I haven't updated this in months. Mostly because I never have anything to say. Life doesn't change on a day to day basis usually. And I enjoy being antisocial which means I never have any stories or gossip to tell. I only ever really post when I'm pissed or super excited or bored. Today I'm pissed and I wish it would all just go away. And that's all I really want to say. And I may not post again for several months, but I really only use this to stalk other people, not to inform you about my life. So whatever. If you want to know what's going on in my life, then talk to me in person.

SCIACS

So SCIACS went well overall I'd say. I got 5th on 3 meter in both prelims and finals and 6th on 1 meter in both prelims and finals. I was much happier with my prelim performances than my finals performances, but oh well I guess. Not too much I can do about it now, and my finals performances had some really good aspects to them. The swimmers did well. I was proud of them. Plus, the girls kicked major ass which was amazing.

I'm back in the states, in case anyone missed that. My trip to Budapest was amazing and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I loved learning so much math and travelling. I managed to go to Prague, Vienna, Athens, Paris, London, Rome, Vatican City, Istanbul and Ephesus (also in Turkey) while I was there. If you want to hear more about my trips, or see pictures let me know. Unfortunately, most of my pictures are still nameless which is why I have yet to post them online, but hopefully that'll happen at some point (maybe spring break).

Anyways, I'm back at school (where I've been for 5 weeks). Classes are going well so far. They don't seem too hard which is good, although there is a lot of bio that I need to catch up on for my biochem class (makes sense since I haven't had bio since sophomore year of high school). Diving is going amazing. I've learned 5 new dives in the last 5 weeks and I've competed 4 of them so far. Jimmy has very high hopes for me for SCIACS (read...he wants me to win 3 meter), but I'm not sure how likely it is that they will actually happen. However, I'm excited about diving and I'm looking forward to SCIAC prelims this weekend. If nothing else, I'm having fun and learning a lot of new dives and not hating the team as much as I did last year.

I should get back to work, but if I haven't seen you recently you should stalk me, and feel free to stalk me even if I have seen you recently.

I'm in Budapest. I managed to find my appartment okay and such today. I'm in a bookstore using the internet there. Grocery shopping was also an adventure today. I am very grateful for the pictures on food labels. More later once I get better internet (aka on my computer so the keyboard is regular again...this one has lots of Hungarian letters and so is hard to use.)

Also, if you want email updates (as I will do that more than this) let me know.

So I'm back home, although I leave tomorow for Michigan and my cousin's wedding. I'm glad I'm back. I had a lot of fun this summer and I enjoyed the work I did (we're going to publish soon!! :) ), but I felt very cooped up at home and needed to get out of there. I'm not sure how much better here is going to be though since Alex is so unstable, but hopefully it'll go ok. Hung out with Sharon last night for dinner which was fun. It was good to see her since it's been so long and I used to see her every single day due to ochem at the butt crack of dawn and lab and such. Then I went over to Cypress' place to harass her for a bit which was fun. Tonight Rich came over unannounced and we hung out and such. Watched a movie called "The New Guy" which was funny and odd and set in high school. Oh yay for high school (er...uh...yeah...). Anyhoo, it was nice to hang out with Rich. It seems like the first time in a while that we've been together and there has been no looming awkwardness due to his dad which was nice, although it still felt different in his house than I think it should, although maybe that's due to the fact that Happy is gone now too. Sad. But, all in all I've had a good few days at home despite the fact that being here is stressful. When I get back I have a few days home and then I'm off to Budapest. Exciting! :)
