Hi everyone, I am in Melbourne now. I have been here for almost 2 weeks la~~ Basically, I have just been to the China Town to have siu mei rice for several times, and have seen the "non-energetic" kangaroos in the so called oldest melbourne zoo~ I wondered why there is "200" in the entrance of the zoo........... maybe it has more than 200 years history.... haha

I have decided to fuck the farm and hit the city now!!!

Yesterday, I was interviewed by the bread making master in a famous bread shop in mel........ He asked, "why did u came to australia? was it that hard to get a job in hong kong?"....... and I answered, "it's hard for those average students, and the fact is that i make more $ in farm than in office." .......... it's kind of sad for me.....

Tonight, I am going to hit the bread factory.......... with lots of korean and thai ppl........ and I am more and more like a korean than a hong kong guy......... "A Ne Ha Se Orrrrrr....."

Just come back from the almond farm somewhere in south australia~~

Now I'm back again in Adelaide. I have met a couple of HK backpackers yesterday~ we had some fun in the German village today in Mt. Barker~~ but the most exciting thing was that I met my net friend in the hostel~~ how small the world really is??

The Great Barrier Reef

I finally finished my trip in the Great Barrier Reef~~ I was such an amazing trip which gave me both wonderful experience and a open water diving license.

I took a 2-day swimming pool training which taught me about the basic theory and practice of scuba diving. All of us had to pass a written examination and swimming test. In the first pool training, the instructor ask us to float on the water for 10mins. I couldn't do it as I didn't know the skills of floating although I know how to swim. The instuctor told me that I have to pass the swimming test before I get the certification. But luckily, I was managed to swim in breaststroke for 10mins on the next day. Also, I pass the written exam by scoring 42 out of 50. haha~~ so lucky!!

In my first open water dive, it was a bit scary cos I never swim in sea before!! I kept swallowing sea water. I was nearly full after I came up from water. But then I was managed to stop drinking the sea water.

Under the water, I saw a lot of tropical fishes, corals. I also saw a sea turtle which always put its head into the corals........... and a lazy shark which is always sleeping.

And the people on the boat are really nice. We play cards and chat together. We also had a party after the boat trip~~ here are some photos underwater.

The next station is Ayers Rock in Uluru national park

Christmas Time

Christmas is coming!!! I wish all my friends in Hong Kong a Merry Christmas this year~

Now I really know the importance of friend and family after coming here. Nothing can be replaced.

I am still in St George now. I finally tried to pick grapes by myself~ I can only pick 45 boxes while others are making 80 or over!!! And I cut my finger.... WTF! Plus there is no work during Christmas.....

I made some Korean friends here! They are really nice~ They always invite me for dinner or something else even though they have met me for a few days only~~ But I wonder why there are soooo many Korean in Australia~ Am I really in Australia now?

Not in a mood to write xanga~ Maybe later~

What's going on

I left Gatton la~

I went on a 6-day trip to Byron Bay and Gold Coast alone~

The beach was nice~ Sky was clear~ First time travel alone. I enjoy it soooooo much cos it is the result of my effort paid in farms!!!

Now i am in the outback of Australia---- -st George. I took bus for 12 hrs. I felt a bit scary when I see the cactus along the road..........

Damn hot here in the afternoon. And terrible storm at night.......

I will soon start grape picking in one of the farm here~~ struggling to find sbd pick me up to the farm cos i don't have a car nor a driving license~

Now I live in a hotel~~ I met two Turkish men and one Ozzie man, they asking me to join them for onion picking~ they pay $200 a day for me~ Good money~ but onion again...... that's why I am still thinking...

Hopefully I can have more money and time to use internet to upload photos... check out my facebook!!!

Gatton Farmwork 3

I planned to go to st George for other farmwork within 1 or 2 weeks. Before that I may go for some travel gei~~ Maybe Gold Coast, Brisbane and Toowoomba, but probably go there alone~

Some Korean said I am handsome wor~ maybe I should become an artist in Korea after I have finished the trip~

And it's really no kidding for working 10 hrs a day putting 10kg, 5kg potato bags........ all my fingers just cannot move when I wake up in the morning. But it's good money~ HK$1000 + per day!!! (though sometimes there's no work). I think anybody who are fit and able to speak a bit English should come here~ Many Korean just make 200 or plus by picking onion!!! My neighbour told me that he planned to make $6000 in 3 months!!! Crazy!!!

And I have become a good chef now~~ I can make Lasagna (not the pre-made one!), baked chicken pasta with mushroom sauce and many other food!!!

But in here, some ppl are nice, but some are not~ I must have to be very careful in order not to be cheated~ Many backpackers are liers! Although they don't mean to be harmful to you, sometimes they just have no choice.

And today I finished work early so I planned to sit for free lesson in the church and eat free hamburgers which they have such things on Wed~~ haha~

Gatton Farmwork 2

I have lived in Gatton for almost 3 weeks. I did a lot of farmwork now like potato/celery picking, packing jobs and weeding~~

Potato packing job was crazy that I have to put up 20kg bags for several hours~~ I was lucky that I was fired by the potato packing factory because I broke the sewing machine for the stitching 20kg bags.

And now I am no longer afriad of insects and dogs....... cos there are toooo fucking many!!!

I need to walk for 20mins to the town from my sharehouse~~ So I need to buy a lot of food and drinks for cooking~

There's nothing to play with except cooking~ I think I will soon become a good chef.........

Next, I am going to look for jobs in St George~ Another interior region of Australia~

Of cos, I won't forget to meet Bryan and Lam Ka Lai in Brisbane~

Gatton Farmwork

Hi~ I have come to Gatton on 13/10~

This is a small town with only a street of shops~ but the scenery here is very nice!! Green fields, blue sky, and a lot of stars at night~~ (sometimes meteor)

I am living in a sharehouse with a HK guy, a Japanese girl, two Korean (man and woman) and two Taiwan girls.

I did potato picking as my first farmwork on Tuesday. I worked in potato farm in the morning and then went to another potato packing factory in the afternoon~ I worked almost 11 hours in the first day. Really exhausted. But I can earn for about HKD $1000 that day. The next day I started to cut celery in the morning~

Everyday I wake up at 4am. Then I work in farm in the morning. Then I shop in supermarket. At night, I will prepare for dinner and breakfast for the next day~

People here are nice~~ they will talk to you and even help you if you just say "how are you" to them~

I planned to stay here to earn more money for about a months~~ then I will go to other places~

Also, I met a lot of HK people here as well~ sometimes we go out together to walk in towns. But most of them live in cavaran park (basically lived in a car-liked house)

Time is running out~ hope I can post pics here later.
