Seeking Miracles

I want you to ask yourself this question:

Do you love God because He is King? Because He's your Savior and He first loved you?

.... Or do you love Him for His miracles?

I heard a message on this last night and I realized that it is a huge problem in the world today, and in my life. We are so quick to be refreshed sometimes because He shows us His power through miracles, but what about when He doesn't? What about when He restrains His power? We stop believing. The truth is, that's WHY He restrains His power, because we're not loving Him for HIM, we're loving Him for His miracles; for how real and alive everything feels when we see His power!

Miracles are for the unbelieving, so that they'll believe. We HAVE the power already! We should be performing miracles, not asking for them!

You probably already know this, but it blessed me, and I hope it blesses you, or at least reminds you.

Thankfulness.

With the upcoming holiday I've been (not as often as I ought, however) reflecting on the subject of thankfulness. Yes, appropriate, I know. But, instead of rambling on about what it means to be thankful, and trying to convince myself I am witty and have wonderful definitions constantly swimming around in my head, I will name a few things that I am simply thankful for; my Lord, family and friends being the obvious. :)  

Love, Moments, Sunny days, Rainy days, Memories, Chances, Laughs, Tears, Sunsets, Mistakes, Forgiveness, Trust, Endurance, Dreams, Hope, Realization, Grace, Lessons, Strength, Weakness, Devotion, Difficulty, Emotion, Truth, Seasons, Opportunity, Pain, Happiness.

..... Life.

One of life's many                            questions:                                                                                                        

Is it better to do the right thing, for the wrong reasons,              

Or the wrong thing, for the              right reasons?
