My goodness, how time flies! Last time I updated I had just been accepted at Regency, which was a month ago. And I've already completed my first day there. Monday was orientation which was 4 hours long. We got our kits which include....I'm going to guess.....over 200-600 pieces of hair products, tools, and whatnot. Our kits that we bring every class session weigh about 60 lbs. That doesn't include our nails kits either. It was a little overwhelming at first. We had to take everything out, inventory it, and then fit everything back in. I also have 6 mannequin heads sitting on the dining room table. Charlotte for some reason, isn't terrified of them, as I am. haha.

I have 4 other girls in my class. One whom I've connected with pretty much instantly. We're already shampoo buddies. haha. That sounds hilarious. I'm the exotic one of the class. I think they probably have no idea what to think of me. I'm very well liked and can make everybody and anyone to laugh. But when it comes to music, movies, appearance, and food......I'm pretty much living on an opposite planet. That's ok though, I'll gladly be me!

I'm feeling very confident that I'm going to be a fantastic stylist. In Decemeber, I might be going to the Chicago Fashion and Hair Show, where I'd be working with some big stylists. Airfare, food, and 5 star hotel paid for. I'm sooo excited.

Anyways, enough on that front. Charlotte is the most wonderful toddler on the planet! She's climbing everything. She bites everything. She sings when she's happy. She has enough hair for pigtails. And her fave thing to do right now is High-Five. Jason taught her that one, and she won't stop doing it now! haha.

I'm moving back to Lawrence. And my little family is whole again.
With all the changes, I feel like I'm getting a whole new start. And I'm completely happy.

I've been accepted into Regency Beauty Institute. I have an appointment with them tomorrow to tour the campus and talk financial assistance. I start July 14th. I'm more excited than I probably ever have been! I can't wait to get started!!!

Charlotte has been a cranky, yelling, and moody mess. Her top two teeth came in tonight and they are surprisingly sharp! No wonder she's been so upset......teeth hurt!

Yesterday, we went to the zoo. We had a blast! We went with my Mom, Tommy, and Charlie. We spent around 2 and a half hours there. It got so hot, the kids faces were bright red by the time we left. We saw the tigers and monkeys first. Then headed down to the kangaroo trail. A lot of the animals were pretty inactive, I think the heat was unbearable for them. We stopped and got a drink and fed the kids snack/lunch. We brought our stuff with us. $7 for a hot dog is outrageous! haha.

Charlotte's favorite animal of the entire day was the sea lions. She squealed everytime they'd swim by and stick their heads out of the water. She laughed and pointed at them when they started sunning themselves on the rocks. Too cute! She didn't want to leave that exhibit. But once we did, we ventured over to the elephants. They have the most amazing Elephant Habitat out there. It was beautiful! The elephants were pretty close and Charlotte was quite amazed. She just sat pointing at them with her eyes open as wide as they'd go.

I think next Tuesday I'm going back to the zoo again. I want to see more of Africa this time!

What a long weekend we just had. Didn't do much of anything. It was just me and Charlotte. We swam two days in a row at Cindy's. Charlotte loves to walk in the shallow end. She squeals and yells the entire time. Lately, Charlotte can't seem to stop talking. It's officially started......she's a walking, talking, full of life and temper tantrums 1 year old. I love every minute of it!!! haha. She working on her top two teeth. Her gums are purple, so close to coming through.

I've packed up all of Charlotte's baby clothes, bouncy seat, swing, baby bathtub, let's just say anything baby related. Took everything over to Cindy's last night. Since Cecily is coming the first week in July, the least I could do was bestow all of the baby items back to her. Thank God she's a girl! We'd have to buy all new everything for a boy! haha.

I've been running. Training for the Muck and Mud 5K in August. I'm throughly excited. So far our team consists of Malynda, Jessi, Matt, Heather, and Me. Jessi suggested we make shirts, I'm thinking that's not such a bad idea. Who knows, I'll guess we'll see!

Emily is home tomorrow! I cannot wait!!! I'm going to give her the biggest hug in the whole world. I've missed her so much, especially since the last couple of months have been so awful. I'm just so excited to have her home!

I've made a career decision. I feel really good about it. I know I'm going to be awesome at it. Nothing can discourage me. I'll tell you more later.

Charlotte smells like she needs a diaper change......and I don't think Kiki (the cat) or Kelly (the dog) are going to do it. So toodles for now.

It's been such a long week, I'm thanking my lucky stars it's the weekend!!!

Saw Rosa and Lindsey this week. It was long overdue. I've missed them both terribly. Charlotte and I both got a little pink that day from being out and about. We're both lathered in sunscreen, but I guess our accidental summer tan is under way!

Charlotte's favorite things to play with lately are:
Toothbrush, the kind that vibrate, she goes EVERYWHERE with it.
Her sippy cup of water.
My tattoo.....she slaps it and tries to pinch it off daily.
My phone....she's been calling people.
And last but not least.....Kiki. She lays on her, pinches her, and chases her.

On an upside for me......I bought my first NORMAL bra today. It's so pretty!
No more nursing bras for me! I'm almost a free woman! We just have to phase out the wake up and go to bed feedings!

exciting weekend. good times had by all.

friday......malynda, heather, millie, and I went out for ice cream. malynda was the only one to eat any. i used the bathroom there. walked back to millie's. went to irezumi's. around 10:30, i officially started getting my tattoo. we didn't get outta there until late. the guy stayed after hours just to finish my arm. after 2 and a half, maybe 3 hours......my tattoo was done. i love it. it's beautiful and so detailed.

saturday......grandma stohl turned 97! we went out and celebrated her beautiful life. i love her terribly. so family and lotte played with some great aunts of hers. gave me a chance to sit back and relax. saw jason and had pleasant conversation.

sunday.....having a cook out in celebration of Momma's Day. soooo.........Happy Momma's Day!!!!!!!!

still need to get dressed.......and lotion my arm.........it's itchy. my mom told me she wasn't going to give me sympathy. haha!

Charlotte's toenails are Tangerine Joy. They look so cute. haha.

Getting together with the girls for a bit tonight. Not for long though, I hate leaving my baby even for an hour or two. She's so wonderful!

Tomorrow I'm headed out towards Topeka. Grandma Stohl's (sp?) birthday party is out there. So Charlotte and I will be looking divine for that. Can't wait to see everyone and get lots of hugs. A lot of that side of the family hasn't seen Charlotte since September. So it should prove to be a very exciting afternoon!

Charlotte has turned into a monkey. She climbs on EVERYTHING! It doesn't matter what it is, she scales it. She's become quite the daredevil. I love it and hate it all at the same time. hahaha. Charlotte took a few steps today too. More work for Momma!

Cleaning out the closets in the house with my mom tonight. I've already scored an awesome skirt. I wonder what else we'll find.

Well, Charlotte is standing on the end of bouncy seat.......bouncing it. Gotta get her before she falls over.
