| | Hmmm...school is as busy as ever, and I do not do well with 17 hour days....yuck. On a more interesting note, Brit is reading a book for an economics/social science class (I'll see if I can get the quote) that was talking about the theory of evolution and how it states that throughout history when a species undergoes difficult times (lack of water/ food, disease, natural disaster) that the species becomes stronger and evolves into a higher state in order to deal with the tragedy and to ward off future tragedies of the like. Interestingly enough, research proves this wrong, when tested over a long period of time, researchers have noted that species that undergo trauma actually weaken and die. So contrary to our "enlightened" evolutionary theory, squirels that are put under stress do not turn into super-squirels and morph into a more advanced state; they actually suffer from more sickness, more genetic weaknesses and more fatalities.........interesting, huh? |
