HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER IN LAW MARTHA!!! LOVE YA GIRL!!

xanga is rather boring these days. not much is being said. either that or i have no life and depend on xanga way too much for excitement. hmm...

last week and this week i've spent a coupla days painting again. it's such nice weather for painting cuz i can open the window and have a nice fall breeze blow in on me. (there rach, i was POSITIVE about weather) last week i painted our second guest bedroom. part of our house is covered in nasty old wall paper that i hafta paint over becuz the walls behind it are just dry wall or something...they just crumble. so it always looks a little strange, but better than it did before!! i painted 2 walls blue and 2 walls white. i'll post the before and after pics here.

yesterday i painted my baby room. at least partially. i painted the walls a light blue (and no, this does not mean we're having a boy, we don't know yet) and later one of my friends is planning on painting precious moments angels on the walls. so it'll be sorta pastel looking. i LOVE the wall color! it's just so soft looking.

my mom gave me the teddy bear. it's for the baby, but she said i can hold it till i have a baby to hold. i think it's sooo adorable! she also is making me a baby quilt made with precious moments material, so that'll go really cute.

hubby is still gone. i did get to eat lunch with him today. he was on his way thru the area coming from il going to myerstown so i met him for lunch. it was sooo sweet to see him for a little while anyhow. his friends were there too and they conived me into making supper for them tonight. lol, so i have 3 guys coming over for the evening. it's ok..they're like my brothers. i think they might bring a movie along. it'll give me something to do anyhow.

i've been scrapbooking recently. i finally got started on my wedding pics and am having sooo much fun! it's such a fun thing to do when i have time to spend on it and can be creative. i'm not the best scrapbooker in the world, but i have fun. =) so here's a few of my favorite pages. sorry, the pics aren't the best, i didn't have a very good angle.

today i'm babysitting. my friend kathy has been sick all last week and still is with kidney stones and infections. poor dear is wiped out. and with 3 little kids 4 and under, she has a load on her shoulders. thursday evening i babysat for her and now today i have the older 2. they are angelic kids and i love taking care of them.

here's valerie and chadwin sitting in the beloved green chair watching a movie. lol..every kid that comes to my house LOVES this chair and thinks it's "theirs". my dad gave it to me for christmas like 3 yrs ago and the bottom is completely dropped to the ground, but it's still the favorite chair for kids and adults. =)

my cousin debra and her hubby and 3 boys have been around the past week. they are staying at her sister rebekah's (who is married to glen's friend leroy) house so it's been fun to get to see them some. we were over at leroy's for supper friday night and had a fun time playing pictionary and drinking tea. =) this morning one of our friends (kristina) from years ago who used to live in va and now lives about an hour away came up to spend a few hours with us ladies. so after my kiddos came this morning i packed em up in the car and we went to bekah's house. it was fun sitting around catching up on life. kris and debra each have 3 kids, bekah has 2 and i'm working on one, i mean, life has sure changed in the last 10 yrs!!

my hubby left without me this morning....it was very sad! i hate when he goes without me, but sometimes it's just how it has to be. i'm patiently waiting for dinah's baby to decide to make his/her arrival. if it acts like her last one did it won't come for another week or 2 or 3, but i'm sure the moment i'd decide to go in the truck it would choose that time to be born and then i wouldn't be around to help. so..patiently, or impatiently, we wait. and i pray the Lord keeps my hubby safe and makes him eat while he's gone. he just can't take care of himself as good as i can. =)

oh, i forgot to comment on the Fireproof movie. we went to watch it the 2nd night it was in theaters. it was great!!! ok, so it's a low-budget film and hence, the acting isn't the best, but the message is sooo powerful and we thoroughly enjoyed it!! i would recomend anyone to watch it. especially married or dating couples.

it's cold this morning...i mean..it's truly cold! it's 52 degrees. ok, so some of you are prob'ly laughing at me...i know, i know, 52 ain't really THAT cold. but brrr...it sure ain't 80 either!! sigh...winter and i don't get along very well. ask anyone who knows me very well...especially those around here..they'll tell you when it gets cold i get crabby and complain alot. i guess i should change my attitude right? but it's just SO hard! cold just makes me wither up. this last spring on one of the first warm sunshiny days my hubby said "wow! you really blossom when the sun shines!!". as is my favorite thing to say "see..i'm like a flower...". so, anyhow, here i sit huddled in a sweat pants, jacket, socks, and a blanket on our couch, sipping hot chocolate. now that is one thing that i like about cold weather..i can pull out the hot chocolate! oh yah! it also brings thanksgiving and christmas...so that's awesome.

i'm having a fun week. my hubby is doing a bunch of local work this week so for the first time in months we're having a normal married week. i can get up and make breakfast in my pjs and send my hubby off to work and then do my little wifey thing at home all day and have a nice supper for him when he comes home. it's SOO fun!! ladies, if this is what you get to do all the time, ENJOY it!! it's just a total party! to be able to make one meal at a time in my own darling kitchen for a WHOLE WEEK!! it's amazing!

dinah is due to deliver her baby in 2 weeks so i'm actually not going back on the road again till after that. whenever she goes into labor i'll hop in my car and roar down there for a few days to get her back on her feet. come one little baby..let's not make dinah wait so long this time!!

when i say roar down in my car...that's literal! my car is SOOO loud!!! something is really messed up with the muffler and you could totally hear me coming from 1/2 mile away! no kidding. it drives a person almost insane when riding in it cuz it's so hard on the ears. after awhile we start shaking our heads to relieve the pressure. the steering wheel rattles like a madman too. crazy car just don't quit tho! it was glen's first car...a bmw...and no matter how long we run it or how much it roars it just keeps going. sigh...sometimes i wish it would just keel over!!

i wanted to wish some belated birthdays for last month that i forgot to mention. my dear bro eli and his amazing wife jennette had b-days on the 18th and 12th. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU 2!!! you guys are so awesome and we have so much fun hanging out. remember the "stinky" pool games..lol!! eli, for all the years we didn't get along, i'm so proud to call you one of my bestest friends now! and nettie dear...i would've never dreamed we'd become inlaws, how cool can it get? ur an awesome person!

and my sweet sis in law josie had a birthday yesterday. and didn't even remember it! i called her at 10 am and she didn't even know it was her bday. lol! girl, you're a total trip. you always make me laugh with the funny little things you say when you don't even mean to be funny! i'm so glad you're my sil! luv ya! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

monday night i was washing dishes at my kitchen sink and looking out my window into my backyard and saw a familiar summer scene.

this guy and his family live across the fence from us. it's hilarious becuz him and glen will sit and yack across the fence for an hour at a time, but that's the only relationship we have. lol. beyond the fence we don't know each other. i actually can't even remember his name right now. he's a private investigater and has quite the stories to tell. he and glen will talk politics and town issues till they're blue in the face.  i guess that's small town life for ya.

my hubby just makes my heart melt with his sweetness. he is so proud of his baby and just loves it so much. last night he laid in bed with his ear on my belly for like 10-15 minutes trying to listen to the baby and feel it move. he gets very irritated with me if i move around or breathe too much so i interupt his process. i think it's so sweet.

aaaa....i'm out of hot chocolate! what now?

just so ya'll know i did finally sleep the other morning. i think the last time i looked at the clock it was 5:30 and sometime  after that i slept. needless to say i required an afternoon nap. lol!

we're homebound again! yippee!! we left monday morningn an have been to ky and il since then. we're planning to be home tonight sometime if all goes well. glen's dad has a bday today so we might go over to their house after we get home.

sometime in the next few days i wanna go to watch the new movie fireproof. it was made by the same Christian company that made facing the giants. this movie is about a firefighter who's fighting for his marriage. i think it looks amazing. so seldom anymore does a movie come out that has real values to it, so i hope it makes a hit. today is the first day in theaters...go pack em out people!!

my hubby just downed almost a whole box of pringles by himself. i ate a few. i shoulda fed him lunch first right? i didn't know he was that hungry. but once he started then he said he doesn't want lunch...he's only hungry for pringles. lol...
