I'm back from Houston and I'm missing my relatives already! It was an amazingly fun and relaxing 5 days, although we could have made do without the airport trauma, which consisted of missed flights, cancelled flights, a day of standby, and my mother hollering every two hours. And thanks to my 17 year old cousin, I am on my way to becoming the new posh and sophisticated looking ME! She loves doing make-up, doing hair, and shopping anything designer, and it kind of rubbed off on me this holiday season where I went all out every morning sitting at her nifty make-up table straightening my locks and loading on mascara. HAHA. I even bought a pair of Juicy sweatpants at Off Saks on sale for 50 BUCKS! The original price was $200. Can ANYONE please explain to me how a pair of sweats can cost 200 BUCKS??? That just baffles the mind. And then obviously I went insane as well and bought an Elie Tahari pink tank for 60 bucks. Gosh, what the holiday season can do to the best of us and our wallets. After that I figured...screw it, I'm not going to care anymore and threw in a pair of leather pointy shoes, a pair of Seven Jeans and one of those knit ponchos by BCBG. Waahhh...but to all the designer fanatics, they are so impressed with me because I got everything at more than 50% off! To the rest of the mankind, I am nuts, I know it. I mean, isn't it an even better deal if I didn't spend this money at all? Now I'm too afraid to check my bank account. <sigh> Pictures on it's way! I need to caption them first...
New Job, New Faces...
I am feeling a sudden pang of sadness because I just realized that today is my last day at European Kitchen Center. I spent the day calling up all my potential clients to tell them that I was moving on to a bigger and better future (hopefully) and that their accounts were all being transferred to my manager. Some people were really appreciative of my call and even praised me for being a good salesperson! HAHAHA. Yes, I think that's why I closed so few sales, because I was such a doormat and said, "Ok, take your time to decide, shop around other places and compare, let me know when you're ready." lol. And that is exactly why I shouldn't be in this field. Funny thing IS, starting Monday I will be working at BoConcept as a Sales and Design Consultant! I heard the salespeople there are like...super aggressive, so let us see how long it will be before I get roasted and fired. <sigh> I am taking my last few minutes in the showroom reminiscing this past year, how laid-back my job was and how all I really did everyday was dust the kitchen cabinets, download music, check email, update Xanga, surf Friendster, and chat on MSN and ICQ. That actually takes up alot of my time already! And not to mention some really slacky days when I closed the store to get my nails done. Hehehe. And I just spent the last several hours backing up all my stuff from the computer (which consisted of a lot of photos and mp3s) and uninstalling Itunes, ICQ and MSN. Puahaha. Now I'm about to leave and I will be taking a huge box of files with me, just like how they do it on those TVB series when people get fired. <sniff> I think I feel a tear coming out of my eye! Oh wait...that's just from the leaky ceiling from the rain, nevermind. Haha, jk. Oh well, bigger and better future, here I come, wish me luck! And HAPPY 2005 everybody, may your new year bring nothing but good tidings! <smoochies>
