only one more semester lies between me and that stage on the football field. Scary? Yes. Exciting? Yes. My reaction? Small tears are natural.

Humorous But Profound Economic Lesson In Tax Cuts

Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand. Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

* The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
* The fifth would pay $1.
* The sixth would pay $3.
* The seventh $7.
* The eighth $12.
* The ninth $18.
* The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve.

"Since you are all such good customers," ! he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20."

So, now dinner for the ten only cost $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes.

So, the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free. But what about the other six, the paying customers? How could they divvy up the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share'?

The six men realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being 'PAID' to eat their meal.

So, the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:

* The fifth man! , like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
&nb! sp;* The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings).
* The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28% savings).
* The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
* The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
* The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to eat for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. "I only got a dollar out of the $20," declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man "but he got $10!"

"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than me!"

"That's true!!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!"

"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all.. The system exploits the poor!"

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for dinner, so the nine sat down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up at the table anymore. There are lots of good restaurants in Europe and the Caribbean.

My will vs. His will

Since I haven't been out of the Santa Clarita Valley for over a  month and a half, I decided to take a little drive this morning. So this morning, I woke up before the sun did and I took a drive up the coast. I had my devotions on the beach, and then attended a Sunday worship service at a small baptist church I had passed on my way. During the congregational singing, we praised God  with the words of the age old hymn, How Great Thou Art. When I sung that song this morning, I was so blown away by what a great God we serve. Why?

If you've talked to me at all this semester, you have probably heard me complain about schedules, schooling, working, and etc. One of my greatest weaknesses is my addiction to scheduling. Its almost as if I find a peace when everything is scheduled, organized, and set in place. However good scheduling may be, it should never take the place in ones life that I have given it in my own. Once I find myself a few weeks into the semester, it seems like I "worship" my schedule. I do everything to make the schedule work. I give up fellowship for the schedule. I forgo sleep for the schedule. I sacrifice my time alone with God for the schedule. I live for the schedule. How obsessed have I become to the constraints of time!

Why do I devote myself to the schedule? Self-confidence, pride, selfishness, greed, and the desire to meet others expectations.

But the realities of dropping grades, declining health, and stagnant friendships are too blatantly obvious to ignore anymore. I have neglected my first love and, in the process, I have abandoned my chief calling in life.

In all truthfulness, this morning was amazing. But I hope it just wasn't one of those plateaus in my spiritual walk. I mean, obviously, I'm not going to have the same excitement in a few days, it shall ebb a bit. However, I hope that I will remember to stay true to Him and to do everything to His glory. That should make me want to excel in my classes, work diligently, and pursue relationships with other people, not a schedule I have put together for myself. I will still keep track of my time. I will still strive to be studious. But this will not be my life. Above all, I'm a child of the King, and I should be known for my faith in him, not my personal accomplishments.

So if I haven't hung out with you because of "the schedule," thats going to change. I can be more efficient with my study time, the assignments will get done. But if you feel that my relationship with you has been cast to the roadside, be bold and please call me out on it!

In Christ,

Sam Carstensen
