Campus life pictures for y'all.  Just because I'm in that time-wasting mood of posting pictures.  Sorry.   These are from another one of our random movie/food party nights.

And last but not least, THE Pigskin Classic, held last Sunday between the two guys dorms.  D4...I mean the good guys, unfortunately, lost by one point. *sigh*  I'm still sore.  In many ways.

In other news, I finally preregistered for fall classes today.  Confirmed registration is for Constitutional Law, Economics, Principles of Biblical Reasoning, American Political Thought, and Ancient and Medieval Political Theory.  I also was put on the waiting list though, for Comparative Politics and American Political Institutions, so that if I got in one of those I would trade it for probably American Political Thought.  So we'll see what happens.  Basically either way, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will be full, and either Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays and Thursdays will have 3:15min classes at night.  *grunt*

The End.

EDIT - Oops! Found more pictures.   These are from Bear's Den - a fun collection of rock/cliff/sunset/awesome view/bears/etc.

Now The End.

Even though I'm exhausted, I'm having one of those I'm-not-feeling-ready-for-bed moments.  So I'm posting on xanga.  For your warning though, I'm quite not coherent, but oh well.   I'll just give you home people an update one what I've been up to since spring break.

As everyone knows...Lindsay came to visit. (YAY)  Needless to say, lots of fun we had...much more detail could be given, yes....but this is just a summary.  Us in front of the notorious cherry blossoms in DC:

The weekened after spring break, I debated my first intramural Parli tournament.  Now THAT was an interesting morning.  I wake up with Cilla in my room: "Brooke!  Get up!! You're debating in less than 5 minutes! Levi's in the dining hall finishing  y'all's prep - you have less than 5!"  So I took two minutes to stumble out of the top bunk and find a suit to throw on, and ran out the door, bed head and no coffee.  I stumbled in there and off we went to pretend to be the British government.  In short, I hated my life at that time.   But hey...when you go in a round and have to argue that it would be better for the republicans to lose the election, and that Obama is the most conservative of them all on foreign policy (our Prime Minist...I mean...Levi said it, not me!!)....it's FUN.  Trust me on it.

Next day: Rock climbing. LOADS of fun.  Loads of general upper body pain, but it's awesome when you can make it to the top of a particular wall when particular other people you're with can't. *grin*

Fast-forwarding to today...  Not such an awesome day.  If you're reading from home, you may have heard by now of Crocket Asnip dying this morning.  If you're reading from school, he was the son of friends of friends of ours.  It was a terrible, draining, upsetting morning, 'nuff said.  But I love my roommate and wingmates and the comfort they gave.

The second half of the day was much better.  I came back from judging at a tournamnet this afternoon to find tons of people sitting on the grass picnic style, throwing frisbee and eating pizza and ice cream.  It was so summer and it did my soul good.  Then I got to hang off of rocks and cliffs and stuff, and endanger the current healthy condition of the bones in my body.  (Me, Erin Pradia, Karmen, Gibson, Levi, Daniel, Caleb, and Josh went to Bear's Den. So no I'm not talking ropes and climbing walls.  ) Let me tell ya, people don't know fun till they've left their physical safety in the hands of...well...a hand coming from the rock above.  Again. Just trust me on it.  Oh, and do it barefooted.  SO much better. (Seriously.)  Cuts and bruises...dirty feet...similar to summery things, it's good for the soul.

Tomorrow going to Library of Congress to study... yay.... now going to bed.  Sorry for the abrupt ending.

Oh, btw, it ACTUALLY got to like 77 today!  That means I ACTUALLY broke a sweat at one point or two!  Amazing.

Home at last!  I'm pretty much drowning in IMMENSE happiness and joy right now.  Beach and shopping all day......in the bright, beautiful sunshine.....with my toes in the sand.....
100_4023
.....ahhhhh.

That's about all I have to say. lol  Happy Easter.

Oh, and that I feel like I'm a guest in my own house.  Like my bedroom is the guest room.  It's weird.

:(

So I decided that leaving at 2:30 wasn't going to be early enough.  I decided I would leave at midnight.  But then I got a call around 10:30 saying there are 75 seats in the court, and 85 people in line.

And then someone showed me this article.  http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/17/AR2008031702622.html

*sigh*

Needless to say, I'm depressed.

I don't like clicking on random links from people, but trust me, this is cool. And yeah, that's what they all say, but really.  This is rockin' awesome.

Skim.

and,

I'm getting in my car at 2:30 tomorrow morning and going to the Supreme Court, where I will sit outside the doors for seven hours, after which I will be inside listening to 75 minutes of oral arguments on this case.

It's gonna be ROCKIN' AWESOME.  I've wanted to do this for years.  No 2nd Amendment issues has been before the court since 1939, and this is most likely the most significant one that will take place in my lifetime.  It's kinda nerve-racking.
