| Because I want to sleep soon.
- Tennis interschool competitions started last Saturday! I won my singles match, which felt frigging awesome, and the Senior B team won overall to IGGS. Another match this Saturday, and apart from the fact I have to get up at an unearthly hour, I can't wait!
- I've been wondering if I should work at Subway...? I feel immensely guilty for my $250 repair fees for my laptop, and my parents want to buy another car. I really like this Ford Escort that I found, too. It'd be nice if I could contribute something to the family, although there is no way in hell I'll be able to cope with homework and a job, seeing as I am incapable of time management.
- Peace and quiet in the house, finally! My aunt and cousin have finally left the building. Not that I didn't enjoy their company and all, but the house was getting wayyy too crowded. I was seriously getting annoyed with the lack of space. Plus I was eating too much, what with the good meals + ice cream every night.
- MCFLY'S NEW ALBUM IS OUT?! Man, I had no idea at all. I'm too ashamed to call myself a fan anymore! (-hangs head in shame)
- I really want to read some books by Victor Hugo, but with the crapload of work being piled on us already, there is just NO TIME. I'm beginning to panic about my Chem assignment already and it's only the second week of schoolllll.
- Poor Salt injured her leg somehow. I don't know what happened, but she's limping. It looked quite bad at first, but we think she's getting better now. Although, it might just be my imagination, because after all, what the hell do I know about chickens?
- I think my eyesight has gone worse, from the sewing during the hols, and my constant use of the computer. And it just doesn't stop, because when I go to school, I have to whip out the laptop again, then when I get home I have to use it for homework/to relax. My eyes feel really weird and wonky right now :(

| Minor computer crisisthis afternoon. Honestly. If computers weren't so damn useful, I would have given up on them already. Anyway, what happened was, I was using my desktop, and it suddenly hung. And I got frustrated so I turned off the main switch without shutting the computer down. When I turned it on again, the icons and taskbar had disappeared and I was left to stare at my background picture of last year's orientation (I really need to change it :/). I was forced to use my crappy school loan laptop with the lousy screen, and it was annoying at first, but THANK GOD, I found a quick and easy solution on trusty ol' Google. I still hate these damn computers though.
On another note, dinner this evening was freaking awesome! We went to a restaurant (omg I forgot how to spell restaurant and had to use the dictionary) right by the sea, for seafood. It was the best meal I've had in ages. I had a seafood risotto, which had prawns, scallops, cuttlefish, and crayfish (I think?). Anyway there was lots of seafood in there and I just shoved everything down my mouth without bothering to identify what was what because it was SO GOOD. Everyone loved my risotto too. I couldn't finish it though, it was too much, and I was feeling really flushed and a bit sick after that O_O Maybe I ate too fast/much. It was a pity it was so dark though, cos it would have been lovely to see the view of the sea while eating.
Tomorrow, we're going to Eumundi market or whatever, and my dad insists that we get up at 7am or he will physically shake us awake. I am not looking forward to it, because I have been waking up 4 hours later than that, and the drive is 2hrs long. Of course, being the smallest, I will have to assume the middle seat as always, and I am pretty sure by the end of the ride I will have no feeling whatsoever in my butt. I will have to bring my iPod along lest I fall into a coma on the way there.
Speaking of iPods! I have finished sewing your iPod cover, Wenjiachang! It is by no means perfect, but it is pretty darn close. It is freaking awesome, in fact. I love it so much I was half tempted to keep it for myself, but... I won't, because you're my buddy! Seriously, am I not the best buddy ever?
Anyway. Off to watch Shear Genius. Buhbye

| EVERYBODY'S GONE SURFINNN', SURFIN' USAAASurf rock makes me wish I could surf (Hawaii Five-O music plays).
Last week of the hols now, I want to just lock myself into my room and never come out.
Anyway, other news. My aunty has come to visit for two weeks! Yay! It's always nice to have company in the house, so that I don't have to keep talking to myself (kidding).
Also, got a new HDTV! Honestly I don't know what's the big deal about HD because it is basically just a larger screen and apparently clearer images but I don't see it!! And it's too big. And it means having to spend more money buying new dvd player, upgrading Foxtel, etc, etc. Although I think it would be absolutely magic to play Playstation on it. But that's besides the point because I don't have one and I don't know if it'll even work.
I did my first bit of homework today. We were supposed to hand it in before the hols though... But nevermind. At least it's done and now I can concentrate on Chem (-pulls hair out) and read ~Tess of the D'Urbervilles~. I'm getting a bit sick of all this Victorian Era, gender/social discrimination stuff.
CRAVING VERY BADLY FOR ORANGE BOWL AND MILO DINOSAUR. MMMM. I swear, the next time I go back to SG I will stuff my face with every type of food I've been craving since coming here, no matter how fat I get. My tastebuds deserve the treatttt.
WENJIACHANG FASTER UNBLOCK ME OR I WON'T GIVE YOU IPOD COVER ANYMORE. I MEAN IT!

| DAMN LOUSY TECHNOLOGYHello.
It is one week into the holidays now.
First time using the computer since it started.
Stupid computers in this house make me want to rip my hair out.
But anyway.
Some time after my exams I accidentally dropped my school laptop in school. I think I was a little too overexcited because it was morning tea/I really had to pee, so the laptop slipped out of its slippery bag and hit the ground, smashing into smithereens.
Fine, not really, but it could have. It became just as useless anyway.
Some plastic bits of the laptop chipped off. Not so bad, I thought. I'd just superglue them back (I picked up the pieces) and nobody would ever have to know. But then in English I noticed some of the pixels had died. Was VERY angry with myself, and at the computer for being so weak, and all I wanted to do was stomp on the darn laptop.
So of course, when I went home I had to tell my parents about it, because it was likely that they'd have to pay for the damage. Managed to dig out a 'Terms and Conditions' paper and realised that it would cost us $250. Got even angrier, and decided I would refuse to pay for it.
Went to school the next day, and when I opened my laptop, the line of dead pixels had spread. Like some stupid disease. Had no choice but to go to the IT department to see what they'd say. There were a bunch of middle school girls hanging around, probably because the IT department is the only place you'd find guys in the school. Told one of them about the dead pixels, and he gave me a school loan laptop. Better than nothing, I thought. And he hadn't even mentioned anything about paying $250! Pointed out to him that a big piece of plastic had chipped off when I dropped it. And then he said, "Oh, that's gonna cost you $250." WANTED TO PUNCH PUPPIES AT THAT MOMENT. Stupid spoilt screen doesn't cost a thing but piece of plastic needs $250 to be fixed?! I should have just glued back the damn pieces.
Aaand to make things worse, the loan laptop doesn't even work properly. The screen is yellow and for some reason the screen keeps fading!! At first, the fading wasn't too bad but it gradually got worse. Now it just fades as soon as I turn on the laptop and there's no way to use it. ANNOYING OR WHAT.
But I thought, I had my trusty old Mac as a backup, so I'd be fine. Only, the Mac is so temperamental it only turns on when it wants to. And the battery's dead so it has to be plugged in constantly and doesn't charge and IT SUCKS. GRR.
Well, in conclusion. That is why I haven't been online for ages. It's been so long I think I can almost see a layer of dust on my blog. No kidding.
So what have I been doing to keep myself occupied since technology has failed me? Sewing! Yes I have. I've been trying to make iPod covers but my prototypes haven't been working out. I'm currently working on prototype no. 3 though and it's looking good at the moment. Best part is, I don't have a sewing machine, which just goes to show how much of a pro I am. Anyhoo, hopefully no. 3 works out because I have a feeling that if it doesn't I'm gonna just lose interest and give up. So, if you want an iPod cover, keep your fingers crossed and shower me with words of encouragement and praise.
I've also been watching loads of TV, especially Law & Order: SVU. My favourite TV show at the moment (besides Deal Or No Deal HAHA).
Okay I need to go restore my tagboard. Meanwhile I just have one question: WHY THE HELL ISN'T ANYBODY ONLINE NOW THAT I HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER?
P.S. to everyone going for OBS: HAVE FUN!

| OMG I am so pissed off. It sucks so much to read how everyone is enjoying their holidays on their blogs and here I am slugging away as if my life depended it. GOD. And I hate the fact that there are so many seen pieces this time!! I don't care what others say; IT'S MORE WORK. Anyway I've been working my brain overtime today that I just really don't feel like working anymore. So frigging sick of work, I swear. I mean, you can only do so much, you know? It's like if you eat too much of marshmallows, you'll get so sick of it that the mere sight of it would make you wanna throw up. Well, it's the SAME THING with school work. I don't understand how school can just keep dumping all this on us and expect us to swallow it all without gagging. Ugh ugh ugh. I'm winding myself up here.
Anyway, I'm taking the day off from school tomorrow because I need to work on my exam pieces. Yeah, I'm skipping school to get more work done. Oh, tomorrow's gonna be such fun.
Ugh, and the worst part is, I keep snacking when I'm doing my work. And I've been overloaded with work for about 3 weeks now, so you can imagine how fat I am now. But I still keep shoving candy into my mouth to rid the bitter taste of homework on my tongue. Onnnly silver lining is that right after exams is a long weekend! Not even our actual holidays yet but at this point I can't be picky.
Oh, and I got another Fillmore. It's the Mini Adventures Cars and it has a sort of theme thingy:
How freakin' adorable is that! They're really tiny too, only like 5cm long. I can't bear to open it... but I really wanna just pick them up and zoom them around!
AND THIS ONE. HAHA. I'm pretty sure that's Lightning McQueen... in camouflage. Love the binoculars.
But before that, I should probably get back to the more pressing issue, my English essay. Funnology. | | |
