Hello, strivetobeholy has been really inactive for really long, and im going to try to revive it!

okay basically i know that all of us have been busy busy busy, and it is almost a reflex action of ours to immediately reshuffle our priorities and somehow spreading the gospel and sharing God's word to people just find its way to the bottom of the list. anyway im guilty for such but i think we have to just continue to discipline ourselves in our walk, etc. anyway this isnt a post of time management but really what God has been speaking to me about, over the past couple of days.

Im going to talk about attitudes and mindsets because i sense that these are the core issue of obstacles that we have in our walk. For myself, i recognize a couple of mindsets that come and go.

The mindset i am going to share which i constantly feel is that of fear: the fear of stepping up to pray, the fear of discipling someone because we are unsure of ourselves, and the fear that we are not up to it. i think at the end of the day we are just afraid of being used by God, but in the times that we commit to God, our entire being, we must realise that yes, i have those fears, and we have to realise that yes, those fears will keep coming. But beyond that, we also have to realise that THIS IS NOT IT. yes, it is not all, because carrying the cross really entails that we will be faced with attacks from the enemy, and it entails that more and more will be against us, in the natural world as well as the spiritual realm. but at the end of all these considerations, the question God would pose you is: Are you still willing? When we commit to God our entire beings, and we dont realise that it is not just about following God, but the struggles that will come with it, are we as eager to take up to cross and let God use us?

well this is just one of the things that God has been speaking to me about, and maybe you would like to ask yourselves if this mindset of fear has allowed itself to sit in your mind. because if it has, you really need to pray against it because , just because God believes in you and God really seeks for you to stand on his side to war for your own generation. It is not a commitment for the fainthearted, but one that will test your perseverance, one that will test your willpower to the edge of its abilities, but yet, will you still go, for God?

Don't let kids see "The Golden Compass"

PASS THIS ON AND LET'S HELP STOP THIS MOVIE DEAD IN ITS TRACKS!!!!

There will be a new children's movie out in December called "The Golden Compass". The movie has been described as atheism for kids" and is based on the first book of a trilogy entitled "His Dark Materials" that was written by Phillip Pullman. Pullman is a militant atheist and secular humanist who despises C. S. Lewis and the "Chronicles of Narnia". His motivation for writing this trilogy was specifically to counteract Lewis' symbolisms of Christ that are portrayed in the Narnia series.

Clearly, Pullman's main objective is to bash Christianity and promote atheism. Pullman left little doubt about his intentions when he said in a 2003 interview that "my books are about killing God." He has even stated that he wants to "kill God in the minds of children". It has been said of Pullman that he is "the writer the atheists would be praying for, if atheists prayed."

While "The Golden Compass" movie itself may seem mild and innocent, the books are a much different story. In the trilogy, a young streetwise girl becomes enmeshed in an epic struggle to ultimately defeat the oppressive forces of a senile God. Another character, an ex-nun, describes Christianity as "a very powerful and convincing mistake." In the final book, characters representing Adam and Eve eventually kill God, who at times is called YAHWEH.  Each book in the trilogy gets progressively worse regarding Pullman's hatred of Jesus Christ.

"The Golden Compass" is set to premier on December 7, during the Christmas season (and staring Nicole Kidman), and will probably be heavily advertised.  Promoters hope that unsuspecting parents will take their children to see the movie, that they will enjoy the movie, and that the children will want the books for Christmas.

Please consider a boycott of the movie and the books. Also, pass this information along to everyone you know (including church leaders). This will help to educate parents, so that they will know the agenda of the movie.  I am sending this to those of you who have kids or friends with  kids, grandkids or have influence with kids. So many things today are darkness concealed in what appears to be innocent.

De ath is certain but the Bible speaks
about untimely death!

Make a personal reflection about
this.....
Very interesting, read until the
end.....
I t is written in the Bible (Galatians
6:7)
"Be not deceived;
God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth,
that shall he also reap.

Here are some men
and women
who mocked God :

John Lennon (Singer):

Some years before, during his
interview with an American
Magazine ,
he said:

"Christianity will end,
it will disappear.
I do not have to argue about that. I
am certain.

Jesus was ok, but his subjects were
too simple,
Today we are more famous than Him"
(1966).
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles
were more famous than Jesus Christ,
was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of
Brazil ):
During the Presidential campaign, he
said if he got 500,000 votes from his
party, not even God would remove
him from Presidency.

Sure he got the votes, but he got sick
a day before being made President,
then he died .

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian
composer, singer and poet):

During A show in Canecio
( Rio de Janeiro ),

while smoking his cigarette, he puffed
out some smoke into the air and
said: "God, that's for you."

He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a
horrible
man ner.

The man who built the Titanic

After the construction of Titanic, a
reporter asked him how safe the
Titanic would be.

With an ironic tone he said:
"Not even God can sink it"

The result: I think you all know
what happened to the Titanic .

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)

She was visited by Billy Graham during
a presentation of a show.
He said the Spirit of God
had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to
say,
she said:
"I don't need your Jesus".

A week later, she was found dead in
her apartment ..

Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one
of his 1979 songs he sang:
"Don't stop me, I'm going down all the
way, down the highway to hell".

On the 19th of February 1980, Bon
Scott was found dead, he had been
choked by his own vomit.

Campin as (IN 2005)
In Campinas, Brazil a group of
friends, drunk, went to pick up a
friend.....
The mother accompanied her to the car
and was so worried about the
drunkenness of her friends and she
said
to the daughter holding her hand, who
was already seated in the car:

"My Daughter, Go With God And May He
Protect You.."
She responded: "Only If He (God)
Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside
Here.....I t's Already Full "

Hours later, news came by that they
had been involved in a fatal
accident, everyone
had died,
the car could not be recognized what
type of car it had been, but
surprisingly, the trunk was intact.

The police said there was no way the
trunk could have remained intact. To
their surprise, inside the trunk was a
crate of eggs, none was broken .

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican
Journal ist and entertainer) said the
Bible (Word of God) was the worst book
ever written.

In June 2006 she was found burnt
beyond recognition in her motor
vehicle .

Many more important people have
forgotten that there is no other name
that was given so much authority as
the name of Jesus.

Many have died, but only Jesus died
and rose again, and
he is still alive .

"Jesus"

Jesus said

"If you are embarrassed about me,

I will also be embarrassed about you
before my father."

Bishop T.D. Jakes "8 Second Prayer." Just repeat
this prayer and see how God moves!!

" Lord, I love you and I need you, come
into my heart, and bless me, my
family, my home, and my friends, in
Jesus' name. Amen."
