| Hi all... (Although I don't think ANYONE reads this page... which is fine....) I'm back from wedding #2- of 3 that I am in.... it went so well. Ashley was the most relaxed bride I've ever known. THe night before the wedding she wanted to have a bonfire and jump on her trampoline with the entire wedding party. Anyway, it was a wonderful event, and I got to see all sorts of people who I grew up with and haven't seen since I moved to Iowa City. By the way- how was JonPaul and Elizabeth's wedding for anyone who went? I was sad I had to miss that one.
You may be proud to know that I've become a full-blown- mom in just a few short days. I've had to cook every single night (granted... cooking to me merely means something not called "hot pockets") and I have to keep the entire house clean as well. It's not as bad as it sounds though... in fact, scarily enough, I enjoy it!
sean is coming to visit in just a couple weeks! He marks only the second friend from APU to come visit in over three years. Thats sad... but I'm fine with it. I think people are afraid of being bored.... little do they know how much there is to do in Iowa City, and what a wierd, crazy place it is! I cant wait to show him around... i've got all sorts of fun things planned already. yahoo!!! | | |
| Today I'm leaving for Ames to watch my best friend get married! How crazy is that? well for some people thats ordinary.... but i'm too young for this! | | |
| Okay- so after graduating from APU this May, I was suddenly thrust into the real world and was completely unprepared. Well, just kidding- I'm actually living at home again, which is SO much better than the real world. Free food, free laundry, my OWN ROOM! (Which I haven't experienced in years). My family leaves for Europe in three days, which means that I'm gonna be holding down the fort all on my own. Unfortunately, working as much as I do doesn't leave much time or energy to enjoy this freedom. I must say that the best part of this week has been talking to old friends. I finally got a hold of Drew last night, and it was so great to talk to him. We're both a tad aimless considering that we have these very expensive degrees that aren't worth jack unless we do more school. But he's starting to work on his demo, which is so much cooler than grad school. I can't wait to hear it... I know he'll be absolutely amazing. We've known that for years! It has to be just a matter of time before he gets hooked up with someone like Benson and then the whole world will get to hear what we've been hearing day in and day out. I gotta teach some voice lessons now.... thats right- I'm a voice lesson teacher! I have 21 students on whom to impart my knowledge. Scary!!! | | |
| Hi! I officially have the coolest sister ever! Her name is Rachel and she rocks my socks off. She's so awesome! I am so lucky to get to livewith her all of next year! Just thought i would let you know:) | | |
| Hi! Today was pretty uneventful. I slept till noon, which was the best blessing I could have asked for. My roomate Kim and I went to Target, and I bought makeup for the first time since oh... 9th grade? I figure if I'm going to do this UCO concert thing, I'm going to do it right! I also got to talk to 4 of the members of my family, and my friend Jay on the phone. Tonight a bunch of my friends were in the APU Broadway Scenes. They were amaizng! I sat in the back, and like any good mother- videotaped them all with the program tucked under my arm, clapping until my hands hurt! One day I'll find myself in that same position watching them on stage, except they'll be making millions and paying for my kid's college education! Tomorrow is our second UCO concert, and I'm definately excited for it. Our first concert was a great experience, but tomorrow we're wearing our cuter outfit- so you know at least that aspect will be better! (you'd have to see the man-coats to understand). Goodnight! xanga
