| This has to be one of the most entertaining NBA finals in a long time. The talent pool is so deep. The styles are different. And there is hope that we wont have to watch the Pistons and Spurs go at it again. As much as I like the team concept, its boring to watch. My prediction? If Lebron can beat the Pistons tonight, the Cavs win it all. This 21 year old phenom has risen above my already high expectations this year.

| Bored at work, so I Facebooked people. Oh so fun. Weird fact: The guy who used to have my extension at work, left our company for Facebook.

| I really want a 30inch LCD TV. Why 30? Its really the biggest I can realistically afford. At most this will be a summer purchase. I also want a new computer. Which would also be a summer purchase. I don't think I can really afford both, but I want both. Oh the decisions. Hopefully 360 prices drop over the summer so that Microsoft can gain more market share. Dropping prices a bit would almost gaurentee that I get a 360 and then an LCD. It would make my decisions so much easier.
On the topic of the 360, I really think Microsoft screwed up by not adding backward compatability with the original XBox. The entire reason PS2 was so successful was that it already had a library of classic games from the original PS. For so many people it was the obvious choice of upgrade. The choice was between starting over on a new platform and buy new games or just upgrade to comparable technology and bring your entire library of games with you. Lets just put it this way. If 360 was backwards compatabile I'd have one already. It just peeves me that I will have to repurchase NBA2k3, Madden2k6, Fight Night R2, ect. So why would I just not wait till fall 06 when the above mentioned games are obsolete and its a new game purchasing season anyways. And who knows, maybe I'll see a reason to go with PS3 by then.

| Loving my phone, although I lost my first stylus last weekend. I want a pair of these, but there has been no release date yet. I found a few places with preorders @ $115ish. As much as I cringe thinking of paying that much, it is bt and seems like the most feature rich bt headset I can get. Stereo sound, remote control, mic, and a lcd to screen calls and jump around on the playlist. What I like most about them compared to other headsets is that its not this huge chunky headset around my head. I enjoy the inconspicuous earbuds so much more. As much as I am geek, I hate walking around as if I were a cyborg.
It seems that every Monday, I come in to a bunch of voicemails and emails letting me know that a server is down. Its great because I love the adrenaline rush in order to get things back up to speed. But the part that sucks is that it totally just fucks up my week. I'm the type of person who tries my best to plan and budget my time. So every week I have projects and mini projects planned based on the fact that I know that there will be plenty of other projects thrown on top of what I have planned. But I never plan into my week that important servers will go down, because that's just not something you do. So the past two weeks, I had a file server and production SQL box go down unexpectedly. Which was fun for the first half of the week, but left me exhausted and with too much stuff left on my plate for the rest of week. The thing that sucks the most is when you have to work with people who don't seem to care when the server gets back up, even though your entire call center can't do the queries they need. So frustrating.
What I am enjoying is that more stuff is being thrown to me every week. My boss is getting swamped with his new responsibilities and I'm slowly picking up all the small peices. It reminds me a lot of when I started running more of the operations at AZ. Hopefully this gig will become more lucrative though... unlike at AZ, I am easily replacable here.

| Last week, I ditched my dying Blackberry for a MDA. Its pretty neat and in general I like it more than the Blackberry. Sure, push email is great, but I love the fact that the MDA handles most of my needs. It functions as a PDA and phone at the same time instead of a phone then PDA and it shows. There is some functionality that I would like to be a bit better. Like easier access to my call history and easier phone calling. But the integration between access to the PDA and phone functions is pretty good. There are a few apps out there that will probably get the MDA to the point where I am 100% satisfied with it. Right now I would say that I was 90% satisfied right out of the box which is pretty darn good. I've already started to slowly customize setting, but I am a bit hesitant to really do some of the more exhausting registry hacks and then debugs. Mostly I'm just afraid that'll I'll need to do a hard reset and start all over.
