"Kickin' it"

So Cliff and I are in Branson, MO now getting ready to start rehearsals for Noah: The Musical on Monday. And we went to Subway the other day. As we came up to the counter and ordered, the subway guy started talking to us. He seemed pretty cool, so we asked him how long he had been in Branson. He said he just moved here. So we proceeded to ask him why. And this is what he said:

"Well, basically, one of my good friends said, 'Hey! You should come down to Branson and kick it.' And I said, 'WHY NOT!?'"

Wow. So Cliff and I have decided that we are "kickin' it" in Branson.

I could live with this...

So, I am presently in a photo shoot. I am posing at a computer on a Lonestar College campus. And yes, I am blogging on xanga. So this is the life of a model...not bad. I could live with this.

A man cannot discover anything about his future

Ecclesiastes 7

8  The end of a matter is better than its beginning...

10  Do not say, "Why were the old days better than these?" For it is not wise to ask such questions.

13-14  Consider what God has done:
Who can straighten what he has made crooked?
When times are good be happy;
but when times are bad, consider:
God has made the one as well as the other.
Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future.

These verses have been a great comfort to me. I love the book of Ecclesiastes.

"And live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us" Ephesians 5:2

Love requires sacrifice. Sacrifice requires pain.

Yesterday I died.

I died to myself in a way I never have before and let go.
