I’m Married! Yay.

I am officially moved into my new apartment in Georgia and have been working for 3 months at Stephens County Hospital. Oh, I am getting married next month! Time is flying by. It will be nice when Thanksgiving comes because my family will be driving back through my area when they leave Florida to see me.

Life is busy, but good. Xanga isn’t a top priority right now (as anyone can see since I haven’t posted since January).:)

I’m ENGAGED!!!!

Ok, since everyone is waiting to hear what happened I will give in….

December 18th 2007: Michael and I decided to go on a walk to a nearby rose garden in Raleigh, NC (where my parents are now living). We found a nice bench underneath a beautiful tree that was full of red flowers. We sat there for a while talking, but finally I was getting too cold and asked if he wanted to keep walking. Michael told me we could in a few minutes. I thought nothing of it. I was looking around the garden and when I turned back to look at Michael there was a beautiful ring being held up to my face! I couldn’t believe my eyes!!! Was it really happening??!! Michael got the strength and said, “Rachel, will you marry me?” I barely got the word “Yes!” out before tears filled my eyes. I guess it’s such a flood of emotions all at once and you’re trying to take in every second that I could feel my eyes watering.

All I have to say right now is that I am very happy!

And for all of you who are wondering, we are planning on having the wedding this next December. The date is not finalized.

I just passed the biggest test of my LIFE!!! I have never had so much pressure to pass a test! I took my instrument test yesterday and if anyone failed it they had to pack up and leave the room right then… It was like… my life resting on the outcome of one silly test..!!!… just glad it’s over..

Michael left Wednesday. He was here for a few days because he had Fall Break. It was great to see him and catch up. I miss him a lot already, but time has been flying by so fast that I know we will be together again soon enough…:)

There isn’t much to update about Holly… Just the fact that life if going better now that I have finished that test.:) I have a test Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of next week. I HAVE TO pass the ones on Thurs and Fri or you’re kicked out..(like yesterday)…. I’m not so worried about those though.. I think I will do really well.:)

Life is soo busy right now for me. My surgical technology class is going well. We have a test every Monday, and the next one I have is all on drugs and anesthesia.. It is going to be a killer…

I just got back a few days ago from flying up to Georgia and visiting Michael. It was REALLY good to see him and all my friends. I really miss them, but I know I will be back up in a year so I just need to focus on this hard course.:) I go to class 3pm to 10:30pm so none of you call me that time Mon-Fri.:) Sundays are good days to call because that is the only day I am home usually.:)

Ok, so these little guys are my friends right now, this is what I spend a lot of my time doing…. this and bowling..:)haha..

A lot has happened since I last updated… I have been working at Cracker Barrel, which has been hard but good money. My parents officially moved to North Carolina last week. I flew up to see Michael last week for a few days in Georgia. We went fishing and had a good time. I caught my first “BIG” fish.:) I am back living with my grandma in Florida where I will be for the next 10 months. I got accepted into the Surgical Technology program so that was a bit exciting. It just meant I really wasn’t going back to Covenant, which is hard…

That’s the biggest news in a short paragraph. I am so glad that I have recived phone calls from a few of you. It is so nice to keep in touch with people. If anyone comes through Florida(FIONA!!) please stop in a see me, or tell me so I can come to you!:)

So, I have been officially hired by…… Cracker Barrel!  Yeah, I started yesterday and things are very fast paced. Hopefully within a week or two I can start getting into the flow of things…

hey everyone! Rate my poem!…. and be nice!:)

I just got back to Florida from Illinois. Sarah’s graduation from Wheaton College was exciting. It was my frist time to see the college and it was BEAUTIFUL! I don’t know if I would go there ever, but it was pretty.:)

It’s nice to be back in Florida because I am really tired and sick of riding in a car… Florida, however, is covered in a layer of smoke. Ever since the fires started in Waldo, Florida and one in Georiga the sky has been black. It is really, really bad. I have actually been wearing a mask around because I can;t breathe outside. The fires have been going on for a week now. Hopefully they can be stopped soon so people can start going back outside…

Well, tomorrow morning I go to take my CPR class. I started my Medical Terminology class Monday. Hopefully I can study hard for the class and get a good grade… AND hopefully I can get a job soon..:)

But for now… BYE!!!
