CIMG1163-resize at handler's front yard, eating the loser for dinner. that's rice on a banana leaf, and defeated chicken in the bowl. the winning rooster's owner gets to eat the defeated one. I won 700 pesos from my rooster's victory, and another 600 from side bets! And my rooster was injured, but should recover soon, to fight again. Which means I still own a fighting cock, I don't know if that's illegal.

CIMG1195-resize Lar Shan, basically a huge smoky tent full of charcoal grills, and vendors screaming "BBQ, SIR! BBQ!!" at me.. the picture  isn't nearly smoky enough to do the place justice. They have these spinning plastic bags on sticks attached to electric motors to keep flies away, not that a fly could really survive in all that smoke.
CIMG1199-resize Ivan with the grillmasters
CIMG1200-resize rice in a woven basket, called Posot? sp? means "heart"
CIMG1204-resize they give you plastic bags so your hands don't get dirty, i ate grilled chicken intestine, liver, and skin, squid, and this salted purple egg. felt fine after!

DSCN1695-resize We stopped here for lunch, very friendly family, we had pancit, some veggies (w/ caterpillar for me), and a great conversation. Motorbike road trip, somewhere south of Kawasan Falls. Price of 2 lunches including drinks $1.20
DSCN1696-resize Called a Carenderia, place where lunch is ready in pots, basically a home made buffet.
