He Had It Coming! (don't read if you have a weak stomache or are a man)

Today was soooo much fun! I was rather shocked at the fact that it was Monday and I enjoyed myself. I still have not quite recovered from it. It was still as crazy as anyother Monday, but today I had the opportunity to do something that I had never done before. I was blazing new trails in the land of Lindsay. Embarking onto new territory. (You are probably starting to wonder if this story has a point, but be patient. I'm getting there.) So, today in animal handling we had a quiz, as expected. It was your average quiz, not too tough, but enough to make you think (as all good quizzes should do). After we completed our quiz, we were instructed to go to the barn, where we would be finding out our task for the day. I completed my quiz in good time and followed my peers to the designated place of meeting aka the barn. When a large enough group had arrived, the big news was made known. Today we would be, not only giving booster shots to the lambs, but also... (here it comes... are you certain you are prepared for such life altering news? because I wouldn't want to be the cause of your damaged psyche because you received such amazing information that your mind simply could not comprehend it and shut down.) I think I have given you sufficient warning, today we would be castrating lambs! Now those of you who are not a pre-vet are probably thinking that this is the most disgusting thing you have ever heard and wonder why anyone in there right mind would be excited about that, but you just don't understand. I have been looking forward to this day since I applied to The University of Findlay. It has been my light at the end of the tunnel that has kept me going all this time. Well, ok maybe not, but it was one of the things that I was really looking forward to. So we gave the lambs their shots and finally the moment had arrived. I stood at the front of the group to be sure that I could see everything. The TA asked if there was anyone who wanted to give it a go. I was hesitant at first, not because I am afraid of the blood and gore, but because I didn't want to be the one who did it wrong and was responcible for the death of an innocent, adorable lamb. Well, someone stepped up and volunteered. I can't say that I envy her, but my chance was soon to come. She hesitantly grabbed the scapel in one hand and in the other she held the lamb's last link to manhood. Slice, slice went the scapel. Not knowing the correct amout of presure to apply, she had to use a few more strokes of the blade to complete the incision. She handed the scapel back to the TA and proceded to grab one of the testicles and pull until she felt the tendon snap.  Next came the good part, the imasculator! She placed it in the area that the TA had marked out and clamped down as hard as she could. Harder and harder she squeezed until the testicle was completely severed from the body. She had to hold the clamp there for a few minutes to ensure that the bleeding would stop and infection would stay out. After the clamp had been on for a sufficient amout of time, it was the next testicle's turn. Again, the TA asked for a volunteer. I didn't raise my hand right away, but when no one said anything I asked to do it. I stepped forward, a bit nervous, but so excited. I reached in and grabbed the testicle. It was slippery and hard to get a good grip on, but I finally got a good hold on it and pulled. I could feel the snap and knew that I had pulled hard enough. I then cleared away the area where the clamp would soon be. I positioned the clamp where I was instructed it should go and squeezed the handle. As I squeezed harder I could feel and hear the clamp cutting through the skin. It had a kind of crunching sound. My knuckles were white from squeezing the clamp so tightly, but I couldn't let go now. The time had not been long enough. I focused all my strength on that clamp. I was not going to be responcible for the death of this lamb, not today. Eventually, out of exhaustion, I asked to be replaced. Once I let go, the full pain hit me. It was not inredible, but it hurt. There I stood, bloody and tired, but proud of the job I had done. I left the group to wash the blood off my hands in a pail of water that had been set aside for just such a purpose as washing the blood off of one's hands. The water was warm and felt good on my cold, stiff fingers. By this time, class was over and I left the barn with the rest of my comrads. As I walked out into the cold, I felt like a new person. I was no longer just your average jane, I had just emasculated a creature of the male species. It was a very empowering feeling (but don't worry, I won't let it get to my head). I then returned to my average Monday and life returned to normal, but this day will always hold a special place in my heart. Now I realize that this entry was extremely long and if you have made it to this point, with your cookies still intact, I congratulate you! Well done. Perhaps next time I will learn to keep it short and sweet, but where's the fun in that?

wonderful

my day has been very much like the bubba sparxx song "wonderful". it's been a good day, which is prasically amazing because this entire semester, minus a day or two, has been... well...crappy. i hate most of my classes and i have been really stressed lately. today, however, was different. the day started out like every other day. i woke up...late. i got ready and went to class. i was exhausted even though i had more sleep than i had gotten all week and i walked to chemistry somewhat dreading the day. maybe it was the chair, but no it is the same chair i always sit in, i don't know what it was but from the minute my butt hit that chair my day started to get better. maybe it was God giving me the boost that he knew i needed today, yeah that's probably it. the weird thing is that this day has been the same as any other day. i didn't do anything different and yet i am happy. oh! funny story! tonight when i was working out i cut my finger! why is that funny you ask? well, it is partially because i have a very weird sense of humor and also because i cut it on a sticker! yes, i said a sticker. but, before you point and laugh, this was not ordinary sticker. well , ok it was your basic sticker, but it was those plastic ones that have the weight amount on them. well, this sticker was starting to peel off and i was going to change the weight and i was putting the pin in the weight that i wanted and my nail slid right between the sticker, seperating nail from skin. it hurt and bled a little, but it was still pretty funny. i stopped by a friends room for some rubbing alcohol to clean it out just incase. i wouldn't want my finger to get infected and fall off! haha. i then had to tell the whole story to him and his roommate who was baffled at the fact that i could cut myself on a sticker. they thought it was pretty funny as well. and, oh yeah, for future reference, although rubbing alcohol may be good to get rid of bacteria, it shows no mercy! it hurt pretty bad, but i stopped at jazzman's right after and got an iced mocha, which made it all better as coffee often does! don't ask why i got an iced mocha when it is freezing outside because i can't even explain it. it is very yummy! iced mochas are my drink of choice. haha. ah, well, i think that is sufficient for now. goodnight or as they say in german... guten abend!

My life up to this point in time (now there's the shortest novel ever written)

Yes, it is true. I have once again returned to my first (internet) love, xanga. You know what they say, you never forget your first love. It has been a long time, though apparently not as long as I had previously assumed. The reason for my return is the recent discovery that a few of my college friends were fellow xangans. I was pleased to hear that xanga had not completely become a thing of the past, but the problem was that besides forgetting my user name, I had also misplaced my password in the volumous abyss of my mind. With nothing better to do, I typed the website into my computer and waited for the screen to appear. I then proceded to type the first thing that popped into my head. Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles it was right! On the first attempt I gained access to the once forgotten web page. It was in dire need of an update, but it was still the same old xanga that I remebered. Even at this point in time I have not completely finished the lengthy process. Well, I have other duties to attend to and the time is quickly slipping away. Farewell my friends. I will return in the near future.

I am so incredibly bored I could just break down and cry! I know this sounds weird, but I kinda wish I was back at school because I could at least see my friends. Isn't that pathetic?! All I've been doing is laying around and writing thank you notes. It gets really old really fast. This summer has been really sad. Next year I won't get to see any of my friends. I am going to have to start all over. I guess it won't be so bad, but I still miss my friends.

Goodbye cruel world!

I finally got my license! Woohoo! It took long enough. I can finally drive on my own. No more bumming a ride off other people for me. HA!

Got to go. bye.
