Apparently, while envy, gluttony, greed, lust, pride, sloth and wrath are still enough to push you out of grace and land you in hell (should you not confess and repent), now, you also have to watch out for "genetic modification, carrying out experiments on humans,
polluting the environment, causing social injustice, causing poverty,
becoming obscenely wealthy and taking drugs." Somehow, I don't think that Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are going to make another 7.
Fourteen Deadly Sins doesn't have quite the same ring, does it?
Weird fact I hadn't known (or had forgotten)? According to the Telegraph,
sloth actually replaced sadness in the 17th century. Isn't that odd?
That sadness could ever have been perceived as a mortal sin?
