L.A.'s getting kind of crazy, and New York's gettin kinda cold, I keep my head from getting lazy, I just can't wait to get back home. And all these days I spend away, I'll make up for this I swear, I need your love to hold me up, when it's all too much to bear. And when the night falls in around me, and I don't think I'll make it through, I'll use your light to guide my way... Cause' all I think about is you.
I've always been a bigger fan of their older music, but this song is pretty decent. Actually, the whole album is decent. Just not as excellent as the first two, or, in my opinion, the second one. The second one is the best.
Since it seems to be in the air, I decided to make a list. A list of my favorite television shows when I was a child. So, here goes.
Top 5 Best T.V. Shows of my Childhood
5. Thundercats

That's right. Who DIDN'T love the Thundercats?? They're cats... and they rock! They have swords and all kinds of crazy weapons and they fight off the bad guys. Okay... so the allure of the Thundercats has worn off in my later years of life, but when I was a kid, this show was the shit.
4. The Power Rangers

Any and every girl that ever watched this show wanted to be the Pink Ranger. Don't kid yourself. I know I sure wanted to be the pink one. She was top dog. That's right, even better than the Red Ranger, the leader. Besides my love of the Pink Ranger, I actually don't really know what about this show appealed to me. Maybe it was all the "violence". Maybe not.
3. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

There is something about this entire franchise that appeals to kids, teens, and adults, even today. And that says to me that this show is and always will be golden. The idea that four of the slowest creatures on earth could be chemically altered into ninja fighting machines is simply amazing. Besides that fact, they are led and taught by a giant talking rat. These four were the foundations of my youth. And of course, Raphael was my favorite.
2. Sailor Moon
Okay so I know I just stepped into the realm of dorks now. However, before anyone says anything, let me clear up two things: First, my television experiences were usually limited to Nick, Disney, and Cartoon Network. And seeing as Cartoon Network was the only one I watched, it was only natural that I would see the debut of Sailor Moon on TV and love it. Second, girls were not the only ones to watch this show. I know of a lot of guys that used to watch it, too. Which tells me, if any male can watch this show, well it must be worth something.
And now you ask... what could she possibly claim as # 1?
1. Spongebob Squarepants
Yes, I really went there. Spongebob came out sometime around 2000 or 2001, I believe, so yes this is a show from my childhood, although I'll admit I still watch it on occasion when I'm at a home with cable TV. This is just one of those things that I saw once, and knew right away that it was love. It has its funny moments, and is just filled with plenty of adult jokes. It's just like our parents sitting down and seeing cartoons from their day on TV, it's awesome to sit back and remember those good old days. That's what Spongebob does for me. And yes, Patrick Star is my favorite. Gotta love the idiot.
