Allo?

Remembering how this thing works is like that old riding a bicycle thing. Still feels a little wobbly...

Anyway. Hi Xangasphere! *sits on dusty sofa and bounces for a sec* good to be back. Glad to see things haven't changed. How are you all? I'm just fine, gearing up for school and all. And by gearing up I mean reading Harry Potter instead of the alotted first six books of the Iliad. I'm keeping up with the times, Homer, cut me some slack. I could write a messload of things that would all sound like a CW show. Sometimes I think my life is one. But all in all, things are pretty great.

Running on 3 hours of sleep.

You kids keep your faces away from fireworks now, y'hear?

My birdie is special. While I was out at choir, she must have stomped all over my keyboard because she got rid of my away message and said hello to a couple of friends.

30 miles biking on 3.5 hours of sleep?

 HEEEEEEW YEAH

Sunday, May 14, 2006

So a while back I had a dream about choir. It was funny. I was in rehearsal and Judy asked me to give a speech at an upcoming concert about Beauty and the Beast. Not exactly sure why...maybe we resurrected "Be Our Guest" or something. This whole correct capitalization and punctuation thing is going to wear off eventually, fyi. But anyway, I needed more information so I went to Josephine who had this set of BatB coasters that had information about the show on the back of them and I asked her if I could use them, and the conversation went as follows.

Me: Hey Jo, can I use your BatB coasters for the speech I'm supposed to give?

Jo: Well, they're antiques...

Me: No I know I'm not going to mess around with them I just need them to get information.

Jo: Can't you go to the library?

Me: Well the library by my house is currently undergoing renovation so all the books are out of order and the other library...well the other library's books are worthless.

Jo: Well, what can ya do!

So I was angry at Jo. Then I was looking at the calendar to see what was coming up and I saw that there were three nights in a row that we were called from 4-11pm, which made me kind of mad. I asked Jocelyn or some other staff member what it was we were singing for and she told me that it was a service for this woman's dog that had died. I kid you not. We were singing for a woman's dead dog. Apparently this woman's dog died a while ago and she had it taxydermied in pieces and every year on the anniversary of its death (the dog was a chihuahua named Pink) she reassembles it and holds a three day service for it. I asked for a program for the service and Jocelyn handed me this card with a flower border and an order of events on the back that began with "The Assemblage of the Puppy".

Ridic.

In other news, Lupe Fiasco and Juice=rockin.
