this morning, i taught our dog, cosette, the meaning of the word "ball." i took her tennis ball and pointed to it and said "ball" continuously for about an hour, alternating with "good doggie." i think she gets it! now when i tell her to come and ask "'ball' ne (2nd word is in chinese)? go get ball! where is the ball? etc" she runs to get her ball. i feel important and accomplished. :D whee!!
