I am thoroughly annoyed with iPod technical support, they wanted to charge me $39 for S&H for a pair of earbuds, no not for the earbuds themselves, the S&H. the thing weighs like, what, an ounce? I understand why people hate Apple now. the woman I spoke to was incompetent and went on and on about how she wanted a page to load, she wanted to start a conversation and if you know anything about me, unless you are dressed well or I know you are interesting, I will not engage in conversation with you, not to even mention my social awkwardness...

I should probably sell my iPod on Ebay, I wonder how much they're selling for. oi, I should have thought twice about getting an engraving, how dumb of me.

I just REfound this article recently, and I am somehow angry (at Hayne) and embarrassed about shopping at a store geared towards dispensing trendy, urban wear. shifters are annoying, but necessary to get ahead. AND I don't think its possible to talk about UO and not talk about American Apparel, it is in literally every single magazine, its on Facebook, Yahoomail... I need to know: who/where did they NOT pay to advertise? things used to be good when people wore weird/pretty colored tshirts and random shine-y lame apparel and sweat/headbands, but its so commercial now. although I guess its impossible to keep it a nice little secret, sharing is good too... and it's as addictive as ever. 10% off any order, anyone? there's a thingie from now until the end of June or something, good stuff

why is the world chock full of good sayings and why am I such a sucker for them? I should start a quote book, like Oprah does, I wonder how she organizes hers... alphabetized by the speaker or by the content? or just random? I think it'd be so hard to find if you did the latter. then again, I thought approximately 80% of the quotes in the epigram book I checked out from the libes was good so maybe it'd be smarter to just BUY books.

I am obsessed with the notion of Darcy and Elizabeth, period.

Who doesn't want to be the witty heroine who always knows what to say and how to act? and then gets swept off her feet by her complete opposite who puts on a cold front but is inwardly generous, not to mention absolutely rolling in it and has classic aristocratic good looks...?

this place has just about been abandoned by what once was. people gawk at me when they chance by my email and see the "Xanga Subscription Digest" emails that I get, you still have Xanga? you're still on that thing? yea fuckit.

on just about every single e-shop site I frequent I have racked up a saved shopping cart of over $500
and I keep talking about a summer job, but I have come to realize I am one of those

I blame others but I only have myself to blame when it comes right down to it, it doesn't feel good to have no one to blame. the French?

sometimes I want to write for a living, just tell people what I think and be rude about it and come up with witty magazine titles and talk about currency and the now.
but no one would pay me for that, not to even mention read it...
and I try to come off as a booksmart, but I am SO not and I wish I was
I tried to read classics for a summer, you know, Shakespeare, etc. and got hooked on F. Scott Fitzgerald instead which could be called classic but his books are about the wealthy/privileged, which is honestly all I am interested in when I read a book.

I want to be removed from what I am when I read. I like reading about defiant femmes, the rich and well off, existentialist thought, the minds of the twisted, the enlightened, and sci-fi in moderation etc. etc. Fine, Oliver Twist was fun while it lasted, but I hate tragedy and the boy was SO tragic I nearly screamed when he got into another mess with the mugger/gang people...

I hate pondering the meaning of life. just get happy, go through hell to attain it and just get happy. drama is unnecessary unless it is closer to happiness than the alternative route. If you don't like who you're around cut your losses, cut them off, and just go. This is not a life lesson for readers, this is a life lesson for me. A good reminder, because someone knows I am in dire need of it.

PS: who in the world bought all the Marc by Marc stewardess totes in cream? I hate the chocolate brown, and in the case that I do get a summer job, I plan to spend my savings on the cream one which is no longer in existence. so please, if you are one of those who spends 300 dinero on a bag you will wear once as a cheap alternative to your Chloes Mulberrys Fendis and Guccis, please 'fess up so I can e-hit you, seriously.

zebra mini obsession

Does anyone care for zebra print any more? I know it was all the rage maybe a few seasons ago, but I have always had a small obsession with zebra (flashback to sixth grade where I printed out the black/white pattern to stick into my binders, folders, and even had a zebra lunchbox). Which brings me to this jacket I found whilst browsing the sale at Jcrew.com. With the additional 20% off it's a little over $60... I want it, it's linen so it'd be ok for Spring and Summer, right? Maybe I'll ask for it as an early birthday present, god I'm laying everything I want onto the birthday, but I really do think it's time I had a slightly more tailored jacket. And the print kind of brings some fun to it, not too formal and stuffy...

These colored ones are cool and just about trump the plain white ones, but I still like the idea of a plain, white shoe, they are just more workable, the plain white ones, I mean. But I do like the subtley different strap colors and the little bit of shine on the highest "ring" on the ankle cush.

Hmmm, maybe red ones?

Why is it that the things I detested when I was younger, namely the flower-y ribbon-y hair clips and those jelly flats that used to melt under your feet, (I was a complete tomboy), I want now?

So new additions to the shopping/wishlist:
- kiddie, big bows for hair
- plastic daisy clips (the cheap ones, you know? do they still sell them? should drop by Walmart and see)
- Target jelly flats in white. A little note about these, I tried them on and I find them insanely comfortable, they conform to my wide feet and don't dig in anywhere, so they are highly recommended!
- Target wedge rainboots in black, still (pictured below). I think I have wanted rainboots since the the beginning of sophomore year (three years ago, holy shiza) I should get on that
- Gap's nylon bow satchel in black, which I hear is pretty big
- TOMs gold slip-on, and the cause is kind of great too
- Old Navy knit skirt in black, grey, and/or red?

oh and I recently got the star-print vest from the Jovovich-Hawk collection at Target, the Loeffler Randall linen clutch (I want to name the clutch Loffly, isn't that cute?), and a nice little haul from Old Navy

PLUS I did a little DIY (click click click to see) with some mirrors I bought at a craft store the other day, it was ez and the result? not bad.

so I have officially decided that this Xanga has the sole purpose of organizing what I want to do, see, buy, try, etc.

birthday wishes

EDIT: This is turning into a wishlist/shopping list place. Hey, fine by me.

so basic and classic, I want something with velcro straps. I contemplated white Keds, but Keds run hells narrow and I have wide feet, so we shall see...

oh and Target Jovovich-Hawk stuff, which I have yet to browse in store, but online? it looks hit-miss..., could look better in person, who knows.

why does everyone hate paisley so much, I think its kind of awesome? I hope this is black/white, I don't like brown, it's so incredibly hard to work with.

star print tunic, doubles as a dress I hear

the dress has gotten bad reviews, but I think its the prettiest thing in the collection

realized I'm still too scared of pink to buy it, even an accessory, this goes with everything and it is girl-y and prettifying

OH and I think I might like target.com a little too much

EDIT: It's the last day of February tomorrow. I'm adding more things to the list. They're relatively inexpensive. I'm replacing the Walmart rainboots that I wanted (pictured below) with these wedge Target ones which have a two-inch heel, which will be good for me height-wise. Who knew that Walmart rainboots were so in demand? Should have gotten them when they were in, but whatever these Target ones will suffice. Oh and the Loeffler Randall clutch in rose gold is suh cute. And it will add some pink to my outifts, because I have become rather scared of wearing pink (first of all because it makes fat people look fatter; secondly, I don't know how to work with it and lastly, it gives off this odd vibe to me like I'm trying to be girly? I am really not that girly...)

Anyway, I blab and digress.
