  • How did you meet your spouse or significant other?

I met my husband about 6 years ago. We were in the same English class in high school and he was always competing with me for the top grade, since we're both huge English geeks. One day, he told me that he'd only been competing with me because he wanted me to notice him. Of course I thought that was just beyond adorable, and we started dating. We'd been dating all through high school, and right after graduation, he popped "the question" and gave me a small ring. Told me he wanted to make sure we were never apart. So, we set the date for like six months later and we've now been married for a little over a year.

Edit: Okay, that was the biggest lie I've ever told in my life. Bet you saw through it, didn't you? Truth is, I'm not married, but I almost did marry the last person I was with. He was my first love. Now we're no longer together... and I am partying it up! So... let's see... the next best significant other would be my best friend/sister. I met her in middle school, actually in English class. We've been best friends ever since, and that is no lie. :D Gonna go see her today!!! Yay!!!

  • Top 5 in Kids TV

L.A.'s getting kind of crazy, and New York's gettin kinda cold, I keep my head from getting lazy, I just can't wait to get back home. And all these days I spend away, I'll make up for this I swear, I need your love to hold me up, when it's all too much to bear. And when the night falls in around me, and I don't think I'll make it through, I'll use your light to guide my way... Cause' all I think about is you.

I've always been a bigger fan of their older music, but this song is pretty decent. Actually, the whole album is decent. Just not as excellent as the first two, or, in my opinion, the second one. The second one is the best.

Since it seems to be in the air, I decided to make a list. A list of my favorite television shows when I was a child. So, here goes.

Top 5 Best T.V. Shows of my Childhood

    5. Thundercats

That's right. Who DIDN'T love the Thundercats?? They're cats... and they rock! They have swords and all kinds of crazy weapons and they fight off the bad guys. Okay... so the allure of the Thundercats has worn off in my later years of life, but when I was a kid, this show was the shit.

    4. The Power Rangers

Any and every girl that ever watched this show wanted to be the Pink Ranger. Don't kid yourself. I know I sure wanted to be the pink one. She was top dog. That's right, even better than the Red Ranger, the leader. Besides my love of the Pink Ranger, I actually don't really know what about this show appealed to me. Maybe it was all the "violence". Maybe not.

    3. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

There is something about this entire franchise that appeals to kids, teens, and adults, even today. And that says to me that this show is and always will be golden. The idea that four of the slowest creatures on earth could be chemically altered into ninja fighting machines is simply amazing. Besides that fact, they are led and taught by a giant talking rat. These four were the foundations of my youth. And of course, Raphael was my favorite.

    2. Sailor Moon

Okay so I know I just stepped into the realm of dorks now. However, before anyone says anything, let me clear up two things: First, my television experiences were usually limited to Nick, Disney, and Cartoon Network. And seeing as Cartoon Network was the only one I watched, it was only natural that I would see the debut of Sailor Moon on TV and love it. Second, girls were not the only ones to watch this show. I know of a lot of guys that used to watch it, too. Which tells me, if any male can watch this show, well it must be worth something.

And now you ask... what could she possibly claim as # 1?

    1. Spongebob Squarepants

Yes, I really went there. Spongebob came out sometime around 2000 or 2001, I believe, so yes this is a show from my childhood, although I'll admit I still watch it on occasion when I'm at a home with cable TV. This is just one of those things that I saw once, and knew right away that it was love. It has its funny moments, and is just filled with plenty of adult jokes. It's just like our parents sitting down and seeing cartoons from their day on TV, it's awesome to sit back and remember those good old days. That's what Spongebob does for me. And yes, Patrick Star is my favorite. Gotta love the idiot.

  • Two Skies

As I am driving by, I take note of the starry sky

Knowing you're sitting under the same night, at the very same time

I imagine you imagining me, but your face is much harder to see

Now that you've been gone so long, I know that it's wrong

A piano plays for me and you, the song is sweet and full of sorrow

But you left me alone, left me without a home

And now you're lying with her, and you're not even sure

But that's okay, everytime you think of me your skies will go gray

And I will drive faster, and drive even farther

To get to my next sky, my next destiny.

  • Birthday!

That's right. Today is my birthday. :D

My day will begin in about 5 hours. It will include: waking up and dying my hair, a trip to the bank, a trip to get some tea, a trip to the mall, then it's off to the tattoo shop for a few hours, get myself some sweet ink, then off to a friend's house so a bunch of us can get "ready" for the party at the hookah lounge which will begin at 8pm and end right around 4am. My birthday is awesome. I'm pretty excited... not even sure I can sleep well tonight. I probably won't even sleep at all. Especially with the knowledge in my head that in twelve hours i'll be getting a tattoo, and it will hurt like the dickens.

Ah, the woes of life. :D

  • White lines

White lines... going through my mind.

Today was good. Got to see my best friend. It's easier now that I live two minutes away from her. Went grocery shopping with her and her mom. Then we drove around a lot and had some Dion's and made fun of emo kids and all kinds of good stuff. Her sister recieved her certificate for getting a black belt in tai kwon do. Both my best friend and her sister have black belts. They could kill me anytime they want to. I wonder why they haven't yet...

Then I saw my good friend kelsey and we went to wade's house and played copious amounts of guitar hero and ate bbq chicken. It was pretty awesome. Now, I'm sitting at home alone, drinking a Rockstar and starving to death. I am really hungry... it's ridiculous. I should probably eat before I die. Meh.

Three days until my birthday. I love my birthday. It's the one day everyone (including people that normally don't care about you or talk to you) actually care and say Happy Birthday! And then they buy me stuff. Pretty cool, huh? Ha. Well, almost done with my Rockstar. Time for bed, I suppose. Maybe I'll post another poem up here tomorrow. I'm tempted... tell me if I should or not.

Goodnight you crazy Xanga kids. :D
