Have you seen the movie Expelled yet?  It's a must see and was fairly balanced.  Very controversial documentary about Intelligent Design.  We dragged all our family there just to support it and because none of us wanted to stay behind and miss it.  Needless to say our 3,7 (nephew), and 9 year old couldn't follow it well..or so I thought.  Afterwards we asked Peanut what the movie meant to her. She answered in a typical Peanut way, "That movie was sooooo boring for us kids but I think it has something to do with Freedom."  She got it, even though it was a long drawn out documentary that you'd think a child wouldn't get.  It truly is a movie about Freedom. See, they really are paying attention even though it's "boring".

On a sad note.....
I'm throwing a virtual tantrum over the lack of Jasmine rice right now.  I just spent $5 on a little 5 lb bag, what in the world!

Let the rice free!  Feed the Thai people (in Tucson)!!!  It's the end of the world!  LOL!!!  Waaaaaaaa!!!!!  I WANT MY RICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, virtual tantrum over now.    Just never realized how much I've taken rice for granted.

Kai boy is sick again.  Another respiratory bug just started at the Smith home.  :(

I DO HAVE to tell you what Kai boy told me the other day though.

He walks in my bedroom, holding up his hands in a cupped position; kind of like how a swimmer cups his hands to gain more traction in the water.  He has a bewildered look on his sweet face as he studies his hands.  "Mommy," he states with absolute confidence," I have a Mexican in my hands."  "What did you say baby?", I reply as I attempt to decipher his message.  "I have a Mexican in my hands Mommy."  "Do you have medicine in your hands Kai boy?"  I respond thinking maybe he has his words mixed up.  "Nope, I have a Mexican in my hands."  All I could think as I'm feeling his hands to try and help him figure out what he's MEANING to say is that maybe he's just got a great imagination.  I had to kind of dismiss the conversations as precious, imaginative, and odd.

Later that day, I happen to talk to my friend Cindy.   We're chatting about who knows what when I had to tell her the funny thing Kai boy said today about the Mexican in his hands.  She started laughing hysterically.  "What?" I ask her.  "I think he got that from my kids." she answers.  "What do you mean?" I follow.  "They do this thing where they cup their hands and look to see if their folds make an 'M'.  If there's an 'M' on your hands, they say it means you have Mexican in you."

Just another precious Kai boy memory I had to share.

Chelsea Clinton recently discussed current events with a U.S. soldier.

She asked if, as an American fighting man, anything scared him.

He told her there were only three things he feared:

1)  Osama

2) Obama

and,
3)  YO MAMA

OK, I KNOW, BAD BAD BAD.  JUST THOUGHT IT WAS TOO CUTE NOT TO SHARE.
